John Bolton - Rachel NOTLEY and Thomas LUKASZUK, how LOW can they go？ - Very Low!

00:00:00.000 you know the crud that you sometimes have to scrape off the bottom of your shoe

00:00:03.840 i'll be talking about two people like that today

00:00:08.160 hi it's john and welcome to the channel 237 a.m it is saturday february the 21st i hope you're

00:00:17.480 having a great start to your weekend here with the big blue mug of coffee and i really wish i

00:00:22.420 didn't have to do a video like this i really wish we could tone things down or let me be more clear i

00:00:30.820 wish the other side would tone things down a little bit we live in an odd age we live in the internet

00:00:41.180 age and it's very easy for people to hide behind their keyboard when you come to this channel my

00:00:48.080 name is on this channel it says john bolton on this channel anything i say on this channel belongs

00:00:53.480 to me i'm responsible for what i say if i post on x my name is on x and i'm responsible for what i put

00:01:02.380 on x i don't hide behind anonymity which a lot of people do and it's so easy to say things these

00:01:09.100 days online and just hide behind that anonymity and i think that's sad i think if you really

00:01:16.720 believe in something put your name behind it but it's become increasingly easy to throw around

00:01:23.040 things online you know i often say to people i'm glad i didn't have the internet when i was a kid 0.95

00:01:27.480 i can't imagine the kind of things i would have said online because i was too stupid to stop and think

00:01:32.640 you know maybe i shouldn't hit send and though in the old days folks you might write a letter

00:01:38.120 because you you felt something deep inside you wanted to get out by sending that letter to that person

00:01:45.420 but a lot of it was was animus and it was mean and it was angry and and you had to take the letter

00:01:52.660 and put it in an envelope and find a stamp and walk down and mail it and by the time you did that you

00:01:57.220 thought you know maybe i shouldn't send the letter so you would tear it up nowadays you just hit send

00:02:01.460 and this is the age we live in right now it's so easy to label people with things i mean over the

00:02:12.260 years i've been called a racist just for having an opinion on something that people don't like

00:02:17.640 people in the street yell at you because you're a call you a fascist it's thrown around so willy-nilly

00:02:22.720 the words don't mean anything anymore so we have to go to the next level

00:02:27.200 the problem is some of the people throwing these words around

00:02:32.720 aren't just anonymous people behind their keyboards do you know what godwin's law is 1.00

00:02:38.600 yeah i've asked you some questions the last couple of days it's not because i think you're stupid 0.99

00:02:44.240 you know in broadcasting there's a saying never underestimate the intelligence of your audience 0.98

00:02:49.080 i mean i went to high school and graduated and went to broadcasting school there are plenty of you 0.99

00:02:53.060 who have more education than me so i'm not i'm not suggesting that you're stupid 0.98

00:02:56.880 hell yesterday i asked you if you knew who rube goldberg was as if you were supposed to know that 0.99

00:03:01.360 but do you know what godwin's law is here is godwin's law

00:03:05.800 godwin's law short for godwin's law of nazi analogies is an internet adage asserting as an

00:03:14.460 online discussion grows longer the probability of a comparison involving nazis or hitler approaches one

00:03:21.040 unfortunately we get to godwin's law a lot quicker these days folks it's the first thing people say

00:03:27.080 it's thrown around willy-nilly the words almost have no meaning when you call somebody a nazi

00:03:31.960 or compare them to adolf hitler but it has to have meaning deep meaning because it's one of the

00:03:38.600 most disgraceful things to happen in human history if not the most disgraceful thing and pardon me for

00:03:44.940 this long preamble to get to my point but i thought it was necessary who is being called a nazi

00:03:54.060 who is being compared to adolf hitler danielle smith the premier of alberta by people who aren't

00:03:59.620 anonymous keyboard warriors but people who should know better

00:04:03.020 the former premier of alberta rachel notley and the former deputy premier of this province

00:04:12.320 thomas lukazic who just so happens to be the leader of the forever canadian campaign

00:04:19.820 the anti-independence group here in alberta and the thing is they rile up their base who absolutely

00:04:25.340 love this and it's disgraceful these people notley and lukazic should be denounced and called out for 0.79

00:04:31.480 this and they need to apologize and danielle smith i've got words from her talking about this for you

00:04:37.040 in just a moment and why is danielle smith being called or compared to adolf hitler and nazis because of

00:04:45.080 this now these are edited questions for the referendum she announced yesterday these are the

00:04:55.000 first four questions and i've broken them down to make it much easier one should alberta decrease 1.00

00:05:00.260 immigration two should only albertans be eligible for provincial programs three should people have

00:05:05.720 to wait 12 months to qualify for those programs and four should there be a fee for non-permanent

