00:00:00.000 Hi there, it's John. Welcome to the channel. Still December the 14th, a little bit later in the day.
00:00:05.820 And this video is called Leaders vs. Losers. It's the tale of four party leaders in the country.
00:00:13.640 It's quite obvious who the leaders are here and who are the losers.
00:00:19.040 Now, the last video in this is a classic, a Canadian classic.
00:00:24.360 It should go down all time as one of the greatest political videos of all time.
00:00:29.440 If you've seen it, watch it again. If you haven't, you're going to love it.
00:00:32.780 Thanks for watching.
00:00:33.940 There will be a massive, most aggressive in our lifetime crackdown on crime.
00:00:41.020 We'll repeal...
00:00:41.380 Okay, let's get the most aggressive in our lifetime crackdown on crime.
00:00:45.960 Yes.
00:00:46.300 How do you do that?
00:00:47.260 Well, we start by repealing the catch and release hug-a-thug laws that Trudeau has passed.
00:00:51.800 We will repeal C-75. This is the catch and release bail law that allows the same offenders to be arrested.
00:00:58.860 50, 60 times a year and be released within hours. I'm getting rid of that.
00:01:02.700 It will be...
00:01:03.200 You will be ineligible for bail, probation, house arrest, or early release if you have a long rap sheet.
00:01:11.780 It will be jail, not bail, jail, not bail.
00:01:13.780 We will get rid of C-83, which allows Paul Bernardo to go into a medium security penitentiary.
00:01:20.300 He'll go back into a maximum pen and come out only in a box.
00:01:23.460 And then the next one we're going to get rid of is C-5, which is the house arrest law that allows convicted criminal perverts, repeat violent offenders, career car thieves to do their sentences living in their living room, watching Netflix or playing Grand Theft Auto.
00:01:41.580 That's gone. So those guys will be back in jail.
00:01:44.840 So it's going to be a massive... And by the way, we're going to go way further than that.
00:01:48.560 We're not only going to appeal the liberal laws, but I'll be bringing in even tougher laws, and I will do whatever it takes to make sure those laws stay in place.
00:01:55.740 Now, it shouldn't be that way. It wasn't supposed to be that way.
00:02:00.340 We were supposed to be on a steady, if difficult sometimes, march towards progress.
00:02:07.280 And yet, just a few weeks ago, the United States voted for a second time to not elect its first woman president.
00:02:16.600 Everywhere, women's rights and women's progress is under attack, overtly and subtly.
00:02:23.500 But I want you to know that I am, and always will be, a proud feminist.
00:02:29.000 You will always have an ally in me and in my government.
00:02:33.700 Premier Smith, it is so great to see you. Thank you for joining the program.
00:02:38.560 Thanks for having me.
00:02:39.780 You know, we want to ask you about your decision to secure your southern border and more about the investments that you're making there.
00:02:45.900 And then also, the decision to do that, because it seems like you are meeting our president-elect Trump where he is with his concerns about illegal immigration into the United States.
00:02:58.660 Why respond in kind there?
00:03:01.900 Well, I can tell you that when I hear president-elect Trump speak and tell you the things that are irritating him, I take him seriously.
00:03:08.460 And so we know that we've got a problem in Canada as well with the illegal trafficking in humans, in the illegal trafficking of guns, and in the illegal trafficking of fentanyl.
00:03:19.880 So we went down a pathway a couple of years ago to start shoring up our sheriffs to train them so that they could be deployed at the border, as well as on specialized teams for fentanyl.
00:03:28.080 And we're just accelerating that plan.
00:03:30.220 So we've got 51 officers that will be deploying seven units.
00:03:33.760 They'll be armed.
00:03:34.820 We'll have drone technology so that they're able to monitor the border.
00:03:39.700 In addition, we'll have dog-sniffing crews so that we can do commercial vehicle inspections.
00:03:45.320 And we're going to establish a two-kilometer zone, which is considered a critical infrastructure defense zone,
00:03:51.920 so that we can catch people going in and out and make sure that nobody is going either way who mean to cause either of our country's harm.
00:04:03.520 If I can be really blunt, I've seen a lot of older white men fail upwards again and again.
00:04:12.560 And that is just going to continue unless we actually try to change things.
00:04:16.660 So I fundamentally believe if you don't change things, you're going to have the same system.
00:04:22.400 And the same system is going to benefit those that were already in power.
00:04:25.200 So you have to fundamentally do things to change it.
00:04:27.900 And that's what Equal Voice is about, saying we've got to change the way things are if we want different results.
00:04:32.580 You want different outcomes.
00:04:33.640 You can't just hope they're going to happen.
00:04:35.060 You've got to make them happen.
00:04:36.220 And that's with policies.
00:04:37.620 That's by putting in place real clear strategies.
00:04:40.820 You know what Montreal Liberals tell me?
00:04:42.680 They're not leaving the Liberal Party.
