00:00:00.300 Hey there, it's John. Welcome to my basement just after 5 o'clock in the morning, enjoying a cup of coffee right now.
00:00:07.960 Minus 10 Celsius in Calgary. Last week at this time it was plus 11. We've got snow on the ground.
00:00:14.180 Boy, could I use a little bit of global warming right about now.
00:00:18.660 And, you know, that's kind of the topic today. And I don't want to beat a dead horse. I talked about this the other day.
00:00:23.480 And you might want to check out the rant I did on Trudeau at the G20. He was in a Q&A and he said that Canadians need to and the world needs to prioritize climate change over rent and feeding their families.
00:00:38.360 And the reason I'm bringing this up again today is that the mainstream media is catching up with this story right now.
00:00:44.780 Yesterday Terry Newman wrote a story. It's actually the main story on their web page right now.
00:00:50.880 And he said, Trudeau to Canada, starve your kids for climate change, which is a great title.
00:00:58.540 Following it up, kind of the subheading here, forgive us if we put feeding and housing our families above Trudeau's plans to save the entire planet.
00:01:07.040 Now, so far there's about close to 800 comments on this.
00:01:11.080 Many people thinking Trudeau's an absolute dope, which is true.
00:01:14.320 But other people on there trying to reason with the climate cult, explaining to them about CO2 and why it's not warming the planet.
00:01:24.080 Well, first of all, you need to understand, okay, that you cannot reason with these people.
00:01:30.180 I have a saying that the right, conservatives think logically, the left thinks emotionally.
00:01:35.820 I think about doing the right thing.
00:01:38.940 They think about doing something.
00:01:41.080 And very often what they think about doing, and that something they're talking about is wrong.
00:01:45.940 And they are in this situation as well.
00:01:47.440 But you cannot reason with a cult.
00:01:50.320 And that's what they are.
00:01:51.500 I think the left is a cult these days as well with some of the crazy things they believe.
00:01:55.840 But I want to look at this topic from a different perspective.
00:01:59.780 And I don't think other people have brought this up.
00:02:03.160 Let me put it to you this way.
00:02:04.280 Now, you're a taxpayer.
00:02:07.420 I'm a taxpayer.
00:02:08.400 Now, if I pay my taxes to the city, and the city, in its wisdom, and we don't have a very wise city council in Calgary,
00:02:15.760 but in its wisdom decides to put up a public building with my tax dollars, I expect to see a building.
00:02:23.260 If the province decides it's going to build a road, and I'm paying tax dollars to the province, I expect to see a road.
00:02:30.740 And if the government does the same thing, I expect to see whatever they're building as well.
00:02:35.460 With my tax dollars, I expect to see some progress here.
00:02:39.280 Results.
00:02:41.100 I continually, and you likely pay continually, for more and more fighting of climate change with your tax dollars.
00:02:49.160 In Canada, it's tens of billions of dollars.
00:02:53.080 Same in the United States.
00:02:54.480 Worldwide, it's trillions of dollars.
00:02:57.360 Yet, nothing gets better.
00:02:59.900 We don't see any progress at all.
00:03:01.960 And I want to know why.
00:03:03.420 If we continually put up windmills and solar panels that really despoil the environment, not help it,
00:03:11.160 but it's supposed to slow down the cooling of the planet, why is it getting worse all the time?
00:03:18.800 Don't you expect to see some progress?
00:03:21.560 I mean, I would love it if some journalist, I don't use that lightly in Canada,
00:03:27.980 I mean, our media is paid for by the government now.
00:03:30.980 Most of it is.
00:03:31.880 And I know some of the people that work in media in this city, and they aren't journalists.
00:03:38.260 Why wouldn't one of them ask Trudeau,
00:03:41.160 how much has the planet cooled since we've paid tens of billions of dollars into carbon taxes
00:03:47.760 and are trying to destroy our oil and gas industry, which is a huge part of our economy?
00:03:53.860 Are things not getting better?
00:03:55.520 No, he'll tell you things are getting worse.
00:03:57.740 And here's the reason why it's getting worse.
00:04:00.380 Things are getting worse because climate change is now the world's biggest business.
00:04:05.600 And it's hard to destroy a business like climate change.
00:04:09.160 I mean, people talk about Apple being the world's biggest business.
00:04:11.740 Uh-uh.
00:04:12.600 Apple is a business.
00:04:14.360 The whole world is paying for climate change.
00:04:16.840 And it's governments with trillions of dollars.
00:04:18.680 I heard an estimate between five and seven trillion dollars have been spent worldwide on climate change,
00:04:23.900 and nothing is getting better.
00:04:26.000 And I expect to see some progress for all that money.
00:04:28.960 Now, Trudeau at the G20 also said paying a carbon tax is the best way to fight climate change.
00:04:34.320 And between now and 2030, if he's still in government, the carbon tax in Canada,
00:04:39.800 and I like to call it a carbon dioxide tax, will triple here.
00:04:43.820 And we'll be paying about $20 to $30 extra for a tank of gas because of it.
00:04:48.080 But why aren't things getting better?
00:04:50.120 Because the people in charge are in charge of climate change are getting paid because of climate change.
00:04:56.240 I mean, go to any business today.
00:04:58.440 It's entrenched in everything.
00:05:00.080 Go to Rogers if you have a cell phone plan there.
00:05:03.200 They've got a whole page on climate change and sustainability.
00:05:06.460 They all do.
00:05:07.680 And there's money in it.
00:05:09.380 Lots and lots of money.
00:05:11.520 And have you ever noticed the people that scream the most about climate change
00:05:15.300 and the doom and gloom that's coming along with climate change
00:05:18.380 generally have the words climate change in their job title?
00:05:23.180 They don't want to see climate change end.
00:05:25.340 Or the gravy train ends for them.
00:05:28.020 If you were to go to somebody who worked for the Canadian Cancer Society
00:05:31.980 or a cancer society in your city and said,
00:05:34.360 listen, if we could end cancer, would you be happy to lose your job?
00:05:40.680 If cancer was obliterated and there was no more cancer in the world,
00:05:44.480 would you be happy and be happy that you lost your job?
00:05:47.680 They would say, yeah.
00:05:49.040 I would gladly give up my job if we could cure cancer.
00:05:51.940 Not the same with climate change.
00:05:53.260 These people know their money is in the doom and gloom and fear sells.
00:05:58.000 Now, I'm going to end here with a quote.
00:06:00.220 This is from Upton Sinclair, U.S. novelist.
00:06:03.060 And he was a socialist politician as well.
00:06:05.000 Okay.
00:06:05.140 Don't know much about Upton.
00:06:06.420 But I'm kind of a keeper of quotes.
00:06:08.440 And I keep quotes that I find interesting.
00:06:10.240 And here's what he said.
00:06:11.100 It is difficult to get a man to understand something
00:06:15.040 when his job depends on not understanding it.
00:06:18.500 I think that speaks well for the climate cult
00:06:21.160 and those people that are pushing the scare.
00:06:24.100 And you see it all the time in the media.
00:06:26.120 And you see it all the time in our government as well.
00:06:29.500 So, thanks for watching.
