00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John, and welcome to the channel, 328 a.m. It is Wednesday, August the 19th.
00:00:08.580 I hope you're having a great day today. And can I get a hallelujah from the congregation?
00:00:14.940 Everybody, will wonders never cease? It looks like we have a tentative trade deal with the
00:00:22.400 United States of America. Applause all around, ladies and gentlemen. We've only been waiting
00:00:27.060 15 months. Now, this is good news. And let me just start off by saying, I hope Mark Carney got
00:00:35.400 Canada a good deal here. I really do. I don't want Canadians to suffer, but I'm a bit skeptical.
00:00:42.540 Now, the tariffs have been paused for three days, but I am skeptical. I think he caved on a few
00:00:48.500 things. I'm going to show you something in just a moment you may not have seen.
00:00:51.260 But going into this latest round of trade negotiations, there were three things that
00:00:58.340 came up a lot. That would be dairy, American booze on Canadian shelves, and automotive.
00:01:04.560 And I think he caved on those three things. I'll give you the proof in just a moment.
00:01:09.440 Now, hardest hit today might be dairy farmers in Quebec. Hardest hit today for sure will be
00:01:17.520 the El Bozos, who didn't want to trade deal with Donald Trump for any reason at all because orange
00:01:24.080 man bad. And they may be hit real hard. If they see a bottle of California wine on the shelves
00:01:31.840 in Ontario or any of the provinces across the country that have banned American booze,
00:01:36.920 these people could be sent to the insane asylum. They're not smart enough to realize that they can
00:01:41.660 still boycott booze if it's sitting on a shelf, but we'll just move on from there. Okay. But
00:01:48.480 there's something that we need to think about before we move on with this story.
00:01:53.320 And I think it's important to think about this. Think of all the jobs and people that have been
00:02:00.420 sacrificed on the altar of hating Donald Trump over the last 15 months. Think about those people.
00:02:06.540 Let's move to Donald Trump's post. I think this was on Truth Social.
00:02:11.760 I have paused the 50% tariffs against Canada that were scheduled to kick in tomorrow morning for a three-day period
00:02:18.240 based on the fact that Canada and the USA, subject to the finalization of documents, have a deal.
00:02:25.280 The great Keystone XL pipeline, long ago killed by sleepy Joe Biden, may be awoken from the grave.
00:02:32.560 Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald J. Trump. And then here's
00:02:38.120 Carney talking about this as well on the Canada-U.S. trade negotiations.
00:02:44.020 Well, this is good news, but I don't know that it is, okay? First off, if you go online right now,
00:02:51.280 there's not a lot of liberals talking about this on X or social media. You think somebody would
00:02:57.380 have leaked something? And I'll bet you dollars to donuts that as soon as this was announced by
00:03:04.260 Donald Trump, Carney was on the phone with all of his MPs telling them how to spin this. And if it's
00:03:11.820 not good, how to spin it into something positive for Canada. You're going to hear the same thing
00:03:16.660 from every liberal MP all day long. And it's all going to be rainbows, lollipops, and unicorns
00:03:24.540 today, folks. Now, let me tell you that this is the reason why I think this may be a bad deal for
00:03:30.720 Canada. And I'm skeptical about this. So this is the White House website. Let me bring it up on
00:03:35.620 screen here. Temporary suspension of additional duties to offset Canadian discrimination against
00:03:42.720 the commerce of the United States with respect to alcoholic beverages, dairy, and motor vehicles.
00:03:49.120 I'm not going to read a lot of this to you. I've highlighted the most important parts here.
00:03:53.220 So in number one here, it talks about 11046, discrimination against the commerce of the
00:04:00.340 United States with respect to alcoholic beverages. 11047, discrimination against the commerce of
00:04:07.880 the United States with respect to dairy. And 11048, discrimination against the commerce of
00:04:15.580 the United States with respect to motor vehicles. And if you look at number four here, it's got
00:04:21.040 those three numbers, 46, 47, and 48. According to senior executive branch officials, Canada has
00:04:29.700 expressed a commitment to remove the discriminations or unreasonable and unequal impositions at issue
00:04:36.940 in Proclamations 11046, 11047, and 11048. Carney probably caved on all three of these things.
00:04:47.900 I hope Canada got a good deal. I do not want Canada to suffer. But there's a reason why this
00:04:57.000 deal may have gone through. And one of the bargaining chips here was oil and gas. If you
00:05:03.120 go back over to Donald Trump here, he talks about Keystone XL. Maybe coming back. This is how it's
00:05:10.400 done, folks. You don't have to have memorandums of understanding between a province and the
00:05:17.260 Prime Minister, between Daniel Smith and Mark Carney, between Alberta and Canada to get things
00:05:22.500 done. You just get things done. You realize that Donald Trump is going to probably manage to get
00:05:27.800 a pipeline built before Canada? In Canada? Because Donald Trump can make this happen. Because Donald
00:05:33.500 Trump wants this to happen. Because Donald Trump doesn't get in the way. It's easier to work with
00:05:37.740 Donald Trump than it is to work with Ottawa. One of the reasons why I want Alberta independence.
00:05:43.380 Get Ottawa out of the way. We don't need them. We can get stuff done.
00:05:48.300 Here's Keith Wilson, let Alberta decide. Donald Trump with that post you just saw.
00:05:55.720 Right here, Alberta's energy produced Canada's bargaining power. Alberta's energy.
00:06:01.200 Meanwhile, Carney's online right now crowing about this. This is the latest net zero plan for him.
00:06:08.780 Canada announces largest clean energy investment in North American history.
00:06:12.100 he's rolling this out as like best thing since sliced bread. And you see how things get done?
00:06:20.160 Mark Carney just says this gets done, it gets done. Meanwhile, we have to have carbon capture,
00:06:24.720 industrial carbon taxes, and all these regulations on our oil and gas industry.
00:06:29.400 I'm very skeptical about this deal. And wait for the spin all day long on this, folks. You're
00:06:38.340 going to hear it from every Liberal MP. You know, I used to work in a newsroom. And when I lived in
00:06:44.560 Cornwall, Ontario, I worked in the newsroom. All right. I was in the newsroom. The discussion this
00:06:50.100 morning at 6 a.m. would be get on the phone with our Liberal MP or some Liberal MP, and you're going
00:06:55.700 to hear a positive spin on this all day long. But did we get a good deal? We haven't got the ink on
00:07:03.800 paper yet. I am skeptical. What do you think? If you like this video, give it a thumbs up,
