Summary

After watching the Liberal Leadership Debate, I couldn't help but think about how much better the debate would have been if Ruby Dalla was on the stage. I go back and look at an email she sent me about why she should have been on the debate stage.

00:00:19.540 But I was thinking how much better that debate would have been if Ruby Dalla was on the stage.
00:00:24.280 And, you know, I went back and looked at some of the email Ruby Dalla sent me.

00:00:39.340 Liberal leadership debate recap. Mark Carney still the frontrunner after tamed performances.
00:00:44.260 Carney, Freeland, Gould, Frank Bayless faced off in a debate with just two weeks remaining before the liberal leadership vote.
00:00:49.540 Now if we go over here, liberal leadership race poll shows Freeland a close second behind Carney on first ballot.
00:00:57.360 So it looks like it will not be a first ballot win for Mark Carney, which could be promising for people like myself who will be voting.
00:01:03.940 And I'm going to show you something about that in just a moment.
00:01:06.220 But it is masterful the way this has played out for the liberals.
00:01:11.500 And I don't know that they've been able to plan it all out, but it certainly has played out to their favor in a big way.

00:01:32.600 And then by starting off this leadership race, it's worked out perfectly.

00:01:37.720 But the only way the liberals are leading in the polls right now, which is the case, if we look over here, liberals top Tories for first time in years.
00:01:48.780 New Ipsos polling says they were up by 26 points six weeks ago, the conservatives.

00:01:56.220 And here's the thing I've been thinking overnight.

00:02:12.080 that only the government had the correct information and could protect them from a respiratory disease, for the most part, that only killed older people.

00:02:23.420 Didn't kill young people, but they had parents scared to death their children were going to die sitting in a classroom.
00:02:28.720 The only way they could protect themselves was putting a piece of flimsy material over their face, standing on dots, staying two meters apart, and rolling up their sleeves, taking an experimental drug.
00:02:39.820 And Donald Trump is now, the liberal party is now those four things, the mask, the dot, the social distancing, and the shot against Donald Trump.

00:03:51.240 Canadians are overburdened with paying so much tax.
00:03:54.140 Crime in our country is at an all-time high with no consequence for criminals.
00:03:58.100 This is why Canadians are mad and angry.

00:04:08.740 And this is what she would have said on stage last night that would have absolutely destroyed the four people on stage.

00:04:19.020 The current leadership race is about replacing Justin Trudeau.
00:04:22.960 Many liberals across the country are wondering why Mark Carney, who was an advisor to the Trudeau administration,
00:04:29.280 and Chrystia Freeland, who walked out on Canadians, are trying to fix a system they broke.
00:04:34.700 I agree with many of you who have said electing Carney or Freeland would be electing Trudeau 2.0.
00:04:41.940 She sent stuff like that out, and they had to get rid of her, and it was masterful.
00:04:46.720 And, you know, the thing is, people didn't even question it.
00:04:51.320 She had these 10 things that she'd done, so we have to get her out of the race.

00:04:58.940 Now, here's the only thing I'm hanging my hat on right now when it comes to Mark Carney.
