00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 534 a.m. Friday, July the 18th with the big blue
00:00:10.560 mug of coffee. Of course, I hope you're having a great start to your Friday, getting set
00:00:15.080 for an awesome weekend as well. And I am doing that. Now, before we get to today's video,
00:00:20.280 just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Derek from the unacceptable fringe for being
00:00:25.260 part of this channel. I posted a fantastic interview with him earlier this morning where
00:00:30.640 we talked about Canadian politics, Alberta politics, Alberta separation, censorship,
00:00:35.400 touched on Mark Carney, Pierre Polyev, Daniel Smith, and so much more. I wanted to go on,
00:00:40.000 didn't have time, but check out the video. I'll put a card at the end of this video so you can
00:00:44.920 click on it and watch it in its entirety. And I hope to do more videos and interviews with people
00:00:50.880 who are doing independent media in Canada. Thanks again, Derek. Go to his channel and subscribe.
00:00:56.920 So, I've been thinking about doing this for a while. Dumb things in Canadian politics. And of course,
00:01:03.300 you can get pretty deep into this. And this video could go on for two hours because there's a lot
00:01:08.360 of dumb stuff happening. But I'm going to limit it to three with maybe an honorable mention on occasion.
00:01:14.640 Hopefully, I can do this on a weekly basis. So, immigration has been a big issue here in Canada.
00:01:19.660 We bring too many people into the country. The supply and demand thing becomes an issue.
00:01:26.560 Low supply of houses, high demand, it drives up prices. So, there's been talk of cutting immigration.
00:01:32.060 The Carney government is not going to do that. Pierre Polyev was the one who made this an issue
00:01:36.760 during the election campaign. He's actually changed his tune on immigration lately. And he's talking
00:01:44.060 about immigration almost like he's talking about negative immigration.
00:01:49.960 We need to ensure that more leave than come in over the next couple of years while we catch up,
00:01:57.060 while housing, health care, and jobs can catch up.
00:02:00.520 So, at a time when Polyev is calling for negative immigration and Canadians are saying we need to let
00:02:06.220 fewer people into the country on a yearly basis, illegal and legal, what's the Carney government
00:02:13.200 doing? They're going to let more people in. Thousands of Canadians to start receiving invitations
00:02:18.660 to apply to sponsor parents and grandparents from CTV News just published yesterday.
00:02:25.360 Thousands of Canadians will soon receive invitations to apply to sponsor their parents and grandparents
00:02:30.240 as permanent residents. The 2025 intake will open for a few weeks starting July 28th for 17,860
00:02:39.520 potential sponsors who submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020, according to Immigration,
00:02:46.020 Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. In a notice published online Wednesday, IRCC said its goal is to accept
00:02:53.140 it to 10,000 complete applications under the Federal Parents and Grandparents Program. So, I'm assuming
00:03:00.000 if they have 10,000 complete applications, it doesn't just mean 10,000 people are coming here. They
00:03:05.660 could be applying for more people in their own family to come here. It could be 20,000 or 30,000 or
00:03:12.060 40,000 more people coming to the country at a time when we're calling for less immigration.
00:03:18.320 That's number three. Let's move along to dumb thing number two.
00:03:22.120 Number two on the list of dumb things here in Canada has to deal with safe injection sites.
00:03:33.300 Here in Alberta, the government has decided that they want to help people get off drugs,
00:03:39.120 not continue to give people drugs to eventually have them die of a drug overdose in the future. That's
00:03:46.320 what safe injection sites eventually lead to. Now, I'm a compassionate person. I'm all for helping
00:03:53.780 people who have a real problem. I've had a close family member of mine die of a drug overdose. But
00:04:01.220 with these safe injection sites, people don't want them in their neighborhood. It causes problems. It
00:04:06.820 causes dysfunction. It causes crime. It causes them to find needles in the street. They don't want them in
00:04:13.680 their neighborhood. But when it comes to government, the government needs to be protected from safe
00:04:19.020 injection sites, which takes us to Nanaimo, B.C. You see, the people out in the communities who
00:04:25.800 complain about these sites get nothing. But the council's got to be protected from the very policies
00:04:32.640 that they put into place. Plan to fence off Nanaimo, B.C. City Hall to protect from overdose site
00:04:39.140 disorder. Violence and disorder associated with an overdose prevention site next to City Hall.
00:04:45.560 Let's read a little bit of this story, shall we? The city of Nanaimo, B.C. is considering building a
00:04:51.840 1.8-meter-high fence to protect its staff from congregations of people, violence, and disorder
00:04:58.060 associated with an overdose prevention site next to City Hall. Staff proposing the $412,000 fence site
00:05:08.580 intimidation and harassment of employees, particularly those working early or late, as well as damage to
00:05:15.800 staff vehicles, fires near doorways and building perimeters, human waste, and a general deterioration
00:05:21.960 of the site. Now, let's read what the mayor has to say about this.
