John Bolton - Liberals SCARE investors away - Poilievre has a SOLUTION- Liberal voters pounce

00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 504 a.m. Thursday, January the 8th. Hope you're

00:00:08.160 having a great start to your Thursday morning here with the big blue mug of coffee. Feeling

00:00:12.280 outstanding this morning. Hey, I've had my four and a half to five hours of sleep, so

00:00:17.020 I'm feeling good. I actually was at the dentist yesterday and they asked me about that. They

00:00:22.100 said, how do you sleep? And I said, I don't sleep really great. Four and a half, five

00:00:26.220 hours a night. They said, you know, that might be a bit of a problem. I said, well, I get

00:00:30.740 a nap in the afternoon. It works for me. I am a semi-insomniac, but we're not going to

00:00:35.600 talk about my sleeping today. We're going to talk about investing, which you might think

00:00:40.020 is like getting a tooth thrilled. Stick with me here. Because what I'm going to do here

00:00:44.920 is I'm going to bookend this with Pierre Pauliev at one end in an article he wrote that you

00:00:50.520 may have read and reaction to it with another person named Chris Wright at the other end,

00:00:57.140 who's going to talk about oil and gas, green energy and investing. Okay. Now, Chris Wright

00:01:03.880 is the U.S. Energy Secretary. I might play the whole clip for you because it will do your

00:01:08.720 heart good to hear somebody talking about this and pointing out the facts about this and just

00:01:14.520 throwing out truth bombs about this. You're going to be cheering on this guy when you hear

00:01:18.620 him because he's going to tell you a truth about these things that the liberals will never

00:01:22.960 talk about. The media will never talk about. It's amazing. So I'm going to have that at

00:01:27.180 the end. Pauliev at the beginning, Chris Wright, U.S. Energy Secretary at the end. So the article

00:01:32.300 I want to talk about quickly here, I'm not going to read a lot of this. Pretty much if you read

00:01:35.900 the headline, it tells you everything you need to know, but it's the reaction to this from

00:01:39.880 people on the left that just makes me crazy. Okay. Pierre Pauliev, Carney must approve a pipeline

00:01:45.340 immediately. Venezuelan oil is coming and the liberals need to stop blocking Canadian energy

00:01:50.200 development. Now I did it. I did a video on this the other day, card at the end.

00:01:55.360 Carney has a decision to make, but he won't make the right one. And the right decision is to walk

00:02:00.100 out and say, we're building a pipeline come hell or high water, but he won't do that. Now,

00:02:04.680 just a line or two from this article, link in the description for the past decade, liberals blocked

00:02:09.620 Canada from producing the oil and gas needed to replace Venezuelan oil that the U.S. was sanctioning.

00:02:15.000 Those sanctions could end soon. And it could have a real bad effect on my province, my home,

00:02:21.420 my country, Alberta, and of course your country in Canada, if you don't live in Alberta. But what

00:02:26.680 has been the response to this? Well, almost everybody in the left has said what David Eby has

00:02:32.400 been saying. Now, Bruce Anderson, you may say, who's Bruce Anderson? This is just one of the

00:02:37.500 responses. Now, National News Watch tweeted this out, the article that Pierre Polyev wrote in the

00:02:43.340 National Post, which I just showed you. And Bruce Anderson, who from all I can find on this guy,

00:02:49.560 is a very intelligent person. I looked him up. Spark Advocacy, very well-educated man who has

00:02:55.420 actually worked with the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, as well as the Canadian

00:03:00.020 Mining Association, others. Very intelligent man, just doesn't get it. He's been infected by the

00:03:06.340 liberal mind virus, has Bruce Anderson. So what does he say about Pierre Polyev's article?

00:03:12.760 Approve what pipeline? To where? Built by who? With whose funds? Such ridiculous policy on the fly

00:03:19.880 is not serious at a time when we need serious more than ever. Is Mark Carney the serious guy here?

00:03:24.740 Or is Pierre Polyev the serious guy here? Because Bruce, what are you thinking? It's this line right

00:03:29.660 here with whose funds? Because what these people will tell you is there's no investment in a pipeline,

00:03:35.600 so why are you talking about a pipeline? Why do we not have investment in a pipeline? It's because

00:03:41.120 of the Liberal Party and their regulations and their carbon taxes and getting in the way of a pipeline.

00:03:47.840 If Mark Carney walked out today and said, we are building a pipeline, come hell or high water, 0.98

00:03:54.420 Indigenous people, go screw yourself, David Eby, go screw yourself. A pipeline is going to the West Coast. 1.00

00:04:00.780 You would see investment flood into this country. And that's what people like Bruce Anderson,

00:04:05.600 is a pretty well-educated guy, just doesn't get. And this is what you hear from all the people on

00:04:10.740 the left right now. Polyev is right. I see articles like this. Alberta can no longer be considered a

00:04:17.380 safe place to invest. And the reason can be summed up in two words, Danielle Smith, no, Liberal Party.

