00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 404 a.m. Saturday, September the 20th. I hope you're having
00:00:08.600 a great start to your Saturday morning and your weekend. Looking like it's going to be a nice one
00:00:14.480 here in Calgary. I have my big blue mug of coffee today. Thank you so much for being here. And
00:00:18.880 there's a lot going on right now in Canada. And I'm not going to get too deep into the weeds on
00:00:23.960 a lot of these issues. I think a lot of them are rather confusing. I don't even know whether I
00:00:28.060 understand everything that's going on here. But I think that's the point that the government's
00:00:32.460 trying to make. I think that's what they're trying to do. Confuse you so you take your eyes off the
00:00:37.380 prize. And what is the prize? The prize is a better life for you and your family and prosperity for the
00:00:43.120 place that you live. And right now things are going down in flames for the liberal government. Now,
00:00:48.760 this is not all a doom and gloom video. I'm just going to point a few things out here. There is
00:00:53.760 good news here, folks. There is good news here. The more the liberals fail, the sooner they will be
00:01:00.100 gone. As I say very often, Canada's demise will result in Alberta's rise. You're going to get
00:01:06.840 some short-term pain, long-term gain. There's a silver lining in all this. Do I think the
00:01:11.180 conservatives can solve all the problems here? No. But I think they would be better than the liberals.
00:01:16.840 So recently, you might remember, Pierre Polly have stood in front of the cameras and suggested that
00:01:21.940 this government could be compared to Seinfeld. And he did it when he said this.
00:01:27.680 But this really has been, as I said yesterday, the Seinfeld summer for Mark Carney. A big show
00:01:33.120 about nothing. You know, I think specifically about George Costanza. You remember George Costanza?
00:01:39.100 He was a legend. George Costanza had this great episode where he had this fancy high-paying job with
00:01:44.120 a corner office. And he didn't do any work, like literally none. But he wanted to look busy. So he
00:01:49.780 would storm up and down the hallways carrying file folders. He would leave the lights on and his car
00:01:54.600 in front of the office building on the weekend, even though he wasn't there. He would yell into
00:01:58.480 the phone, even though no one was on the other end of the line. And they kept paying him because
00:02:02.500 he looked so busy. I think Polly Ev is on to something here. I think the Seinfeld reference
00:02:07.860 he talks about is good, but he should switch to another Seinfeld show. And that would be the show
00:02:13.700 about the opposite. Now, for those of you who don't watch Seinfeld or who haven't watched
00:02:18.580 Seinfeld, George Costanza, who Polly Ev referenced in that first clip I showed you, his instinct on
00:02:24.400 everything was wrong. So on one show, he did the opposite and he achieved success. Now, the difference
00:02:30.440 between Costanza on the Seinfeld show and the Liberal Party is the Liberals are doing the opposite and
00:02:35.520 they're failing as well. They're failing at what they're supposed to do and they're failing at the
00:02:40.160 opposite. Now, I think a lot of the opposite they're doing is to confuse you and to distract
00:02:44.560 you from what's really going on and from what is really important. So let's take a look at a couple
00:02:49.420 of things that they're doing that are opposite. Let's talk about crime. So what would you do to
00:02:53.440 keep crime off the streets? Well, you'd lock people up who commit crimes. Don't let them out on bail so
00:02:58.060 they can commit more crimes and lock them up for longer so they can't commit crimes. Instead,
00:03:02.340 the Liberals do the opposite. They go after law-abiding citizens who have done nothing wrong and try to
00:03:07.700 take their guns. Here's a little clip you're seeing playing in the background here. They went after
00:03:12.960 Pierre Polyev about this during the election campaign. What's the other thing they go after
00:03:18.080 when it comes to people like you who have committed no crimes? Now they're going to go after your speech.
00:03:24.900 Introduction of government bills. Mr. Frazier, seconded by Mr. Ali, moves for leave to introduce a bill
00:03:32.080 entitled, an act to amend the criminal code, hate propaganda, hate crime, and access to religious
00:03:37.640 or cultural places. This motion is deemed adopted. We don't need new laws, folks, on hate. Who decides
00:03:44.960 what is hate? And who are they protecting here? A voting bloc that keeps getting bigger and bigger
00:03:50.440 the more we bring people into this country for the Liberal Party? Are they trying to protect the
00:03:54.360 government from criticism? There's a saying, to learn who rules over you, simply find out who you're not
00:04:00.080 allowed to criticize. So let's move on to the next thing. Let's move on to tariffs. Now, of course,
00:04:06.320 this was the big issue during the election campaign. It was the thing that got Mark Carney elected.
00:04:12.360 And he's doing the opposite now of what he's supposed to be doing. We had a crisis in this
00:04:18.460 country, folks, when it came to tariffs with Donald Trump in the United States of America.
00:04:22.980 But right now, it's not even an issue for Mark Carney anymore.
00:04:25.840 So let's be absolutely clear. Canada currently has the best trade deal with the United States.
00:04:34.900 We've got the best deal with the United States, folks. So we get a double Seinfeld whammy here.
00:04:40.600 Instead of doing what he's supposed to be doing, something, he does the opposite, which is nothing.
00:04:48.080 But he is doing something. He's going to Mexico, which does a very small amount of business with
00:04:53.220 us compared to the United States. Here he is with his buddy, Dominic LeBlanc, flying away on your tax
00:04:58.100 dollars, spreading his carbon dioxide through the atmosphere, looking like he's doing something
00:05:02.880 when he's doing absolutely nothing. Now let's move on to the next thing. What should we be doing?
