00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. It is January 25th, Saturday morning, 4.44 a.m. with a
00:00:06.240 big blue mug of coffee. I hope you're having a great start to your weekend. And I think it was
00:00:11.600 in the movie, The Godfather Part 3, horrible movie, where Michael Corleone says, I try to get out,
00:00:19.260 but they keep dragging me back in. And that's how I feel about this liberal leadership race.
00:00:24.780 I'd like to forget it, but boy, I'm telling you, folks, liberals seem to find enough suckers and 1.00
00:00:30.720 fools out there to support them, no matter how bad they are. And, you know, they found Mark Carney, 0.99
00:00:36.620 the guy who's like in the witness protection program, missing since he announced he was running
00:00:41.260 for the liberal leadership. They found him on the Rideau Canal. But what I'm going to do first,
00:00:46.720 we're going to get to that clip of him in just a moment, spouting platitudes. We're going to have
00:00:51.520 a quick clip from Donald Trump talking to the World Economic Forum, and then we will compare that
00:00:56.700 to what Carbon Tax Carney said while he was skating in Ottawa.
00:01:00.800 I terminated the ridiculous and incredibly wasteful Green New Deal. I call it the Green New Scam. 1.00
00:01:08.780 Withdrew from the one-sided Paris Climate Accord and ended the insane and costly electric vehicle
00:01:16.260 mandate. So let's compare that to what Carney said while he was skating.
00:01:21.520 You know, when you look at something like carbon pricing, where it goes to the heart of it's
00:01:27.900 first and foremost, it's making this economy more competitive, more sustainable jobs.
00:01:33.700 It's helping us do our bit on climate change. It's also making sure that Canadians come out ahead
00:01:38.900 right now and then in the future. And what you're going to see from my campaign, my group,
00:01:44.800 working with people like Stephen and many others across this country, across the party,
00:01:51.100 is a solution that works for everyone, addresses all those aspects. That's cost of living,
00:01:57.980 that's jobs, that's competitiveness, and that's building the strongest economy in the G7.
00:02:03.300 So we can all enjoy afternoons like this when we get a few minutes out.
00:02:07.600 So what he's telling you there is he's going to do the opposite of what Donald Trump's going to do.
00:02:15.060 Donald Trump wants to enrich his country, wants to unleash oil and gas. Carney is on record. He
00:02:20.940 wants net zero. We're going to talk more about that in just a moment. What is Pierre Polyev's plan
00:02:26.020 here? Well, his plan is let's get the oil and gas out of the ground. And if you're concerned about
00:02:30.680 carbon dioxide and climate change, which I am not, at least we can ship our LNG to countries
00:02:36.220 that are using coal and eliminate their emissions or lower their emissions to help the rest of the
00:02:41.220 world. We're dropping the bucket here in Canada. Huge country, 40 million people. We live in freezing
00:02:45.820 cold temperatures where we need oil and gas to keep us warm. Every once in a while, my furnace kicks
00:02:52.040 in behind me to make sure I don't freeze to death here in Calgary. But that's who Mark Carney is.
00:02:56.520 He talks about working with Stephen, the guy in the orange suit you saw me insert into that clip.
00:03:01.720 We'll talk more about him in just a moment. But Carney is on record, folks. He is who he is,
00:03:07.180 but he's going to lie to you. Like I did in an earlier video, you can't spell liberal without L,
00:03:13.560 I, and E. And he's going to lie to you. And he's going to try to fool people. I think it was Mark
00:03:18.540 Twain who said, it's easier to fool someone than to convince them that they have been fooled. And a lot
00:03:24.420 of people have been fooled regarding this global warming climate change thing. A number of articles
00:03:28.920 have popped up the last couple of days, written in major newspapers. Here's one of them right here,
00:03:33.780 Don Braid, who works here in Calgary. This is his headline. Mark Carney is a climate zealot who won't
00:03:40.020 back off Trudeau agenda. Here's the same headline, which is running in the National Post today. But let
00:03:44.780 me read a little of this to you because people know who this guy is. With one exception, Carney won't
00:03:50.600 change his views on climate change. He simply can't. Having written it all down in excruciating
00:03:56.700 detail, he would look like the most spectacular liar and hypocrite. There's no question in Carney's 1.00
00:04:01.960 conviction when he writes things such as, a credible, time-consistent, and committed government
00:04:07.340 policy framework can pull forward sustainable investment and shut down unsustainable activity
00:04:13.280 that is no longer viable in a net zero world. The core will be to electrify everything and
00:04:20.220 simultaneously develop green electricity. Achieving net zero will require moving away from fossil fuels
00:04:26.320 to renewables, decarbonizing transport, and reducing emissions from industrial processes.
