Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 624 a.m. on Sunday, January 19th with the big blue mug of
00:00:06.240
coffee as usual. I hope you're having a great day today and I certainly am. Now, I have a saying,
00:00:13.720
climate change is about people who live large telling the rest of us how to live small and I
00:00:19.540
believe that is exactly who Mark Carney is, the possible next Prime Minister of Canada. I think
00:00:27.080
this man is a horror show. I am frightened by him becoming the Prime Minister and I think he,
00:00:33.440
along with Chrystia Freeland, are going to try to gaslight you when it comes to the carbon tax in
00:00:37.840
this country. There's already talk that they're both going to say we need to get rid of the personal
00:00:42.280
carbon tax so that you don't see it when you fill up your car with gas. They're just going to shift
00:00:46.960
that burden onto business, which you're smart enough to understand when they do that, the
00:00:51.780
businesses just pass it along to you and you're going to pay it anyway. There's no way the government's
00:00:56.140
going to back off on this and Mark Carney's not going to because that's exactly who he is. I mean,
00:01:01.720
do you really think Carney checks the price of gas when he fills his vehicle on the off time he's not
00:01:06.640
being chauffeured around in a limousine? Of course not. It doesn't matter the price of gas to him,
00:01:10.800
but it certainly matters a lot to you. And what do we know about Mark Carney when it comes to the
00:01:16.200
carbon tax? Well, here he is on record. Now, so far, carbon prices have been applied sparingly.
00:01:21.960
They've been set far too low. So, Mark Carney is all about raising the carbon tax on you. He's going
00:01:27.040
to say he isn't going to do it. And again, he's going to try to shift that over to business, which
00:01:31.600
will affect you anyway. This man has had a huge effect on your life, detrimental effect on your
00:01:37.900
life already. And we're going to go through an article from American Greatness in just a moment.
00:01:42.120
But he's a dangerous zealot when it comes to climate cultism. And he's one of the leaders of the
00:01:47.520
climate cult on a worldwide basis. He could be the next Prime Minister of Canada. So, from American
00:01:53.020
Greatness, link in the description, please give them some clicks. Mark Carney, great title,
00:01:57.860
the wrongest man at the wrongest time ever. Mark Carney's bid for Canadian leadership pits a climate
00:02:04.480
activist banker against a political and economic tide, increasingly rejecting the very ideals he
00:02:10.580
champions. And that's true. Many countries, thankfully, are starting to back off on net zero because
00:02:15.440
it's destroying their economies. Canada is getting very close to doing that. Our economy is in the
00:02:20.600
tanks because of this. Just think of how much better we would be doing in this country if we
00:02:25.500
could harness our natural resources and sell it worldwide. But Trudeau and the liberals and people
00:02:32.040
like Christia Freeland have been stopping Alberta, where I live, from doing that. We could be very,
00:02:37.480
very rich. We're one of the richest oil countries in the world. One of the richest when it comes to all
00:02:42.240
natural resources. So, moving along in the article, the politicization of business and capital
00:02:47.560
markets has many fathers. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink is one of the most prominent and unrelenting
00:02:52.920
advocates for sustainability in investing, often described as such. Klaus Schwab, the now retired
00:02:58.920
chairman and founder of the World Economic Forum, often wears that title. So does the billionaire
00:03:03.420
political gadfly Michael Bloomberg. Michael Bloomberg, by the way, just endorsed Mark Carney. We'll get to
00:03:10.220
him in just a moment because they're very connected. So does R. Edward Freeman, the business professor
00:03:15.400
and originator of stakeholder theory, and so do countless others. Of all those responsible
00:03:21.240
for this abusive business and capital markets, perhaps no man is more singularly responsible,
00:03:27.180
yet nearly totally overlooked by ESG's critics, ESG Environmental and Social Governance, which affects
00:03:32.780
everything. Every big company in this country has an ESG page. Check it out.
00:03:37.660
Then Mark Carney. Carney is a banking and economic giant. He was the governor of the Bank of Canada
00:03:43.920
from 2008 to 2013 and the governor of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020. It was in this latter
00:03:51.640
capacity that in September 2016, Carney gave one of the most important and influential speeches in the
00:03:58.080
history of central banking. Appearing at an event in Berlin, Carney gave a very carefully and very
00:04:03.220
confrontational worded address in which he addressed climate change and framed its mitigation in fiscal
00:04:09.400
and fiduciary terms. Quote, a wholesale reassessment of prospects as climate-related risks are re-evaluated.
00:04:17.060
Unquote. Carney intoned. Quote again, could destabilized markets spark a pro-cyclical crystallization
00:04:23.360
of losses and lead to a persistent tightening of financial conditions, a climate Minsky moment. Now,
00:04:29.740
the article goes on to describe what a Minsky moment is in great detail, but as it says in this paragraph,
00:04:35.240
or to put it more simply, Carney, the governor of the Bank of England was warning global investors and
00:04:40.320
politicians that they either had to force business in general to become environmentally sustainable
00:04:45.500
immediately or could face commercial and economic Armageddon. You know, there's a saying,
00:04:50.120
the urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule. H.L. Mencken said that.
00:04:56.560
And that's what Mark Carney is. There's another great quote for you. They want to scare the crap out
00:05:00.960
of people to affect their lives and to socially engineer people. And that's what Mark Carney's about.