00:05:11.020 residents to use alberta's health care and education they sound like perfectly good questions

00:05:17.040 because here's an absolute fact we've been bringing too many people into this country and danielle smith 1.00

00:05:22.540 is saying listen we have too many people coming here they're filling up our health care system 0.96

00:05:27.220 they're filling up our education system and this is an issue that needs to be discussed

00:05:31.500 and the people of alberta will decide in a referendum in the fall

00:05:35.840 i think this is a good thing

00:05:38.520 the federal government thinks this is a good thing here's an article from the national post

00:05:46.940 feds won't stand in the way of alberta's fall referendum stress common immigration goals just

00:05:52.540 a little bit of this i'm not going to read all this to you federal officials said they won't stand

00:05:56.680 in the way of alberta premier danielle smith's plan to put a number of constitutional

00:06:00.420 and immigration related questions to a referendum in the fall and say they're already taking

00:06:05.400 meaningful steps to bring migration down to a sustainable level because it's unsustainable

00:06:10.900 yet danielle smith i'm going to get to the comments from rachel notley and thomas lakazic in a moment on

00:06:17.480 facebook

00:06:17.940 but here's credit where it's due this is rick bell i saw this at one o'clock this morning when i woke up

00:06:28.660 daniel smith the nazi rachel notley and lakazic should be denounced where's the condemnation of

00:06:34.900 rachel notley and thomas lakazic from comparing smith to nazis a year ago alberta premier daniel

00:06:40.960 smith was called a traitor now smith is compared to hitler's nazis and she's not compared to the

00:06:46.040 nazis by the usual unhinged social media bottom feeder no smith is slimed by the former premier

00:06:52.440 of alberta that's rachel notley smith is also slimed by the former deputy premier of alberta that's

00:06:57.900 thomas lakazic and by the way lakazic is also the main man for the anti-independent side of the

00:07:03.240 alberta independence debate these are big names they should know better this should be beneath them

00:07:08.620 well said he goes on to say that if if somebody in the united conservative party were saying

00:07:14.500 something like this against rachel notley it would be an uproar it would be a national media

00:07:18.440 story but it isn't right now i want to read something to you i think i may have used this on

00:07:24.640 my channel before i'm going to bring it up on the screen here now this is from the holocaust

00:07:31.300 memorial day trust i can't recall why i use this but i have used this before you may have heard this

00:07:37.180 before first they came by pastor martin niemahler and there's a reason i'm reading this because rachel

00:07:42.020 notley used this not exactly but she twisted it to slime danielle smith first they came for the 1.00

00:07:50.940 communist and i did not speak out because i was not a communist then they came for the socialist and i

00:07:56.160 did not speak out because i was not a socialist then they came for the trade unionist and i did not

00:08:01.320 speak out because i was not a trade unionist then they came for the jews and i did not speak out 0.98

00:08:06.320 because i was not a jew then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me very

00:08:11.980 strong words. And let's go to Rachel Notley. Here she is here. Sorry, I had to reload the page

00:08:18.780 there. First, they came for the trans people. Then they came for the unionized workers. Next,

00:08:23.920 it was judges. Now it's immigrants. If you think that you or someone you love won't be next,

00:08:28.240 you're sorely mistaken, obviously, using the poem I just read to you to write this paragraph right

00:08:35.860 here. It's disgraceful. UCP voter, NDP voter, pro-environment, pro-business, rich or poor,

00:08:42.000 these things don't matter. What matters is that we have the moral strength to call out this vile,

00:08:46.220 divisive tactic by this premier. This is a vile and divisive tactic by this former premier of this

00:08:53.240 province. And no doubt playing on the ignorance of the people who don't know that poem I just read

00:08:57.920 to you, I did. I know what she's trying to say here. Daniel Smith's a Nazi. She's like Adolf Hitler. 0.67

00:09:05.860 There is only one vote I want. It's called an election. Then we can rid our province of the

00:09:09.960 worst premier and the worst government in the history of Alberta, invoking Nazi Germany and

00:09:14.500 Adolf Hitler for partisan politics. What a low thing to do, Rachel Notley. There are people coming

00:09:20.660 on here. Rachel, thank you for being brave enough to speak out. Obviously, Anna Small doesn't get the 0.98

00:09:26.020 connotation or maybe she does. There are other people here are saying, listen, all we're getting here

00:09:30.700 as a vote. We get to say what we want in this province. Well done to McKinnon Godlian for this.

