00:00:00.000Hi, it's John, and welcome to the channel, 5.58 a.m., Thursday, June the 11th. I hope
00:00:07.840you're having a great start to your Thursday with the big blue mug of coffee. I am getting
00:00:12.280going much later than usual. I got up much later than usual. I was up late last night
00:00:17.880preparing for dinner this evening with some people you probably know. I hope to have them
00:00:22.700on the channel tomorrow for a short video. An interesting group coming to my house for
00:00:27.560a barbecue. But a lot of people are talking about this story right here, saying that Canada is over,
00:00:34.340Canada is done because of what Donald Trump said yesterday. Short clip on that for you in just a
00:00:39.680moment from Mr. Trump himself. Trump says, U.S. won't renew trade deal with Canada and Mexico,
00:00:45.780signaling yearly reviews. We don't need anything that Canada has, but they need everything that
00:00:51.720we have, and they have to treat us better. No doubt this story will drive the elbows up people
00:00:58.320and the people that have been manipulated by Mark Carney and the Liberal government in Ottawa over
00:01:03.120the last year. They're going to go crazy over this. Donald Trump, of course, is Satan to them.
00:01:07.720The United States is no longer a friend. But this story is much worse than you can imagine. The way0.95
00:01:17.120that Carney and the liberals have manipulated and brainwashed the people who are driving up his
00:01:22.580poll numbers is quite extraordinary. And what he has done behind the scenes and what has been
00:01:28.640talked about behind the scenes could doom Canada in a very big way. And all of the trade deals that
00:01:35.420Mark Carney has said he has signed over the last year or so could be in jeopardy. So let's hear
00:01:41.440from Donald Trump and then I'll tell you how bad this story really is.
00:01:47.120coming fast how confident are you that you'll be able to renew the usmca and what more do you expect
00:01:53.360from canada at this point well i'm not looking to renew it i don't you know i mean i made the deal
00:01:58.640and the primary reason i made the deal is that nafta was the worst trade deal i've ever seen
00:02:03.200and i made it better but i had the right to terminate and nafta was the worst trade deal
00:02:07.760we haven't had. USMCA did one thing that I loved. After six years, it comes up for renewal.
00:02:17.180I don't know that I'm going to renew it because to be honest with you, the United States
00:02:22.680does much better. We don't need anything that Canada has. We don't need anything that Mexico
00:02:28.560has, but they need everything that we have. Things are not looking good for Canada in the
00:02:33.680upcoming trade deals, which are supposed to kick off in less than a month. But things are even
00:02:38.160worse than you might imagine. Let's take a look at a couple of stories here. This one from
00:02:41.520the Japan Times. Mark Carney's trade push collides with reality of U.S. dependence.
00:02:47.740Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has captured global attention by championing the idea of an
00:02:52.160alliance of mid-level economic powers that would operate beyond President Donald Trump's
00:02:57.020increasingly protectionist United States. He made that speech that was, you know, praised so much
00:03:02.840by the left at the World Economic Forum, yet Carney's push to lessen dependence on the U.S.
00:03:08.800is colliding with a stubborn reality. Access to American markets remains a crucial part of
00:03:14.700Canada's appeal to prospective trading partners, according to interviews with a dozen government
00:03:20.420officials and business leaders. Since winning election in April 2025, Carney's team has led
00:03:25.620four trade missions, including two to Asia, seeking foreign investment in mining,
00:03:30.220engineering, and infrastructure projects, a fifth. The largest so far is headed to Japan later this
00:03:35.740month. But Canadian officials acknowledge that the main draw for many potential trading partners
00:03:41.040is the prospect of gaining tariff-free access to the world's largest market through Canada's
00:03:47.480participation in the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement. We call it KUSMA. The United States
00:03:53.940calls it the USMCA. Carney regularly touts Canada's preferential access to the United States
00:04:00.140market, noting more that more than 85% of bilateral trade remains tariff-free. That USMCA deal has
00:04:08.240been kind of a baseline of our investment attraction message, said a top Canadian government
00:04:13.260official who requested anonymity, to speak frankly. But it's worse than this. Here's an article right
00:04:19.020here. This is from The Last Refuge. Asian trade officials remind Canada that all deals are
00:04:25.840contingent on access to the USA market. The final line I'm going to read to you from this story,
00:04:32.400and I'll put links to all of these in the description below, is the one that really
00:04:36.360tells the tale here. A little bit from this article. An interesting article in Japan Times,
00:04:41.080the one I just read to you, reinforces several insider trade discussions that have been taking
00:04:46.060place over the past 18 months. Essentially, all trade deals with Canada are contingent upon their
00:04:51.420access to the USA market, lose the USMCA trade deal, and any trade terms between Asian and
00:04:59.180Canadian counterparts are null and void. That's how dangerous this rhetoric against the United
00:05:05.620States over the last year and a half or so has been for Canada. This is not the first time this
00:05:11.340background from key trade nations has been shared with Canada. Japan told Canada last year that
00:05:17.360most sector trade, specifically the auto industry, was contingent upon tariff-free access to the US
00:05:24.320market. If Canada loses the USMCA, the terms of trade change completely. This reality is now
00:05:32.240surfacing in comments directly from the Canadian trade teams and business insiders within Canada.
00:05:38.680They are now admitting that without USMCA, their leverage for trade with other countries
00:05:44.100disappears. This is a considerable admission from within Canada government that has not yet
00:05:49.920become part of the average Canadian understanding. You see, the numbers for Kearney are up over 50%
00:05:56.120right now because people don't know what's really going on. They're being lied to, manipulated,
00:06:00.840and brainwashed regarding the elbows up kind of stuff, right? If Canada loses their trade agreement
00:06:06.580with the USA, all other countries will modify their trade agreements within Canada.
00:06:12.800Think about the leverage within that reality. Overlay the Canadian government's severe anti-Trump mindset and you quickly realize just how dangerous Mark Carney is for Canada. Links in the description. This is a catastrophe waiting to happen and this catastrophe could happen within the next 30 days.
00:06:35.900One other thing that has come to mind is that a lot of people think that Mark Carney is hoping that Donald Trump gets defeated in the midterm elections, which are coming up this year.
00:06:47.660If he gets defeated, he's weakened, which makes Canada in a stronger position when it comes to trade deals and dealing with the United States of America.
