00:00:00.800 If Canada had to take up arms in the conflict between Israel and Moss, what side would we choose?
00:00:09.380 I'm serious. What side would we choose? Because I'm not sure that we'd choose the correct side.
00:00:17.100 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 539 AM. It is Monday, September the 22nd. Hope you're
00:00:22.820 having a great start to your Monday. I hope you had a good weekend as well. And before I start
00:00:27.040 this video, I just want to say that in the future, this video may be considered hate speech. If the
00:00:33.480 liberals get what they want, this video could be considered hate speech. By the way, I do have my
00:00:38.120 big blue mug of coffee. Thanks for being here. If you have subscribed to the channel, thanks so much.
00:00:42.980 If you haven't, just click on subscribe. So why would I say that? Well, there's three things that
00:00:47.880 have happened over the last week the liberals have now introduced that I find rather curious. And I
00:00:54.660 think there's a connection between all three of them. And what I'm thinking may be considered
00:00:59.360 hate speech. But I'm just spitballing here, folks. I'm just thinking outside the box, which I like to
00:01:04.280 do here. One of them has to do with the clip you saw right off the top, which I recorded way back
00:01:09.700 on August the 4th. What side would we choose? Is the question I asked. And I don't know.
00:01:15.760 I'm disgusted by Mark Carney. I'm disgusted by the Liberal Party of Canada. They do not speak for me.
00:01:23.360 They do not represent me. Why am I saying this? Because Carney, like the coward that he is,
00:01:29.420 snuck this one out on the weekend where he could avoid most of the media scrutiny of what he's doing
00:01:35.680 here. Thanks for joining us. Prime Minister Mark Carney has now formally announced a controversial
00:01:41.000 shift in Canada's policy toward the Middle East. Canada now recognizes the state of Palestine.
00:01:47.980 Carney is in New York ahead of tomorrow's United Nations General Assembly. There, joined by the UK,
00:01:54.060 Australia, Portugal, and several others, Canada will formally recognize a Palestinian state,
00:02:00.040 an attempt to boost efforts for peace, and a two-state solution.
00:02:04.600 When I saw this video, I immediately thought there was a timing issue here because I remember
00:02:10.320 talking about this and I went and checked. It was July 31st. I'm going to show you a short clip of
00:02:16.140 that video in just a moment because it was July 30th where Carney first floated this ridiculous idea
00:02:21.360 and now he's followed through with it. Now, there are three things I'm going to connect here in just a
00:02:25.940 moment. It could be considered hate speech. I'm going to get to them in just a moment, but there has
00:02:32.120 been some response to this. So, let's go over here to the Toronto Sun. Here's Warren Kinsella.
00:02:36.500 Carney shamefully rewards H. I have to dance around some words here, folks. At start of Jewish Holy
00:02:41.920 Days, there's this one from the Toronto Sun as well. Yesterday as well. Brian Lilly, Carney rewards
00:02:47.940 T-ism with recognition of Palestinian state. There's this one from the National Post. There's lots of
00:02:53.320 these. Mark Carney recognizing Palestine is declaring victory for H-T-ists. But let's go back to July 31st,
00:03:02.240 and here's the timing issue I talked about just a second ago. Now, there are some conditions here.
00:03:07.920 Hamas has to release all the hostages, must disarm, and not play a role in the future governments
00:03:13.100 of Palestine. But that's not going to happen, folks. Did that happen? No, none of these things
00:03:18.140 have happened. He said, Canada intends to recognize the state of Palestine at the 80th session of the
00:03:24.000 United Nations General Assembly in September of 2025. None of these things have happened. Here's another
00:03:28.820 headline. H-victims' families ask Canadians to oppose recognition of Palestinian state. I do.
00:03:35.540 Relatives of the eight Canadians killed by H in October 7th, 2023, attacks say none of Prime Minister
00:03:42.320 Mark Carney's conditions have been met, and recognition rewards T.
00:03:46.200 Another article. Yesterday, Carney recognizes Palestinian state ahead of UN trip. He said he
00:03:55.460 would not do it unless they abided by those conditions, and they have not. So, what's going
00:04:01.820 on here? Why is he doing this? Well, folks, there's a reason why he's doing this, because he's trying to
00:04:08.040 appease a specific population, and he wants them to vote Liberal. On the at-issue section of CBC the other
00:04:14.240 night, the panel there was talking about an election, and it might be sooner before later,
00:04:20.800 and there's a lot of people who vote, and you know the people I'm talking about here,
00:04:25.460 a lot of people who vote will vote Liberal because of this. There's about 1.7 million of them in this
00:04:31.980 country. 1.4 million of them live in Ontario and Quebec, between those two provinces, and that's a lot
00:04:38.180 of votes that can swing a lot of ridings. And then there's this. This is the other. So, another one
00:04:44.420 of the things that have come up this week. Why is Carney doing this? All of your problems have been
00:04:48.800 solved, folks. But we're going for Palestinian state. Carney's move to limit notwithstanding
00:04:56.380 clause is a threat to national unity. He asked the Supreme Court to unilaterally amend the Constitution
00:05:02.920 by banning repeated uses of the Charter override, which will only stoke separatist fines. Can he do
00:05:08.120 this? Well, no, really, he can't. The Liberals are going to try to do this, but they shouldn't be
00:05:12.340 allowed to do this because this is how you amend the Constitution. The most common procedure, the
00:05:16.920 general amending formula, the 750 rule, requires approval by the House of Commons, the Senate, and at
00:05:23.060 least two-thirds of the provinces, representing at least 50% of the national population. That's how you
00:05:29.500 amend the Constitution. The Liberals are trying to take the backdoor around this. Now, for those of you
00:05:34.620 who don't know what the notwithstanding clause is, the notwithstanding clause, or section 33 of the
00:05:39.180 Charter of Rights and Freedoms, gives provincial legislatures or Parliament the ability through the
00:05:44.000 passage of law to override certain portions of the Charter for a five-year term. It's not done very often.