00:09:37.200 And then over to Thomas Lukasik. Recently, UCP government advertised that Alberta is open for

00:09:44.100 business, wanting to grow Alberta's population to 10 million by 2030. Now influx on new Canadians is

00:09:49.940 blamed for overcrowded hospital schools and the deficit. In reality, mismanagement is the culprit,

00:09:55.000 not immigrants. Immigrants are not Alberta's problem. They're here legally, which is important in this.

00:09:59.780 They're the ones serving you coffee at Timmy's. Immigrants are the engine of our economy.

00:10:04.380 There start most small businesses. But we're not talking about the people who are here legally.

00:10:11.320 We want fewer brought here. There's too many. There are people who are coming here claiming 1.00

00:10:15.100 refugee status and people who here stay too long. We want them to leave. But there is a pattern. 1.00

00:10:20.660 Populist governments need a scapegoat, a culprit, an outgroup. For Hitler, it was Jews. For Trump,

00:10:26.560 it's Latinos. In Rwanda, it was the Tutsis. It's an un-Canadian and deplorable political 1.00

00:10:31.980 strategy. This is disgraceful, Thomas Lukasik. You're a disgraceful human being. I am denouncing

00:10:40.000 you for what you say. And the same goes for Rachel Notley. How dare you?

00:10:49.000 Premier Danielle Smith was asked about this and she gave a hell of a good answer.

00:10:54.080 Today, Rachel Notley and Thomas Lukasik have thrown out accusations of Nazi tactics when

00:11:01.000 referring to this immigration approach. Could you comment on that as well, please?

00:11:05.960 That's gross. It's just disgusting. Any mention to if you're going to call somebody a Nazi, 0.97

00:11:13.720 you better be referring to the Holocaust and the devastation that that caused to the Jewish 0.99

00:11:18.100 people. That is disgusting language and it should never be used. If they want to have a serious

00:11:23.200 conversation about immigration levels, let's have it. That's what a referendum is all about.

00:11:28.840 And quite frankly, as I've mentioned, this is the same kind of policy that was affirmed last week

00:11:34.180 by the federal government when it came to saying that temporary foreign workers should have private

00:11:37.480 insurance when they arrive. It's the same policy that already exists in Ontario. And we are asking

00:11:42.120 Albertans if they want to have a system that puts Albertans, citizens as well as permanent

00:11:47.860 residents first when it comes to taxpayer-funded programs and then have reasonable premiums and the

00:11:55.180 ability of those who are temporary to access the programs with their own resources. But that kind of

00:12:01.140 language has no place in this debate.

00:12:03.220 An excellent response from Premier Danielle Smith. A great answer from a classy lady, a classy leader,

00:12:09.840 unlike the former Premier of the province, Rachel Notley, and the former Deputy Premier, Thomas Lukasik.

00:12:15.740 I hope I haven't gone on too long on this. I hope I haven't. But there's something that's been missed

00:12:22.000 here, in particular in Rick Bell's article, which is an excellent article, but he didn't go one step

00:12:27.660 further. He didn't make a connection that I'm going to make right now. If Danielle Smith is being

00:12:33.540 compared to Adolf Hitler and to the Nazi party for her belief that we have too many people coming to

00:12:41.880 Alberta and for her allowing Albertans to vote on immigration here, by extension, am I a Nazi? Because

00:12:51.160 I agree with Danielle Smith and millions of other Albertans feel the same way. And there are a lot of

00:12:58.740 nuts out there, folks. And being a Nazi or being like Adolf Hitler is probably the worst thing you 0.98

00:13:05.040 can be. Plenty of people commented on Thomas Lukasik's post agreeing with him, and he said the

00:13:10.200 word Hitler. And plenty of people agreed with former Premier Rachel Notley. She alluded to Hitler. I'm sure

00:13:17.540 some people got the connection. There's nothing worse than a Nazi, folks. How long before somebody acts on 0.87

00:13:22.540 this? I may be walking down the street because of my views and somebody comes after me. After all,

00:13:29.120 you're just attacking a Nazi. Now, it wouldn't be Lukasik's fault and it wouldn't be Notley's fault.

00:13:34.340 It would be that person's fault for acting on it. But this is the kind of area we're getting into here.

00:13:42.900 We need to tone things down. I think we all need to tone things down. But I think what they've done

00:13:48.600 here is vile. They need to be denounced. Feel free to find their posts on Facebook. Very simple to find.

00:13:55.220 It's right at the top of their Facebook posts right now. Drop in a little comment, but be respectful.

00:14:01.700 I think you need to apologize, Thomas. I think you need to apologize, Rachel. Shame on you for going this

00:14:09.080 low. Let me know what you think. If you like the video, give it a thumbs up. Subscribe to the channel.

00:14:14.380 Ring the bell for notifications. I'm sorry for making this video too long,

00:14:19.340 but he just had to go here. I'll see you in the next one.