00:04:32.660 Meaningful carbon prices are a cornerstone of any effective climate policy framework. So,
00:04:37.500 he and Chrystia Freeland and even Stephen Gilbo, the climate change environment minister zealot,
00:04:45.780 are saying they're going to get away from the carbon tax. They're going to rename it. They're
00:04:49.500 going to put that carbon tax elsewhere, but the middle class will continue to pay for it. You can
00:04:54.460 guarantee that. Moving on with Bright's article. This week, Carney got Environment Minister Stephen
00:04:59.520 Gilbo's endorsement. The minister acknowledged for the first time that the carbon tax is unpopular and
00:05:05.160 will have to go. I'm here to tell you today that I will be offering my support to Mark Carney.
00:05:10.800 That, of course, is Environment and Climate Change Minister Stephen Gilbo. He's among those
00:05:15.060 supporting Carney. He is promising to work with him to find a replacement for the consumer carbon tax.
00:05:20.640 Carney welcomed Gilbo's backing but didn't bend much on the carbon tax. Instead, he praised it lavishly.
00:05:26.220 First and foremost, it's making this economy more competitive with more sustainable jobs,
00:05:30.660 as he told the Canadian press. It's helping us do our bit on climate change. It's also making sure
00:05:35.500 that Canadians come out ahead right now and in the future. Carney will collaborate with Gilbo and
00:05:39.920 others on a solution that works for everyone. Gilbo is known as the climate Jesus here in Canada,
00:05:45.080 and he is a climate zealot to the nth degree. You know, and other articles are popping up as well,
00:05:50.920 revealing who Mark Carney is and trying to warn people about this guy as well. Brian Lilly writing this in
00:05:55.700 Toronto Sun. Here's why Mark Carney is the wrong man for Canada. And just a little bit from his
00:06:01.500 article, one of Carney's pet projects was the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero. The goal
00:06:06.880 of the organization is to support the transition to a net zero economy within the financial and asset
00:06:12.060 management sectors. Now, I'm going to show you a little bit of a video that Dan McTague put together.
00:06:18.040 He works with an organization called Canadians for Affordable Energy, former Liberal MP. Dan, I think,
00:06:24.140 might still be a liberal, but he's really come around when it comes to oil and gas in this country
00:06:28.740 and this zealotry when it comes to climate change. You might want to go over to YouTube and subscribe
00:06:33.780 to his channel. Again, Canadians for Affordable Energy. I'll put a link to this in the description
00:06:38.740 so you can watch the whole thing. It is worth a watch for sure. But here is him talking about Mark
00:06:44.600 Carney in a video called Mark Carney is Justin Trudeau 2.0. The important part here to understand about
00:06:51.500 Mr. Carney is that he is really the instrument behind the net zero movement. And not only was
00:06:57.540 he a part of that as ordained by the World Economic Forum and the United Nations, he also played an
00:07:03.500 important part in something called GFANS. After 2021, the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero
00:07:10.440 basically tell various banks around the world, investment companies do not invest in oil and gas.
00:07:15.860 Well, that's very deadly for a country like Canada, which our number one export is, in fact, oil and gas.
00:07:21.900 It's our significant component of why 20, 30 billion bucks in revenues goes back to pay for our social
00:07:27.660 programs that helps federal government, provincial government, and yes, even municipal governments.
00:07:31.500 But it's important to understand that Mr. Carney, not only in that role, but also his role at Brookfield,
00:07:36.900 spent a lot of time dumping on the idea of Canadian pipelines, trying to find ways, cute ways to block them at a time in which Canada could have come to the rescue of at least
00:07:43.900 12 of our greatest trading partners to say, hey, we can sell you more natural gas and oil and LNG and whatnot.
00:07:50.900 We instead took the position or he instead took the position that we could somehow block the growth of that important sector, that vital sector, by ensuring that we build pipelines in Brazil, pipelines in the Middle East, but block pipelines here in Canada.
00:08:05.900 Canada, a country with arguably the third and fifth largest reserves of oil and natural gas.
00:08:10.900 In fact, Alberta has more oil than all of the United States combined.
00:08:14.900 The reality, I think, for many of us is that Mr. Carney doesn't represent a new way ahead for the Liberal Party.
00:08:21.900 It's a sense that the problem we have with Mr. Carney is his agenda is one that is completely out of step and has not worked.
