It's the greatest day of the year, folks. Government's back. Oh joy, oh bliss.
00:00:08.080
Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 523 AM, Monday, September the 15th. I hope you're having
00:00:14.340
a great start to your week. Hope you had a good weekend. It was lovely here in Calgary. And as
00:00:18.860
usual, I do have my big blue mug of coffee this morning. And I hope that your coffee is tasting
00:00:24.220
as sweet as mine this morning. Because folks, we are on the cusp of solving all the problems
00:00:30.120
here in Canada. And I'm feeling oh so optimistic because Parliament is back today. Do you feel
00:00:38.360
optimistic? The damage that was done by the Liberals through the summertime can only be
00:00:47.220
accelerated now that we've got Parliament back. And I'm going to tell you in just a moment
00:00:51.040
what I expect from Parliament. Have you been keeping track of the money that Mark Carney
00:00:58.480
and the Liberals, your money, the money they've been throwing around since the beginning of
00:01:02.580
summertime? And then ask yourself the question when I run through a few of these things, and
00:01:06.600
this is not a complete list, folks. This isn't including the billions upon billions of dollars
00:01:11.680
in foreign spending in places like Ukraine and Gaza. This is just a few of the things.
00:01:16.800
When I go through this short list, and I'm going to go through a couple of them a little
00:01:20.100
more concisely and a little more complete in just a moment, is your life any better because
00:01:25.980
of all this spending? How is the cost of living working out for you after all of this spending?
00:01:31.920
And I'll tell you, of the things I list here, there's probably only one I think the government
00:01:38.400
So let's look at this. The government has said they're going to spend $9 billion more
00:01:45.600
on defense. Housing program announced yesterday $13 billion just to start. This is not all the
00:01:53.560
money that the government is spending on this housing program they're coming up with.
00:01:57.420
Infrastructure projects, national projects of interest, $60 billion. The Buy Canada program,
00:02:03.300
$5 billion. $5 billion more for employment insurance. And the reason for that is more
00:02:09.880
people are going to be unemployed and they're going to be unemployed for longer. $370 million
00:02:14.940
for the canola industry, $1.2 billion bailout for the lumber industry, and it goes on and on.
00:02:20.100
And if you just count what I've mentioned here, that's almost $100 billion in spending.
00:02:25.820
And Carney and the Liberals are going to tell you, your life is better because of all of this
00:02:29.300
spending of your money, is it? The things on that list that Mark Carney and the Liberals
00:02:34.900
are spending massive amounts of your money on are things that really shouldn't require
00:02:39.060
your dollars at all. And those things on that list are problems created by the Liberal Party
00:02:43.940
in the first place. Other than defense spending, most of those things can be handled by the private
00:02:49.020
sector. Now, you might say EI is certainly a government issue. Well, the unemployment issue has
00:02:55.040
been caused by Mark Carney because he hasn't solved the tariff issue. People are losing their
00:02:59.200
jobs because of that. That's why we're spending $5 billion to fix the problem.
00:03:05.200
Carney thinks that he can create wealth by spending your money. Grover Norquist, the anti-tax crusader
00:03:11.600
from the United States said, government creates wealth like ticks create blood. And what this is,
00:03:18.320
with all this spending, is a massive expansion of government because he's creating new government
00:03:23.120
offices to handle issues that could be handled regularly by the private sector. When it comes to housing,
00:03:29.920
construction companies know how to build houses. We don't need the government to do that. When it
00:03:33.280
comes to building infrastructure projects, pipelines for instance, government's in the way with
00:03:37.520
regulations. We aren't seeing investment. We've said this before, we aren't seeing investment because
00:03:41.680
of government regulations. But Carney doesn't want to solve that problem. He wants to create more
00:03:45.840
bureaucracy, more big government, more socialism, I guess you could say, if we want to go that far.
00:03:50.800
We've got this woman here, Dawn Farrell, who is running the major projects office here in Calgary.
00:03:57.600
She's getting paid between $577,000 and $679,000 a year. This is Mark Carney's friend. This is just one
00:04:06.240
person in that office. What is this office costing us? A billion dollars a year? She's got to have office
00:04:12.080
staff. $2 billion a year? We don't know. Meanwhile, we go to this story right here. Carney says he's going
00:04:18.800
to cut the public service through attrition because he's too much of a coward to actually cut some jobs.
00:04:24.160
But if we go down here to the bottom, we currently have 357,965 people working for the federal
00:04:30.480
government. Why are we having to hire people? Do we not have anybody out of 350,000 people that could
00:04:36.960
actually run this office? Which we don't need in the first place because if we go to this story,
00:04:42.160
Michael Higgins, Mark Carney's major projects office is a fraud. Despite Prime Minister Mark Carney's
00:04:49.200
hyperbole in announcing five nation building projects Thursday, what he actually proclaimed
00:04:54.000
was rather modest in scope. The projects are not new and many of them have already spent years on
00:04:59.840
Canada's regulatory runaround circuit. Now they must go through Carney's new major projects office
00:05:05.520
as well as intense scrutiny from a new Indigenous Advisory Council. Mark Carney is the decider of everything.