00:04:44.340 The Liberal Party has left them.
00:04:45.440 And I'm here to say, with my arms wide open, welcome.
00:04:50.180 So on that front, and I want to talk about the protests, what we've seen for now over a year in this city.
00:04:54.900 Liberal government, you know, they can make the argument, well, we've never invested more.
00:04:57.780 They pay for a special representative on Islamophobia.
00:05:00.780 They pay for a special representative against anti-Semitism.
00:05:04.020 Wow.
00:05:04.260 What has that done?
00:05:04.960 Have these special representatives been out in the street shutting down these riots?
00:05:09.700 You know, every time there's a problem, Justin Trudeau creates a new bureaucracy.
00:05:14.560 It creates a new high-paid position for someone with a corner office making a quarter million dollars of taxpayers' money.
00:05:22.900 And the problem gets worse.
00:05:24.660 You know, spending more money on these problems is not the solution.
00:05:27.600 So you become prime minister.
00:05:28.920 People like Amira El-Gawabi and Deborah Lyons lose their posts?
00:05:32.020 I think these posts are useless.
00:05:34.280 I'll be perfectly honest with you.
00:05:35.580 I don't think they do anything.
00:05:37.200 And I also think we have to stop dividing people by race, ethnicity, religion.
00:05:43.120 You know, I think all racism is bad.
00:05:45.600 I'm against every form of racism.
00:05:48.860 And I also think we should treat people like individuals.
00:05:52.000 And let's get back to Martin Luther King.
00:05:54.600 Judge people by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin.
00:05:59.460 There's never been more racism and racial tension than now after nine years of Trudeau.
00:06:05.460 And my only request for everyone is to be really thoughtful and go into the choices you make with eyes wide open.
00:06:14.480 I think there's a number of folks in different countries, and I won't point out any particular one,
00:06:19.700 where folks are going to be wondering about the choice they may be made in elections.
00:06:26.300 Let's not be that kind of country in Canada.
00:06:29.800 On the topic, I mean, in terms of your sort of strategy currently, you're obviously taking the populist pathway.
00:06:39.780 What does that mean?
00:06:41.900 Well, appealing to people's more emotional levels, I would guess.
00:06:47.920 I mean, certainly you tap very strong ideological language quite frequently.
00:06:54.240 Like what?
00:06:56.600 Left wing, you know, this and that.
00:06:58.800 Right wing, you know, I mean, it's that type of ideological thing.
00:07:02.320 I never really talk about left or right.
00:07:03.600 Anyways, a lot of people.
00:07:04.400 I don't really believe in that.
00:07:05.320 Okay.
00:07:06.140 A lot of people would say that you're simply taking a page out of the Donald Trump book.
00:07:11.380 Like which people would say that?
00:07:13.580 Well, I'm sure a great many Canadians, but.
00:07:17.180 Like who?
00:07:18.620 I don't know who, but.
00:07:20.220 Well, you're the one who asked the question.
00:07:21.720 So, you must know somebody.
00:07:23.660 Okay.
00:07:24.640 I'm sure there's some out there.
00:07:26.060 But anyways, the point of this question is, I mean, why should Canadians trust you with
00:07:32.960 their vote, given, you know, not just the sort of ideological inclination in terms of
00:07:39.740 taking the page out of Donald Trump's book, but.
00:07:42.080 What are you talking about?
00:07:42.920 What page?
00:07:43.520 What page?
00:07:44.000 Can you give me a page?
00:07:44.720 Give me the page.
00:07:45.320 You keep saying that.
00:07:46.920 In terms of turning things quite dramatically in terms of Trudeau and the left wing and
00:07:52.360 all of this.
00:07:52.880 I mean, you make quite a, you know, it's quite a play that you make on it.
00:07:57.260 So, I'm just wondering.
00:07:57.880 I'm not sure.
00:07:58.680 I don't know what your question is.
00:08:00.600 Okay.
00:08:00.620 Then forget that.
00:08:01.360 Why should Canadians trust you with their vote?
00:08:05.060 Common sense.
00:08:06.300 Okay.
00:08:06.600 Common sense for a change.
00:08:09.700 We're going to make common sense common in this country.
00:08:13.260 We don't have any common sense in the current government.
00:08:16.700 You know, the guy prints $600 billion, grows our money supply by 32% in three years.
00:08:24.060 That's growing the money eight times faster than the economy.
00:08:28.620 No wonder we have the worst inflation in four decades.
00:08:32.500 I'm going to cap spending, cut waste, so that we can balance the budget and bring down inflation
00:08:36.820 and interest rates.
00:08:37.540 You'll want to be able to pay your mortgage again, you'll want to be able to afford rent,
00:08:40.820 then you have to vote for Pierre Polyev because I'm the only one with a common sense plan
00:08:46.220 that will bring back the buying power of your paycheck.