00:04:23.700 They're blaming the independence movement for this as well, because we're not a good place to invest.

00:04:28.640 I commented on this article. It's awaiting moderation right now. When Alberta declares

00:04:34.120 independence, it will lower taxes, reduce regulation, encourage investment, and get

00:04:38.960 things done. We'll be beating investors off with a stick and have to close our borders

00:04:43.460 to people from Canada who will want to live here. If you just look at this graph, and it's just one

00:04:49.280 graph, just look at this graph. The industrial implosion, investment in industrial machinery and

00:04:56.180 equipment. We are de-industrializing our country. But it's happened over the, well, let me just show

00:05:02.900 you the graph here. This leads back to the early 80s. And you can see, we follow pretty closely along

00:05:07.660 on this upward slope with the United States to about 2008, right in here, 2007, 2008, where we're equal.

00:05:15.660 And then we had a downturn in the economy. Remember that? But it started picking up again. And then it

00:05:21.300 starts to go down. And right around 2015, it drops like a stone to where we are now. Look where the

00:05:26.140 United States is. What happened in 2015? The Liberals were elected. Mark Carney has been an

00:05:33.280 economic advisor to the Liberals. And our machinery and equipment investment has dropped like a stone

00:05:39.620 under these people. Why are we doing this to ourselves? Well, we know why we're doing this to

00:05:43.900 ourselves. We go over to this tweet here, which I responded to as well. I'm going to show you that in

00:05:48.880 just a moment. But this is Franco Terrazzano talking about carbon taxes. All carbon taxes make

00:05:55.040 life more expensive and hurt our economy. Here's Franco. Yeah, this hidden carbon tax on Canadian

00:06:00.380 business, the industrial carbon tax, it's really the worst of all worlds, right? Higher prices for you,

00:06:06.600 fewer jobs for Canadians. And let's start with the higher prices because like, look, it doesn't matter

00:06:11.560 what type of lipstick politicians smear their carbon tax pig with. A carbon tax makes life more 0.97

00:06:18.480 expensive, right? And that's not a bug. That is the feature of a carbon tax, right? Now, look,

00:06:24.740 when the government hammers refineries with a carbon tax, that makes your gasoline and diesel

00:06:30.020 more expensive. When the government hammers utilities with a carbon tax, that makes your

00:06:35.360 home heating more expensive. And when the government hammers fertilizer plants with carbon tax as well,

00:06:41.060 that increases costs for farmers. And guess what? That makes your food more expensive. It pushes

00:06:47.000 our entrepreneurs to cut production here and then set up shops south of the border, right? Worst of all

00:06:53.500 worlds, Carney's carbon tax. Higher prices, fewer jobs for Canadians.

00:06:58.620 Franco's right. I mean, carbon taxes really don't do a hell of a lot for you other than drive up prices.

00:07:03.760 As he says here, all carbon taxes make life more expensive and hurt our economy, less investment as

00:07:09.280 well. That's why Mark Carney won't walk out like Polyev and say, we're going to have a pipeline to the

00:07:14.360 coast because he believes that this is the future. But we're going to get to Chris Wright in just a

00:07:19.860 energy secretary for the United States of America, who's going to throw the truth bombs. Hold on for

00:07:24.240 that. You get guys like this, Rod Vanier from all, I can find out about this guy. He's a pretty

00:07:29.440 intelligent lawyer, community activist, lives in Nepean, which is close to Ottawa. So no doubt he's

00:07:34.420 a leftist, a liberal. He is. I follow this guy in X. He's a nutcase, just like our first guy who just

00:07:39.860 doesn't get it. All carbon taxes help mitigate the effects of climate change. You know, things like 0.79

00:07:44.560 wildfires, heat domes, drought, unseasonal and catastrophic floods. So he must be in favor of

00:07:49.300 those effects or just indifferent to the human suffering they cause. And he's talking about

00:07:53.180 Franco Terrazano. And I responded to this as well. Carbon taxes do nothing. If they did, why do they

00:07:58.280 keep telling us things are getting worse? Trillions into this scam with no results. Chris Wright in just a

00:08:03.220 moment. What did Stephen Harper, former prime minister of the country, say about carbon taxes?

00:08:07.180 A carbon tax is not about reducing emissions. It's a front for raising revenues. This is Chris

00:08:12.460 Wright, who is the secretary, U.S. Department of Energy. And here's what he had to say about this

00:08:18.380 issue. You're going to love this. The things you never hear about is total primary energy consumption

00:08:25.620 in the United States is now over 72 percent, comes from two energy sources, oil and natural gas,

00:08:32.780 record high market share in addition to volumes. Doesn't quite sound like the dying industry I've

00:08:40.060 been hearing about for the last 15 years. But if you roll over to the electricity sector,

00:08:45.660 it's a very different story. In the oil and gas production segment, declining capital intensity,

00:08:51.980 increasing efficiency, surging production. What's happening in the electricity sector? Surging

00:08:57.100 investments, gigantic amount of monies are flowing in. And what's been the net result of that? Almost no

00:09:04.140 growth at all in the production of electricity, but significant growth in the price of electricity.