00:05:50.220 One province in particular uses it a lot, which we'll get to in just a moment. What's the connection
00:05:54.700 between all these things? The clause in its current form came about as a tool to bring provinces on
00:06:00.660 side with then-Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau's signature piece of legislation. With charter
00:06:05.260 negotiations ramping up in the early 1980s, Trudeau didn't see the need for the clause, but provinces
00:06:10.820 such as Alberta and Saskatchewan, Smith and Moe, have already commented on this. They're against what's
00:06:17.340 going on right now with the Liberals. They wanted an out should they disagree with the decision of the
00:06:22.140 courts. In the end, Trudeau reluctantly agreed. Why is he doing this now?
00:06:29.260 Ottawa's request for limits on notwithstanding clause, a direct attack on Bill 21, Quebec says.
00:06:34.600 Now, what does Bill 21 say? Some of you may not know. Members of Francois Legault's Coalition
00:06:39.860 Avenue or Quebec government weren't mincing their words Thursday when reacting to Ottawa's intervention
00:06:44.540 in the Supreme Court of Canada's case on Quebec's secularism law known as Bill 21.
00:06:49.880 In his brief filed with the Supreme Court, Attorney General Sean Fraser didn't attack the provisions
00:06:55.700 of Bill 21, which prohibit public sector workers in positions of authority, including teachers and
00:07:01.780 judges, from wearing religious symbols on the job, but raise concerns over the use of the notwithstanding
00:07:09.140 clause. Now, who is this going after for the most part? These people.
00:07:13.920 Quebec's religious symbols law appealing to the Supreme Court for real rights under the
00:07:20.900 Charter. This is a story from January 30th. The Supreme Court of Canada has announced that
00:07:27.000 it will hear a challenge to Quebec's secularism law known as Bill 21. Those challenging Bill 21
00:07:32.580 have used a variety of legal tools to oppose a law they argue imposes discriminatory treatment
00:07:38.300 mainly on Muslim women. Muslim women who wear hijabs and other visibly religious minorities
00:07:44.600 have been living with the ongoing effects of the law for more than five years.
00:07:49.520 Remember what I said about voting?
00:07:52.620 And then there's this. This is the third thing. Liberal hate crimes bill raises free speech concerns.
00:07:58.880 And this is from the Canadian Constitution Foundation. And I think they're pushing this for the same
00:08:05.060 reason as those other two things, which I'm not going to bring up. But you can see why this might
00:08:09.120 be considered a hate crime. But why are all these things coming at this time, all at once,
00:08:14.260 when all of the problems of Canada have been solved, obviously, right? I like what they say down here at
00:08:19.680 the bottom. Quote, I'm also very wary that banning hate symbols could be a slippery slope. De Haas said,
00:08:25.300 in free countries, we ought to criminalize violence, not speech. So this sets a worrying precedent.
00:08:31.260 Now, who has Mark Carney's ear? This woman. Amira Elgawabi advocates for Canadian Muslims in meeting
00:08:40.480 with Prime Minister. Just a short little paragraph from this story. The Special Representative's
00:08:45.640 office is actively engaged in finding community-informed solutions, advising federal officials
00:08:50.300 on countering efforts that malign Muslim communities, and ensuring federal policies address community
00:08:55.820 concerns, including support for those seeking refuge in Canada, such as individuals from Gaza.
00:09:00.660 Why are all these things happening at the same time, folks?
00:09:08.400 That's what I see. And again, election may be coming very soon. Here's a quote from Christopher
00:09:15.300 Hitchens. Feel free to read it if you like. But I happen to agree with this 100%. Just my thought
00:09:21.860 on what's going on here right now. But I think these things are connected. I think the liberals are
00:09:26.680 pandering for votes, and they're looking for votes from a specific community. That's why they don't
00:09:33.100 speak out very much when it comes to the people that march on a weekly basis, waving those flags.
00:09:38.520 They've got not much to say about that at all. Thank you very much for watching. Tell me what you
00:09:43.120 think. Am I on to something here? Hopefully this video stays up. Who knows when the legislation about
00:09:51.080 hate speech will be passed by the Liberal government, which I expect it will. If you liked the video,
00:09:56.580 give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications. I'll see you in the next one.
