00:00:00.040 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. Tuesday, July the 15th, 5.37 a.m. with the big blue mug of coffee.
00:00:06.280 I hope you're having a great start to your day today. I thought yesterday I was going to have to build an ark.
00:00:11.980 It rains so much here in Calgary. I think it's finally stopped out there.
00:00:15.460 If you're a subscriber to this channel, thank you so much. I appreciate it.

00:00:23.480 So today, I'm going someplace where no one else is going.
00:00:29.340 And I'm doing this video in response to the news conference yesterday that Pierre Paliyev did regarding Mark Carney and his conflicts of interest.
00:00:37.800 And I read headlines regarding this saying how great he was, how he hammered and slammed Mark Carney.
00:00:43.880 And I think that's a load of BS.
00:00:46.520 I think a golden opportunity was lost by Pierre Paliyev yesterday.
00:00:49.920 He didn't go near far enough. And I think it was a blown opportunity.
00:00:53.980 He blew it. He blew it. He blew it.
00:00:56.080 He made demands of Mark Carney on behalf of the Conservative Party of Canada.
00:01:01.740 But the one demand he didn't make, I'm going to tell you near the end of this video.
00:01:06.460 And nobody else is making this demand but me.
00:01:09.820 So he started off strong yesterday.
00:01:13.480 He comes out and he quotes Mark Carney from the election campaign.
00:01:17.800 During the election campaign, Mr. Carney said, and I quote,
00:01:21.320 I own nothing but cash and personal real estate.
00:01:24.080 And that's not going to change in public life.
00:01:26.320 I own nothing now. I came into public life at a time of crisis.
00:01:31.700 I put my hand up because of the crisis, because of what's represented by that bridge,
00:01:37.480 what's represented by the threats to these good men and women of Unifor
00:01:41.880 and their colleagues across southwestern Ontario and across Canada.
00:01:45.820 I came in. What I've done is put all my affairs in order well in advance.
00:01:52.560 I own nothing. I own nothing but cash and personal real estate.
00:01:57.120 I own nothing now. I came into public life at a time of crisis.
00:02:02.280 Oh, my God.
00:02:05.260 Crisis, the rallying cry of the tyrant, James Madison.
00:02:08.540 So, Paulieff starts off strong by quoting Mark Carney,
00:02:15.320 what he said during the election campaign.
00:02:18.020 And then he goes on.
00:02:19.360 I've got a number of clips, a quick montage here,
00:02:21.740 of the things he says about Mark Carney and what's going on right now.
00:02:25.340 This is an absolute scandal.
00:02:27.580 We've never been anywhere like this before when it comes to conflicts of interest, folks.
00:02:31.480 Not even close.
00:02:34.500 But he goes on to say a number of things about Mark Carney
00:02:37.380 using different phrases.
00:02:39.700 I'm going to come back and tell you what he should have said.
00:02:42.520 On Friday, we finally got a look at the Prime Minister's many financial interests.
00:02:49.980 Interests that he kept carefully hidden throughout the election
00:02:52.440 and about which he told numerous falsehoods during that same campaign.
00:02:58.160 These are what the revelations tell us.
00:03:00.060 One, that Mr. Carney was not upfront or honest with Canadians during the election.
00:03:05.360 He made numerous false statements, statements he would have known were false when he made them.
00:03:11.080 So, it was patently and now provably false for him to say he owned nothing but cash and real estate.
00:03:17.140 So, when he said that he had no connection to Brookfield, he was stating a patent falsehood.
00:03:22.360 I'm going to get to what Pierre Polyev should have demanded of Mark Carney yesterday in just a moment.
00:03:29.280 It's what I want and it's a hum zinger, folks.
00:03:32.460 Okay, so stay tuned for that.
00:03:34.200 But what did Pierre Polyev just say there in that short montage?
00:03:37.280 He used the words,
00:03:38.220 Now, as somebody that knows the English language, what was he saying about Mark Carney?
00:03:51.940 What was he calling Mark Carney yesterday, but he never came out and said it?
00:03:55.420 He was calling him a liar.
00:03:56.900 Why didn't he call him a liar yesterday?
00:03:59.220 Why didn't he come out and say Mark Carney lied to Canadians?
00:04:02.840 The man is a liar.
00:04:04.560 He got elected on lies.
00:04:06.780 Why didn't he say that yesterday?
00:04:08.400 Now, I understand as an MP, if you're in the House of Commons in question period and you call somebody a liar, you get thrown out.
00:04:15.560 But Pierre Polyev isn't even an MP.
00:04:17.380 He's a private citizen who is leading the Conservative Party right now, likely to win back his seat.
00:04:24.200 So, he's got nothing to hold back.
00:04:26.280 Imagine if he'd called Mark Carney a liar yesterday.
00:04:28.940 Very few people are talking about this this morning.
00:04:31.160 At the end of this news conference yesterday, he took questions.
00:04:35.120 Nobody asked about Mark Carney's conflicts.
00:04:37.480 Nobody.
