00:00:00.000 The Liberals got voted in last year based on fear of Donald Trump.
00:00:04.600 And as bad as that was, what's happening right now is far worse.
00:00:12.340 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 432 AM, Tuesday, July the 7th. I hope you're having a
00:00:17.980 great start to your Tuesday with a big blue mug of coffee. Thank you so much for being here today.
00:00:23.060 And I woke up this morning thinking about a news story that broke yesterday. I did a short video
00:00:28.580 on it. You can watch it if you like. I'll probably cover most of that information on this video right
00:00:33.920 now. But I saw this news story yesterday and I was thinking about it and it really dawned on me that
00:00:38.760 Canada is in a much worse place than I had initially imagined. And it's really come to the
00:00:46.720 forefront over the last week with a couple of announcements. This is the one really that I was
00:00:51.720 thinking about this morning. Now, here we have Premier Danielle Smith of Alberta with Premier
00:00:57.220 Doug Ford of Ontario announcing a pipeline from Hardesty, Alberta, all the way to my hometown in
00:01:04.200 Sarnia, Ontario. Now, a lot of people think this is a great idea. It might be, but unfortunately,
00:01:09.740 it's being done for the wrong reason. Doug Ford and Danielle Smith are Canada's new oil barons.
00:01:16.000 Unfortunately, Premier Danielle Smith has now gone over to the dark side, which I'm going to
00:01:20.860 explain in just a moment. Now, what is it about this and the announcement of a pipeline last week
00:01:28.380 that has convinced me Canada is in a real bad place? It was back on, what was the date now?
00:01:35.220 January 30th, 2025, when I did this video in my basement. And I've talked about it here since I
00:01:42.260 put that video up. Trump is Canada's greatest economic ally. And I believed it back then
00:01:48.440 because I thought everything Donald Trump was threatening against Canada,
00:01:52.940 51st state tariffs and things like that,
00:01:55.440 would really, really light a fire under Canada
00:01:58.120 and Canada would get moving when it came to developing our resources
00:02:02.200 and making us rich economically in this country
00:02:05.380 and make life better for Canadians.
00:02:07.200 In fact, here's a short clip of how I concluded that video way back January 2025.
00:02:14.000 The tariffs may still come,
00:02:15.380 but I believe this lights a fire under Canada's behind and leads us to the promised land,
00:02:20.940 soaked in crude oil. I truly believe Donald Trump is Canada's greatest economic ally.
00:02:27.780 I think I started that video by saying you're either going to agree with me that Donald Trump
00:02:32.920 is Canada's greatest economic ally, or you're going to think I'm out of my mind. But I truly
00:02:36.600 believe that. I thought what Trump was doing would motivate the country to do the right thing
00:02:41.240 to get things done. Now, you have to kind of put yourself in that time and space.
00:02:47.400 January 30th, Kearney was two weeks into a leadership run for the Liberal Party. We didn't
00:02:52.760 have an election plan. Polyev riding pretty high in the polls at that point. We thought Polyev was
00:02:57.600 going to win a massive landslide and get a majority of government. Imagine if that had happened.
00:03:03.000 What would have happened if Polyev won last year? Well, Polyev's talked about getting out of the way
00:03:09.600 so that we can get investment back in the country,
00:03:12.040 would a majority conservative party have eliminated
00:03:16.140 all of the regulations and rules
00:03:18.760 and the barriers to investment in this country?
00:03:21.300 And when it comes to Alberta and pipelines,
00:03:23.440 which we're talking about here today,
00:03:25.100 which has been in the news over the last week,
00:03:27.360 would they have repealed Bill C-48, the tanker ban,
00:03:30.620 Bill C-69, the anti-pipeline ban?
00:03:32.800 Would they have told indigenous people, 1.00
00:03:34.480 you need to get out of the way
00:03:35.460 because we're doing this in the national interest?
00:03:38.680 And if he'd done all of that stuff, would investors have come back to the country?
00:03:43.160 Because they're not back now.
00:03:44.760 And folks, things are far worse than you might think.
00:03:48.180 What happened because of Donald Trump last year?
00:03:50.460 Well, you know it.
00:03:51.200 You lived through it.
