00:04:18.420 landlocking a trillion-dollar asset that would have enriched the lives of millions of Canadians for generations.
00:04:25.380 And then to cap it off, the federal government announced an impossible-to-achieve oil and gas emissions cap
00:04:30.960 that makes new oil and gas production effectively impossible,
00:04:34.980 which is why Albertans call it an oil and gas production cap.
00:04:38.940 The funny thing about this particular emissions cap?
00:04:41.140 It wasn't imposed on any other type of production, not on the production of cement,
00:04:45.780 or steel, or aluminum, or any other product mined or manufactured in Canada.
00:04:51.740 No, the cap was placed on just one single sector, oil and gas.
