Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel. It is 9.52 a.m. It is May the 27th. I've got my big blue mug of coffee.
00:00:06.640
Thank you for watching my video, which I recorded at about 10 to 1 this morning.
00:00:11.880
That was inspired by watching Mark Carney introduced as the Prime Minister in the House of Commons yesterday.
00:00:17.180
It also went into King Charles and the speech from the throne, which I labeled liberal propaganda.
00:00:24.120
I just finished watching that speech and I was right.
00:00:26.740
It started off okay, although it started with a land acknowledgement.
00:00:30.560
I do not live on anybody's land. I live on my land here in Alberta.
00:00:35.600
I do not cede my right to this land to indigenous groups, which were brought up a lot in this speech.
00:00:45.860
The old saying goes, the politician that robs Peter to pay Paul will always have a friend in Paul.
00:00:51.200
I'm being robbed and Paul is the indigenous groups.
00:00:54.060
I could probably sum this up in a couple of words and end this video right now,
00:00:58.340
but bigger government and more spending is what you're going to get from the liberal government.
00:01:02.180
Of course, the king brought up Mark Carney's phrase, spend less, invest more.
00:01:06.860
Spending less, okay, but investing more is spending more.
00:01:11.420
The government apparently is going to balance the operational budget within three years.
00:01:30.900
I want the government out of my life and out of my pocket,
00:01:37.280
Climate change was brought up a number of times.
00:01:42.680
I don't know whether he's on the level of Mark Carney and people in the Liberal Party,
00:01:47.720
I'd have to go back and look at the speech again.
00:01:54.600
I don't think pipelines were brought up and conventional energy.
00:01:58.640
I believe that the Liberal government will start lowering the boom
00:02:01.960
when it comes to climate change and our oil and gas industry very soon.
00:02:13.020
About 10 minutes in, it became all of his election promises.
00:02:21.320
I believe it talked about challenges, worldwide challenges.
00:02:25.060
I think that alluded directly to the United States and Donald Trump.
00:02:29.140
He did not say elbows up, but I could kind of hear it in the background as the King spoke.
00:02:37.840
I think this will pass quickly if it is brought up to a vote.
00:02:44.200
but I'm wondering who will object and what specific items will be on the list of people saying,
00:02:51.360
we're not trading equally across the provinces.
00:02:54.920
And I'm thinking of Quebec, and I'm thinking of oil.
00:02:58.680
Well, you can't have the ending of trade barriers across the country unless we're all working together,
00:03:04.120
which just makes it easier for me to be independence-minded here in Alberta.
00:03:13.100
The pomp and circumstance of the King coming here,
00:03:15.560
it kind of sickens me as people line up at food lines today,
00:03:19.760
and we find it harder and harder to buy groceries or to afford groceries.
00:03:25.660
And, of course, the problem with the United States still exists with Donald Trump.
00:03:32.740
And, again, that's exactly why Mark Carney got elected,
00:03:39.360
I think we're going to see a number of years of more liberal government,
00:03:43.220
just like the last 10 years of liberal government.
00:03:49.260
I'll probably go back and watch selected parts of this speech again,
00:03:52.540
and maybe talk about it tomorrow, but, you know, maybe I won't,
00:04:04.720
If you like the video, please give me a thumbs up.