00:05:09.280 What should a government be doing that is spending far too much money? It should be cutting. But we're
00:05:14.160 not cutting. We're spending a lot more money. We're running up deficits. Carney is a liberal. He's a tax and
00:05:19.500 spent a liberal. He thinks he can just pay our way and spend our way out of the economic ruin that
00:05:25.620 we're in right now. He's even lost Andrew Coyne from the CBC. Look, the situation is deteriorating.
00:05:33.120 This time, the last budget, which was 18 months ago, the budget for this year was supposed to be
00:05:38.500 39. Budget deficit for this year was supposed to be $39 billion. By the last spring, a liberal platform,
00:05:44.200 it was $62 billion. The C.D. Howe Institute in July said it's $92 billion. But the economy shrunk since
00:05:50.080 then. It shrunk certainly three months in a row, maybe six months. So we could be looking at a number
00:05:54.940 over $100 billion, for all we know, by this point. So we've had that message, that letter from the
00:06:00.020 finance minister to his colleagues saying you've got to cut spending by 15% over three years. But then we
00:06:04.920 find out that doesn't apply to about two-thirds of federal spending. When the C.D. Howe Institute looked at
00:06:09.780 the numbers, they said that adds up to about a $22 billion cut over three years from a budget of
00:06:15.140 over $500 billion. With a deficit of $100 billion, with all the defense spending coming down the road
00:06:20.960 in years to come, I don't think we're close to coming to grips with the fiscal situation.
00:06:26.800 Prime Minister said the other day that they're still going to just achieve
00:06:29.440 cuts in the federal payroll from attrition. I suspect that they're punting a bit. I think
00:06:35.500 they're going to try to put off the really hard work until after the next election, if then.
00:06:40.680 Mark Carney and the liberals, they want to spend more money when they should be doing
00:06:44.600 the opposite. Now let's move on, folks. We're not done here yet. If you want to be prosperous down
00:06:50.100 the line, what do you need to do? Well, you want to make sure that you're the champion of things that
00:06:53.900 are going to make you prosperous in this country. But that's not what Mark Carney and the liberals are
00:06:58.340 doing. No, they're doing the absolute opposite. Mark Carney now gets to pick and choose what gets built in
00:07:04.120 this country, which is the opposite of what needs to be done. Let the free market determine that stuff.
00:07:10.020 Danielle Smith knows exactly what we need to do to make the country prosperous, and it's the opposite
00:07:15.880 of the government. It's the opposite of Mark Carney and the liberal party.
00:07:19.520 We don't have to remain economically weak. We don't need to rely on any foreign nation for our
00:07:25.560 economic well-being. Our success is a guarantee if, and here's the key, if our federal government and a
00:07:33.580 couple of provincial ones will simply agree to unblock and unleash the power of our oil, gas,
00:07:39.740 and natural resource sectors. So this is the last one I could go on all day. We now move on to the
00:07:45.420 facade that the liberal party truly is, literally and figuratively here. Big issue during the election
00:07:52.460 campaign was housing. And the liberals promised a lot of houses, folks. How many? Here's Leslyn Lewis in
00:07:58.980 the House of Commons. The Liberal government plans to build 500,000 new homes. To meet that plan,
00:08:05.720 the government would have to build 1,370 homes every single day. Did the government build 1,370 homes
00:08:15.260 today? The Honourable Minister. To the member, just with reference to roads and highways that have
00:08:22.580 received funding over the past decade, over 58,000 kilometers of roads and highways have received
00:08:28.880 funding from the department. In the 145 days since the election, 1,370 homes a day would be just shy
00:08:36.900 of 200,000 homes. Has the liberal government done that or made conditions easier for people to build
00:08:43.760 homes? No, they haven't. They've done the opposite. What they're creating is a giant bureaucracy,
00:08:47.600 government bureaucracy to build homes when they should allow the people who know how to build
00:08:52.120 homes to do it. It's their job. Instead, what they do is they create a facade. I think this is a
00:08:59.540 perfect metaphor for what the liberal government is. You may have seen this. Other people have covered
00:09:04.600 this. But I think it's the perfect metaphor. The liberal government is a facade just like the
00:09:10.340 photo ops they create. Now, here is Barbara Ball who ran against Mark Carney in Nepean. The people in
00:09:16.480 Nepean did the opposite of what they should have done. They should have voted for this woman.
00:09:20.360 And this is what happened just the other day when Carney was talking about his housing plan.
00:09:25.180 Hey Nepean, I am at the location of Prime Minister Carney's housing announcement a few days ago
00:09:30.920 and there is nothing here. So, all those buildings were brought in just for the photo op.
00:09:40.800 It's incredible. Well done to Barbara for putting that video up. And how much did that cost taxpayers for
00:09:46.260 that little photo op? The only thing that has to be changed here, folks, and something that needs
00:09:51.740 to be the opposite is people have to stop supporting this destructive liberal government.
00:09:57.740 And that's going to take some time. As I said at the beginning, there's sort of a silver lining in
00:10:01.780 this. The more they fail, the liberals, the sooner this will all be over for you and for my province
00:10:07.140 of Alberta. Canada's demise will result in Alberta's rise. I do believe that. Thanks for
00:10:12.860 watching. I could have kept going. Thanks for watching. If you liked the video, please give
00:10:17.100 it a thumbs up. Subscribe to the channel. Ring the bell for notifications. And I will see
00:10:21.220 you in the next one. Have a great weekend.
