Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 451 AM, Thursday, July the 24th with the big blue
00:00:10.780
mug of coffee. I hope you're having a great day today. And today I want to do a follow-up
00:00:16.380
on my video from yesterday. And I need to make this quick because I need to be out of
00:00:19.760
my house by six this morning. Got an hour and a half drive today because I've got something
00:00:24.300
planned. But I want to follow up on the video I did yesterday. Here's the thumbnail from
00:00:30.180
it. They're in the way. Time to cut them off. And for those of you who don't know your provincial
00:00:34.680
flags, that's Quebec in the bottom left. That's BC in the top right. And in the middle there,
00:00:39.260
you have the logo for the Assembly of First Nations. The premise behind the video is if
00:00:43.960
these groups and provinces don't want to help with the solutions to Canada's problem and
00:00:49.640
my province of Alberta's problems, then they need to be cut off from funding. If they don't
00:00:55.220
want to help the country and Alberta prosper, they should not benefit from the fruits of
00:01:00.000
our labor. Well, we've got another edition today and I want to get to that in just a
00:01:04.840
moment. But first, this popped up this morning, which I found fascinating. This is in the National
00:01:10.220
Post. I guess it went up yesterday. Caroline Elliott, the end of Canada is coming and BC's
00:01:14.180
NDP is leading the charge. David Eby's government giving First Nations a veto over a large
00:01:19.280
swaths of the province, which will shut down any resource development in Alberta because we need
00:01:23.900
access to tidewater. Just a quick read on this to give you some perspective, all right? And then I'll
00:01:29.240
get to the latest member of the team of provinces that need to be cut off. One example is the Shishol
00:01:38.780
Foundation Agreement, which gives varying degrees of decision-making power over 1.2 million acres of
00:01:44.720
public land on BC's Sunshine Coast to an indigenous government representing just 1,700 people. Under the
00:01:52.640
agreement, all applications for all Land Act decisions in the region will now go through a
00:01:56.960
shared consent-based or even exclusive Shishol decision-making process, meaning David Eby is
00:02:02.460
giving a veto power to these Aboriginal groups. And there's a lot more of them in BC that will do the
00:02:06.660
same thing, meaning Alberta will be cut off from any tidewater. And this is the plan of David Eby.
00:02:12.160
He said that he's very interested in having, being an energy superpower, but he's talking about solar
00:02:17.800
and wind. So I showed this picture yesterday on my video. Here's a picture of a Scott Moe on the left,
00:02:23.480
Doug Ford in the middle, and we've got Danielle Smith on the right. Saskatchewan, Ontario, and Alberta
00:02:28.260
premiers. I guess Danielle should be way over on the left-hand side there to line up all the provinces.
00:02:33.220
They've got the stronger pipeline pack spanning three provinces. So that means we can now get a pipeline
00:02:38.080
to Ontario. Hang on a second. You know, I, I, I failed to notice yesterday that somebody's missing
00:02:45.520
here because if you look at the provinces in Canada, you've got Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba,
00:02:50.720
where's Manitoba? Why isn't Wab Canoe there? Shouldn't he be there? If we want to get a pipeline
00:02:57.260
to Ontario, we need Wab Canoe there, but he's not there. Well, folks, we've got something new for
00:03:04.220
you today, and we're going to add Manitoba to the list of provinces that need to be cut off. Let me
00:03:09.620
go over here. And here is an article from the Winnipeg Sun. Canoe walks away from a pipeline deal.
00:03:16.860
Let me read a little bit of this to you. Not the whole thing. Link in the description as usual.
00:03:21.160
Manitoba Premier Wab Canoe chose not to sign a new interprovincial trade agreement unveiled
00:03:24.980
Tuesday by Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Ontario, citing the need for indigenous consensus before moving
00:03:30.040
forward with major infrastructure projects. Interesting that BC and Manitoba are both
00:03:35.420
using this excuse and using the indigenous peoples, right? We'll get to that in a moment.
00:03:41.620
The Memorandum of Understanding, signed during the Council of the Federation meeting in Huntsville,
00:03:45.900
Ontario, commits the three provinces to collaborate on the construction of new pipelines, rail, and trade
00:03:51.420
infrastructure. The goal is to expand market access for Canadian oil, gas, and critical minerals,
00:03:58.940
while reducing reliance on foreign trade partners. Now, Canoe must have been just not invited to the
00:04:04.220
meeting, right? Nope. Canoe's absence from the agreement raises questions, especially given
00:04:08.420
Manitoba's geographic location, as a natural link to any east-west corridor. However, in a public
00:04:13.840
statement, the Premier said Manitoba's decision not to participate was intentional. So what I find
00:04:19.200
fascinating here is now we've got Alberta and Saskatchewan. We are isolated here in the middle.
00:04:24.260
We've got two left-wing governments. Canoe's a lefty. David Eby's even worse. He's out in the
00:04:28.760
left coast, both of them using aboriginals to get in the way of natural resources. Team Canada, folks.
00:04:34.200
Elbows up. I don't know whether there's any collusion here, whether they're working together
00:04:41.040
to isolate Alberta and Saskatchewan. I said yesterday that this is just fine with Mark Carney. He doesn't
00:04:47.200
want any pipelines, but we've got to add Manitoba to the groups of the ones getting in the way. If
00:04:51.880
you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem. If you want to prosper from the natural
00:04:55.560
resources of Alberta and Saskatchewan, and I guess Canada, then you should be on board with these
00:05:02.720
projects. And we shouldn't be giving aboriginal groups a veto power over anything. They don't
00:05:06.680
deserve that, right? I think the Supreme Court ruled on that. But what I think we need to think
00:05:10.820
about is something from a standpoint of Alberta and Saskatchewan here. Now, I know the Alberta
00:05:14.600
Prosperity Project has a lot on their hands, traveling around the province, talking to hundreds,
00:05:19.280
if not thousands of people every week, trying to work up support for an independence vote and to
00:05:27.100
get Alberta out of this. But maybe it's time we talk to our neighbors to the east and Saskatchewan.
00:05:33.200
There's apparently a larger percentage of the people there that want independence. Maybe it's
00:05:37.300
time to get together and start working together as Alberta and Saskatchewan want to leave the country.
00:05:43.620
I know that's a big thing, but it might be a good idea. There is safety in numbers. There is strength in
00:05:48.500
numbers. And maybe that's something that should be considered. Again, I don't know if there's
00:05:52.260
collusion between canoe and eevee, but we're now isolated in the middle and nothing is going to get
00:05:59.640
done in this country. So let's add Manitoba to the thumbnail. I'll stick it on the new thumbnail
00:06:06.900
and let's cut them off as well. Thanks very much for watching. I hope you enjoyed the video. Tell me
00:06:12.520