00:05:27.220 Mayor Leonard Krog said in an interview Monday that the municipality had a legal obligation to protect
00:05:33.700 its staff and property, and the final cost may be less or more than the recommended budget.
00:05:39.600 We can't fence off everybody's private property, he said. We can't control every street, but we do have
00:05:45.620 a duty to our employees which is legal and present and very clear. This report represents the views of
00:05:51.880 our staff, their feelings, and more importantly, and sadly, their fears and experience that they have had in
00:05:57.640 the last few years as we've seen the situation in our streets become the challenge that it is.
00:06:03.900 Mayor Krog, it is your duty to help the people that you represent. You have a duty to your constituents,
00:06:11.940 to your voters, not just to the staff that feel intimidated by these people in the street.
00:06:18.060 That's your job. I don't think government has many jobs. As Ronald Reagan said, the government that is
00:06:27.360 best governs least, but one of the few things government should be doing is security, making
00:06:33.200 people safe. And Mr. Krog, you've got it all wrong. Let's move on to number three.
00:06:39.600 So number three on the list this week is Mind Numbingly Dumb, and I want to give credit where
00:06:48.740 it is due to Corey Morgan from The Corey Morgan Show and The Western Standard. Now, the video you're
00:06:54.640 going to watch in just a moment, admittedly, is probably from the wintertime, but Corey tweeted this
00:07:00.860 out this week because this is a story that is very pertinent right now. Here is Corey's tweet.
00:07:06.980 Every Canadian should watch this. A farmer is forced to dump thousands of liters of good
00:07:13.280 milk down the drain because supply management makes it illegal for him to sell it. This
00:07:18.940 is a sick system while families struggle with food prices.
00:07:22.820 Hey guys, we're here at Gibbonbo's Farm in Southern Ontario. We milk about 260 pounds. Right
00:07:32.120 now, during the winter months, we milk quite a bit more milk because the feed is very consistent.
00:07:36.980 And if you do a good job, you will produce quite a bit of milk. So, but right now, we're
00:07:42.980 over our Fultum. It's regulated by the government and by the DFO. But the problem is, is what
00:07:49.980 they don't understand is millions of people, look at this milk running away, because it's
00:07:53.980 the end of the month. So I have to dump, I dump 30,000 liters of milk and it breaks my heart.
00:07:59.980 And it breaks my heart. I will show you, by the way, this here Canadian milk is $7 a liter.
00:08:06.980 When I go for my haircut, people say, wow, $7, Jerry, for a little bit of milk. I say, well,
00:08:13.980 you have to go higher up because we have no say anymore as a dairy farmer on our own farm
00:08:19.980 farm or on our own farm because they, they make us dump it. And no matter how we stand
00:08:31.980 up, so this time I'm going public. I want the people to see the pain that us growers have.
00:08:36.980 Oh, 365 days as a little boy, we grew up on a dairy farm, came from Europe. Work, work, work.
00:08:44.980 And here we are. This is what's happening.
00:08:46.980 Doesn't that just turn your stomach? You know, I watched that video and I'm incensed.
00:08:51.980 I've held liters of cream here on my channel saying I pay more than $4 a liter for this in
00:08:57.980 some places. And it's creeping up at Costco where it's $3.20 a liter now. Yeah, American friends,
00:09:04.980 we pay more than $4 for a liter goddamn cream in this country because of stuff like this.
00:09:11.980 The policy couched in the language of defending Quebec farmers artificially inflates food prices
00:09:18.980 and hinders consumer choice and limits market access for Canadian producers from an article
00:09:24.980 in the Western Standard. They cover this quite extensively. Supply management. Go over and subscribe.
00:09:30.980 I do. Meanwhile, this is a major bone of contention when it comes to Donald Trump. He talks about this all the time.
00:09:37.980 So what does the Canadian government do just before we're supposed to go into trade negotiations?
00:09:43.980 This big issue. The crisis of our lifetime. Parliament on June 17th passed Bill C-202,
00:09:50.980 a Bloc Quebecois bill that bars the government from making any international trade deals
00:09:56.980 that alters Canada's quotas for dairy, eggs, or poultry.
00:10:00.980 Meanwhile, it passed. Everybody voted in favor of this because they pander to the vote in Quebec.
00:10:06.980 Screw Alberta. Screw the rest of Canada. Drives up prices.
00:10:10.980 Polyev confirms he will never cancel controversial dairy supply management.
00:10:16.980 So even if you get a conservative government, this will not change.
00:10:20.980 That's number one on our list this week.
00:10:23.980 Thanks so much for watching this. I do appreciate it.
00:10:26.980 I'll have Volume 2 for you next Friday.
00:10:28.980 If you like the video, please give me a thumbs up.
00:10:30.980 Subscribe to the channel. Ring the bell for notifications as well.
00:10:34.980 And I'll see you in the next one. Have a great weekend.