00:03:53.420 The liberals got in front of the conservative party in demonizing Donald Trump, which drove 0.71
00:03:58.180 baby boomers to the polls with their elbows up nonsense to vote liberal. 0.52
00:04:02.820 They turned a complete blind eye to the dysfunction of this country for 10 years because of Donald
00:04:07.720 Trump, but things are even worse. I mean, voting is bad. We gave power to people that didn't
00:04:13.720 deserve the power. They should have been shown the door. But something else is happening right
00:04:18.940 now because of Donald Trump. Everything that's happened over the last week is because of Donald
00:04:24.000 Trump. And it's not the economic success I expected when I did that video back on January 30th last
00:04:30.340 year when I said Trump will be Canada's greatest economic ally. What has happened over the last
00:04:36.460 week. It's bad, folks. Real bad. The pipeline that was announced between Carney and Smith last year,
00:04:43.200 what's the cost of that? $43 billion, likely a lot higher. Yesterday, Doug Ford asked about
00:04:50.500 who's going to pay for the pipeline, and this is what he had to say.
00:04:54.960 Well, we'll look at both. That's why we're doing the feasibility study. We'll reach out to private
00:05:00.240 sector, but we won't hesitate to do what the government in Canada and Alberta is doing.
00:05:06.700 So let's take a look at all options. And once we have an answer and we will have this done by the
00:05:13.320 end of the year, then we'll be able to give you a straighter answer. Ford's asked how you're going
00:05:17.280 to pay for this thing. Well, you know, we might find an investor, but that doesn't happen. We'll
00:05:22.320 have the government pay for it. And the government is you, the taxpayer. You're going to pay for
00:05:26.560 this. The pipeline last week, $43 billion along an existing route. This one much longer, new route.
00:05:33.020 What's this going to cost the Canadian taxpayer? $150 billion? We're in a place right now I never
00:05:38.080 thought we would be one year ago. And Danielle Smith's all aboard with this now. You know,
00:05:44.400 like I said in that January 30th clip I showed you earlier, I really thought Canada would do
00:05:49.580 the right thing because of the threats of tariffs and other things from Donald Trump, 51st state.
00:05:54.520 But we're doing all the wrong things. The first wrong thing was people voting for the liberals
00:05:59.140 because of Trump, and now we're spending ourselves into oblivion because of Trump.
00:06:03.840 You don't think this pipeline is because of Donald Trump, a reaction to Donald Trump?
00:06:09.240 I do. Now, you might say that the name of the pipeline is a play on Canadian shield,
00:06:15.780 but I think it's called Northern Shield because it's a shield against Donald Trump. It doesn't
00:06:21.260 go through the United States, goes all the way through into Sarnia, Ontario. And Danielle Smith
00:06:27.000 is full in on this now. It's unbelievable that she would stand out there after saying it would
00:06:32.980 be a failure of the process if we use government dollars on these pipelines. She's now justifying
00:06:38.720 a $43 billion pipeline to the West Coast, and God knows what this is going to cost.
00:06:43.380 And here's the other thing. What a lot of Canadians don't understand is the natural
00:06:52.260 resources below a province belong to the province. This is something that's been in place for almost
00:06:57.580 100 years, I think. These pipelines are being paid for by you. Do you not have a stake in
00:07:04.040 these pipelines? Are we nationalizing Alberta's oil now? Are we socializing? If I can put it that
00:07:12.260 way. Alberta's oil industry now looks like it. And here's the other thing. Carney hasn't got his
00:07:18.660 net zero clause into this one yet. What are the rules when it comes to the pipeline to the West
00:07:22.880 Coast? One of them is a giant carbon sequestration machine, the carbon sucking machine that's going
00:07:28.800 to cost $30 billion. Has Carney commented on this yet? Not sure. Not as of right now on July
00:07:36.020 the 7th. But is he going to tell Doug Ford he has to build one of these machines? Probably not
00:07:40.780 because the rules aren't the same when it comes to the East and the West, because our votes out
00:07:45.700 here don't count worth a damn. One of the reasons why we want Alberta independence. But folks,
00:07:50.180 this is really dark going on right now. I never thought we'd be in this place. And Danielle
00:07:56.840 Smith is all aboard. Every politician across this country is going to be lining up for the money.
00:08:02.020 Wob Canoe will be next, folks. He wasn't in the picture with Scott Moe and Danielle Smith and
00:08:07.580 Doug Ford, when they signed their memorandum of understanding to work together last year,
00:08:11.780 but he's lining up to get his money, just like David Eby out in British Columbia. 0.98
00:08:15.500 This is really dark crap right now. Everything justified because of Trump. Before it was votes, 0.98
00:08:21.560 now it's billions of dollars of your money, and we don't have it.
00:08:27.700 Let me know what you think in the comments. If you like the video, give it a thumbs up,