00:08:28.900 Again, watch that video if you can because it is fantastic and follow Dan McTague.
00:08:33.900 He used to be with GasBuddy.com.
00:08:35.900 I used to talk to him a lot on the radio about gas prices, but he's doing a great job when it talks about energy here in Canada.
00:08:42.900 Now, what about Pierre Polyev?
00:08:43.900 Polyev is doing his part to try to focus on Carney and kind of push the narrative about what Carney really is and the threat he is to Canada.
00:08:53.900 Polyev can't be like Danielle Smith, the Alberta premier who's going down to Washington trying to negotiate on behalf of her province. 0.69
00:09:00.900 He's the leader of the opposition, but this is the kind of material he's putting together to try to focus on Mark Carney and tell people who Mark Carney really is.
00:09:09.900 Mark Carney is back from Europe.
00:09:11.900 Speaking as a European.
00:09:12.900 To continue what Justin Trudeau started.
00:09:14.900 A steady increase in the price of carbon. Carbon prices have been applied sparingly. They've been set far too low.
00:09:20.900 He even called Trudeau's carbon tax a model for others.
00:09:24.900 So no matter what he calls it.
00:09:26.900 Effectively a shadow carbon price.
00:09:28.900 A price on pollution.
00:09:29.900 You're going to keep paying.
00:09:31.900 In some form of carbon tax.
00:09:33.900 Carbon tax Carney. He's just like Justin.
00:09:36.900 Another person that's doing a great job of focusing on the danger of Mark Carney is Michelle Rempel-Garner.
00:09:42.900 Michelle being the MP for Calgary Nosehill. Conservative. Great writer, by the way.
00:09:46.900 She's got a sub stack. I'll put a link in the description so you can check her out. 0.69
00:09:50.900 And she wrote about Mark Carney and how connected he is to Trudeau saying, again, Trudeau 2.0.
00:09:56.900 Here's a little bit from that article.
00:09:58.900 Carney has been deeply embedded in Trudeau's circle for years.
00:10:01.900 He served as a senior policy advisor and was tapped last summer to chair Trudeau's task force on economic growth.
00:10:07.900 Former senior Trudeau advisor Gerald Butts is a key figure in Carney's political machinery.
00:10:12.900 Trudeau's current chief of staff, Katie Telford, has reportedly been making calls on Carney's behalf to garner support among liberal donors and influencers.
00:10:20.900 And you've been seeing a lot of liberal MPs backing Carney, including Gilbo, which I showed you earlier in this video.
00:10:26.900 Three independent liberal sources confirmed to The Sun that much of Trudeau's PMO staff is backing Carney.
00:10:32.900 Tom Pitfield, Trudeau's senior pollster, also was reportedly doing work for Carney.
00:10:37.900 In essence, Carney isn't just a liberal insider. He's Trudeau 2.0, the continuity candidate for a government that many Canadians have grown weary of.
00:10:46.900 Trudeau 2.0? You know, I'd argue the guy's a hell of a lot worse.
00:10:51.900 I hope he's Michael Ignatieff 2.0 and he gets the same fate as Ignatieff did because Ignatieff was the great hope of the Liberal Party.
00:10:58.900 You know, parachute this guy in, this intellectual, and come in and, you know, save Canada and save the Liberal Party of Canada.
00:11:05.900 Well, that didn't happen. He got beat quite handily by Stephen Harper.
00:11:08.900 But I think Carney's a lot worse.
00:11:10.900 I mean, you know, Envoy for the Climate, for the UN, WES, Globalist, Net Zero, all these things.
00:11:16.900 Big business guy, makes lots of money for his friends while you get poorer.
00:11:20.900 Now, does he connect with you at all on any level? No. He doesn't speak to me.
00:11:24.900 Pierre Polyev does. I don't understand why people don't like Polyev.
00:11:27.900 Middle-class guy, adopted with his brother, lived in Calgary, volunteered for an MP, had to take the bus to work.
00:11:35.900 And the guy's worked his way up and been a public servant for 20 years. Smart guy. Very smart guy.
00:11:40.900 And hopefully, huge majority and prime minister of the country very soon. Sooner before later.
00:11:47.900 Thanks a lot for watching. I do appreciate it. If you like the content, please give me a thumbs up. Subscribe to the channel as well.
00:11:54.900 I'll see you in the next one. And remember, when people tell you who they are, believe them.
00:11:59.900 To reach Net Zero, every country, every company, every bank, every investor, every pension fund around the world will need to make some big changes.
00:12:08.900 Is there any new options, too?
00:12:17.900 If you ask this one...