00:05:13.280
And then we get this. This is Warren Kinsella. Smart? This is Carney talking about his new
00:05:19.520
Build Canada Homes organization. The government is now in charge of building homes in this country, folks.
00:05:27.600
The private sector can do this. Here's Priya Paliyev talking back in April. I think it was April.
00:05:34.960
April 10th about this new project. Here's what he had to say. The same Liberal promise. The only difference
00:05:40.320
is now Mr. Carney's promising a $35 billion modular home program. Well, it turns out that Brookfield
00:05:47.120
is invested in modular homes. So he's got another conflict of interest that will...
00:05:53.600
Yeah. So he started with $13 billion yesterday with this new housing project. He's going to spend a lot
00:05:58.960
more on this. Construction companies know how to build houses. Why do we need to spend your money on
00:06:05.360
shit like this? Because it's massive government expansion. Spend less, invest more. It's all spending,
00:06:11.920
a lot of spending, and it's your money. And then we get to this. This is Sheila Gunn-Reed doing a report
00:06:18.960
on his defense spending. Do you have any idea of what the defense spending is going towards?
00:06:24.480
It's Mark Carney's main thing. It's what he's all about. Here it is.
00:06:27.680
Mark Carney says he's boosting defense spending. $8 billion more for Canada's military. But here's the
00:06:33.520
catch. Half of that increase, about $4.2 billion, is being flushed down the drain on climate vanity
00:06:43.520
projects, not... Yeah. Climate. Everything's going to be about climate. His new modular home project,
00:06:49.920
his housing project, his modular homes, he's up the yin yang, like Paulyev said in investment
00:06:55.920
in modular homes. The company's called Modulaire. Here are the homes he's going to build. This is what
00:06:59.360
they're going to look like, folks. Does this look like a home you want to live in?
00:07:02.000
You got gravel for a front yard? This is a get-rich-quick scheme for Mark Carney and his
00:07:10.240
friends. And he's already really rich. Now, what do I expect from government? I was on
00:07:15.440
Cory Morgan's show the other day. He asked me, what do you think is going to happen in government?
00:07:20.160
Here's what he had to say. What do you think we got to look forward to as the parliament opens this year?
00:07:24.320
Well, you sent me a text message a few days back and said you wanted to talk about parliament. And I
00:07:29.120
started thinking about what was coming up. I think there are a few things, well, a lot of things
00:07:32.560
that conservatives aren't going to like, but I was wondering what really had changed
00:07:37.760
since the beginning of the year. I mean, Paulyev certainly has a different riding now. He's in
00:07:42.240
Battle River Crowfoot. He'll actually be in parliament and he'll be in question period with
00:07:46.640
Mark Carney, which should be interesting because I don't think there are too many people better than
00:07:50.080
Pierre Paulyev when it comes to question period. Paulyev is one of the best at that.
00:07:57.280
And of course, he'll be able to bring up tariffs and maybe the pipelines, which you've discussed
00:08:01.360
as well. But I don't think a hell of a lot has changed. And that's the sad thing about this. We
00:08:05.680
had an election on April 28th. Carney was named the prime minister a month and a half or so before
00:08:10.960
that. But Paulyev is going to bring up the same things that are plaguing Canadians right now.
00:08:15.280
Cost of living, food prices, crime, car theft, the price of homes, young people can never own a
00:08:20.800
home, homelessness, food lines, immigration levels, temporary foreign workers. These are the things
00:08:25.760
that are going to be discussed, which are basically the same things he was discussing in the House of
00:08:29.920
Commons. You could probably go back and download a YouTube video of him the last time he was in
00:08:34.480
parliament and question period with Justin Trudeau, put it on ad infinitum, and it would be exactly the
00:08:40.320
same nonsense we're dealing with right now. And it's just a sad state of affairs here in Canada.
00:08:44.880
And just think about it. They're going back into parliament. And in the whole year, I think
00:08:49.120
parliament's going to be sitting for 73 days or something like that at the 365. It's disgraceful.
00:08:55.280
Am I wrong? Do you think this government is going to solve any of your problems?
00:09:01.520
The government is not the solution to the problem. Government is the problem, Ronald Reagan. But Mark
00:09:06.240
Carney seems to think he can spend his way into wealth in this country. He can't do that. God only knows
00:09:12.720
what the budget is going to be like and who knows what the deficit is going to be like. What, 92
00:09:16.240
billion dollars? All of this spending. Let me ask you the question. How are the price of groceries
00:09:21.680
right now? How's the cost of living working out for you? I'm not optimistic. And I got to sit around
00:09:27.120
and watch these clowns in the House of Commons up until Christmastime, spending more of our money
00:09:33.680
and solving none of our problems. Pretty sad, isn't it?
00:09:40.160
Thanks for watching. I do appreciate it. If you liked the video, it's pretty depressing,
00:09:45.040
isn't it? If you liked the video, give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel,