00:04:38.080 First question was,
00:04:39.280 Mr. Polyev, you know, you lost the election.
00:04:41.280 Did you learn anything?
00:04:42.620 Mr. Polyev, can you tell us about Alberta independence?
00:04:45.340 Nobody asked him about this.
00:04:46.860 If he had called Mark Carney a liar yesterday, it would have been screaming from the headlines.
00:04:50.980 And Carney, who I, from what I understand, he's on vacation in freaking Australia or something right now.
00:04:56.000 He would have come out with a statement yesterday.
00:04:58.040 But nothing.
00:04:58.760 Nothing.
00:05:01.160 Nothing.
00:05:01.760 He blew it.
00:05:02.760 This was a blown opportunity.
00:05:06.220 Sell the sizzle, not the steak, Mr. Polyev.
00:05:08.780 That's what you should have done yesterday.
00:05:10.540 You blew it.
00:05:14.180 So, what should he have demanded yesterday?
00:05:16.280 Here are the demands of the Conservative Party.
00:05:18.700 Here's what he wants from Mark Carney now that we know about all these conflicts of interest.
00:05:23.320 And then, I'm going to tell you what he should have asked yesterday.
00:05:26.420 The demand he should have asked of Mark Carney yesterday.
00:05:29.020 So, Conservatives are calling for two things today.
00:05:31.720 One, we call on the Prime Minister to come before you and explain the contradiction.
00:05:36.040 How is it that he was telling Canadians that he only had real estate and cash when he knowingly had stocks, stock options, and other deferred benefits?
00:05:46.300 How is it that he said that he had no financial interest in Brookfield when he knew exactly that he had stock options and deferred share units?
00:05:55.260 Polyev went on at length with the explanation here of the demands that the Conservative Party have of Mr. Carney.
00:06:02.060 But what did he forget there?
00:06:04.140 It's the thing I think he should have done yesterday.
00:06:06.300 It's what I would have done.
00:06:07.200 I know it's extreme and everything.
00:06:08.940 But he should have asked Mark Carney to resign yesterday.
00:06:12.980 I think he should resign.
00:06:14.480 Why?
00:06:15.500 He alluded to it yesterday.
00:06:17.520 But here's what he had to say about Mark Carney if he had conflicts of interest.
00:06:21.640 This is during the election campaign.
00:06:23.760 He expects us to elect him without knowing the many millions of dollars of conflicts that will make it impossible for him to do his job.
00:06:33.100 Interests that go against the national interest.
00:06:35.460 It would make it impossible for him to do his job.
00:06:38.320 And he's right.
00:06:38.940 He was right during the election campaign.
00:06:40.800 You cannot do your job properly with all these conflicts.
00:06:44.360 We've never been in this place before.
00:06:46.360 Now, Polyev did allude to this yesterday.
00:06:48.320 This is what he had to say.
00:06:49.720 And this will put him in an impossible position where he will be conflicted at every turn.
00:06:53.760 So either he will have to get up three or four times every cabinet meeting to avoid stumbling over the 100 plus potential conflicts that the ethics commissioner has identified.
00:07:06.280 Or he will act in the cabinet to potentially favor his own interests.
00:07:11.680 Neither of those possibilities is acceptable.
00:07:13.920 It's impossible for him to do his job.
00:07:17.180 I don't trust Mark Carney to police himself.
00:07:19.660 I don't trust anybody in the Liberal Party to police Mark Carney when it comes to conflicts of interest.
00:07:25.280 And I don't trust Mark Carney not to pass along your tax dollars to somebody who knows in business because he knows a lot of people in business or the Communist Chinese while he's the prime minister.
00:07:35.420 And he benefits from it after he gets out of office.
00:07:38.140 I don't trust the Liberal Party because they've done this kind of thing before, the Green Slush Fund.
00:07:43.280 But Polyev blew it.
00:07:44.060 It wasn't a good presser yesterday.
00:07:46.940 Just imagine if he'd have called him a liar yesterday.
00:07:50.800 Imagine if he'd have called on him to resign yesterday.
00:07:53.340 Something would have come of this.
00:07:55.200 But what's going to come of this from the people who vote for Mark Carney?
00:07:57.920 Nothing.
00:07:58.420 They're too far gone.
00:07:59.280 It was in my video yesterday.
00:08:00.380 They're too far gone.
00:08:01.820 He can do no wrong.
00:08:02.880 They're online right now hammering Pierre Polyev for what he said yesterday.
00:08:06.080 They just don't get it.
00:08:09.100 They just don't get it and they don't care.
00:08:12.720 That's how far gone the country is.
00:08:15.860 Here's another plug for Alberta independence.
00:08:18.440 Tell me what you think.
00:08:20.400 Should he have asked Mark Carney to resign yesterday and should he have called him a bold-faced liar?
00:08:27.600 I'd love to hear what you have to say in the comments.
00:08:29.960 Thanks for watching this video.
00:08:31.180 I do appreciate it.
00:08:32.200 If you liked it, give it a thumbs up.