00:05:06.560
And he's been socially engineering businesses in a big way. And again, affecting the way you live your life.
00:05:13.860
And you may not even know it. And again, he wants to become the prime minister of the country.
00:05:18.080
Up next, it is nigh on impossible to describe just how destructive Carney's speech and subsequent
00:05:24.280
activism were. Not only did he make the case that climate change posed a real and imminent threat
00:05:30.160
to global economic well-being, but he also provided ESG practitioners and advocates with the means to
00:05:36.340
try to legitimize their social and political meddling. In 2020, after leaving the Bank of England,
00:05:43.860
Carney became the United Nations envoy for climate action finance, which means that he ran around the
00:05:49.660
world saying things like, quote, when you look at climate change from a human mortality perspective,
00:05:55.100
it will be the equivalent of a coronavirus crisis every year from the middle of this century and
00:06:00.780
every year, not just a one-off event. Now, he advised in this article, it's just above here,
00:06:06.600
both England and Canada when it came to COVID policy. So,
00:06:09.740
if that really pissed you off, Mark Carney had his hand in that as well. Again, very influential
00:06:14.120
on a worldwide basis. Moving on. Carney went on to become one of the usual suspects in Western
00:06:19.520
political activism, using any and every crisis to advance his ideological projects. So, he's enriching
00:06:27.600
himself, he's making you poorer, and he's affecting all the businesses in the world. And if you look at
00:06:33.780
this, every crisis is climate change now. Look at the wildfires are happening in LA right now. It's
00:06:40.840
mismanagement by government. Carney's a big government guy. He talks about that as well.
00:06:45.220
He wants more government. He thinks government needs more layers so they can have more control over
00:06:50.180
your life. But they want to use every crisis possible to advance. And they're doing that through
00:06:54.600
the climate change cult, right? By scaring you when it comes to climate change. Moving on now.
00:06:59.780
In 2022, Carney, along with his friend Michael Bloomberg, helped create GFANZ, which is GFANS,
00:07:07.940
the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero, an outgrowth of the UN's COP26 meeting on climate change,
00:07:14.820
and one of the most powerful advocacy organizations pressing governments and businesses to abandon
00:07:19.920
fossil fuels. So, not only does he want more carbon taxing on you and to pass it along to businesses,
00:07:25.920
try to take it off your back when you fill up your car, he wants to get rid of the fossil fuel industry.
00:07:31.740
That's why my Premier Daniel Smith is standing up to Trudeau. Carney has been Trudeau's right-hand man
00:07:40.460
for a long time, telling him how to run the country, I think, from behind the scenes. And I think Daniel
00:07:45.720
Smith understands that as well. The next year, Bloomberg appointed Carney's Chairman of the Board of
00:07:50.540
Directors of Bloomberg LP. In 2024, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau formalized Carney's
00:07:56.460
advisory role with his government, naming him a Special Advisor and Chairman of the Task Force on
00:08:02.240
Economic Growth, something of which Canada has had very little for several years. So, we have not had
00:08:07.500
a lot of economic growth, which is true. Try as I might, I cannot think of anyone, save Justin Trudeau
00:08:13.360
himself, whose politics and policies are less compatible with the zeitgeist in the West at the
00:08:19.360
moment than Mark Carney. Throughout Western Europe, people are fed up with leaders who favor open borders,
00:08:25.660
social justice politics, and the economics of decline as dictated by net zero energy policies.
00:08:32.100
Carney practically embodies all of the above. He is, in so many ways, the wrong man in the wrong place
00:08:38.620
at the wrong time. And yet, now, this article is very interesting. One of two things will happen in
00:08:45.260
eight weeks when the Liberal Party chooses its leader. Either Carney's candidacy will fall flat,
00:08:51.560
proving that he is too out of touch even for leftist Canadians, or it will succeed, proving that
00:08:57.020
leftist Canadians desperately want to corroborate Mencken's supposition that, quote, democracy is the
00:09:03.440
theory that the common people know what they want and deserve to get it good and hard, unquote. Another
00:09:09.580
Mencken quote. I love H.L. Mencken. If it's the former, then perhaps Canada can resuscitate its near
00:09:16.240
depression level economy and become a global energy leader again. If the latter, then, well, maybe
00:09:22.680
President Trump has the right idea. And if you see at the bottom, the right idea is underlined. That is a link
00:09:28.480
to this story right here where Donald Trump is talking about Canada becoming the 51st state. I think
00:09:34.900
I think we're in a frightening position right now. And I think Mark Carney is a lot more frightening than
00:09:40.460
people realize. And again, he's had a huge effect on your life already. There's no way this guy can become
00:09:46.900
the next Prime Minister of Canada. But I fear that he will. I don't think Christia Freeland or anybody else in
00:09:54.380
this race is going to be successful in fighting against Pierre Polyev simply because they are
00:10:00.880
liberal insiders and they have their hands deep into the mess that Canada is right now. But Mark
00:10:06.640
Carney does as well. You need to understand that. And again, not just Canada, but he's had a huge effect
00:10:13.300
on your life, detrimental effect, all around the world. Thanks for watching. I do appreciate it. If you
00:10:19.300