00:09:10.380 If you make electricity more expensive and people don't know where that policy is going to go,

00:09:14.700 guess what? Energy intensive industry leaves your country. The United Kingdom and Germany are experts

00:09:21.660 at that. And they can tell you in Germany, they've invested a half a trillion dollars,

00:09:27.820 more than doubled the capacity of their electricity grid. And they produce 20 percent less electricity

00:09:34.460 than they did before the half trillion dollar investment. And they sell it at three times the

00:09:38.620 price. Like that is not a winning model. That is not what the world is going to duplicate. We have just

00:09:45.100 gotten so far off track. Think of our industry, smart, detailed analyzing, physics, numbers, math.

00:09:52.780 But when it comes to climate change, we just check rationality at the door. Forget it. That doesn't

00:09:57.900 apply over here. It's only about decarbonizing and claiming we're in the middle of an energy transition.

00:10:05.100 That's just, I think we are in the midst of the greatest malinvestment in human history.

00:10:11.820 10 trillion dollars on a global base has been invested nominally in fighting climate change.

00:10:19.500 What do you get for 10 trillion dollars? Well, to be very specific on energy sources,

00:10:25.180 we got solar up to 1.2 percent of global energy and wind at 1.4 percent. Collectively, 2.6 percent

00:10:34.700 of global energy comes from these sources. That 10 trillion dollars of investments gone into,

00:10:40.940 and everywhere the penetration levels high, prices have gone up, and you've, as I said,

00:10:46.300 de-industrialized Germany, the United Kingdom, California, and you just move industry. That

00:10:52.460 doesn't reduce emissions. If you make it so that the factory closes in the Midlands of England,

00:10:59.260 and it moves to Asia, and it runs on coal now instead of natural gas, and you load the goods

00:11:03.740 on diesel ships, that's not fighting climate change. That's de-industrializing your nation,

00:11:10.140 and having a government pounding the drum on decarbonization, but never doing the math on,

00:11:17.020 on, is it working? A couple other data points. 85 percent of global energy came from hydrocarbons

00:11:24.060 at the time of the Yom Kippur War. Woke the world up. Oh my god, oil prices tripled. They rose again

00:11:29.580 later that decade. We gotta change our energy system. That's when the energy transition movement started

00:11:35.340 over 50 years ago. 85 percent from hydrocarbons. Today, 85 percent hydrocarbons. Let's just engage

00:11:43.420 with reality. Oil, gas, and coal are what run the world. Full stop. We can't make a wind turbine,

00:11:50.620 or a solar pan, or a nuclear power plant without massive amounts of oil, gas, and coal. That's how

00:11:56.300 the world works. Isn't it refreshing to hear a discussion like that? Isn't it refreshing

00:12:02.140 to hear somebody speak the truth? Were you cheering this guy on? Because what he's saying here is so true.

00:12:09.660 10 trillion dollars into this scam. Climate change. And it's accomplished nothing. And by the way,

00:12:15.180 please give this a thumbs up right now. Because as soon as I say those two words, these videos get

00:12:20.700 throttled. I can see it in the views I have. Every time I say those two words, not as many people see

00:12:25.820 my videos. So please give it a thumbs up to help it out. 40 years ago, we were using 85 percent oil and

00:12:32.380 gas. We still are today. And who's standing in the way of investment in pipelines in this country? It's not

00:12:37.980 Pierre Polyev's fault. The people who criticize him for saying, build a pipeline now, they need to look

00:12:43.420 inwardly to what they're doing to their country, to my province of Alberta. It's the liberal standing

00:12:49.020 in the way. And he's right. No solar panels, no wind turbines, no nuclear power plants get built

00:12:56.460 without oil and gas. You know, I've had a conversation about this with people before,

00:13:00.140 and I bring it down to a lower level. If you're sitting watching this video and you're cursing me

00:13:05.340 for what I'm saying right now, look at everything in your room. Everything you see right now has been

00:13:10.220 touched by oil and gas. It's been chopped down by oil and gas. It's been dug up by oil and gas.

00:13:15.420 It has been transported by oil and gas. And that's the only way we have things. In fact,

00:13:20.540 the thing you're looking at this right now wouldn't exist without oil and gas. We need to build a

00:13:26.700 pipeline right now. Carney has a decision to make. He won't make the right one. We don't have investment

00:13:34.380 in oil and gas, not because of Polyev, not because oil and gas isn't lucrative. It is. We have a

00:13:41.260 problem because of people like Mark Carney and the Liberal Party. That's why investment is so poor in

00:13:46.540 this country right now. And if we were independent here, we'd have companies coming in here like mad

00:13:51.820 because we would be investment friendly. Tell me what you think in the comments. I really appreciate

00:13:57.180 you watching. If you like the video, give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for

00:14:01.180 notifications. I'll see you in the next one.
