00:00:00.000 i thought i'd get out of the studio this morning and this is the front of my house
00:00:04.400 i don't have any grass my front yard is there's a lilac bush smells fantastic my backyard
00:00:11.360 all plants and of course i've got one of cory morgan's choose alberta signs right out front
00:00:19.760 hi it's john and welcome to the channel friday june the 19th it is 5 50 a.m i hope you're having
00:00:26.400 a great start to your Friday. And as you can see, I'm not in my studio this morning. I'm
00:00:32.180 talking in quiet tones this morning because there are houses around me and people are likely still
00:00:37.740 sleeping. So I'm not going to be too boisterous here in this little park I'm in, a couple of
00:00:41.680 blocks away from where I live. As a matter of fact, I was hoping to be in a place called Elgin
00:00:46.320 Hill, which is a few blocks that way this morning. I was going to go up on top of the hill,
00:00:50.800 beautiful place to start a morning, a lovely morning, by the way. But when I got there,
00:00:54.740 there were four coyotes kind of circling on the hill. Don't normally see them right here in my
00:00:59.400 community in Mackenzie town. They're around the area, but they were over there today. So I thought
00:01:03.840 I'd back out and come over here. So I'm going to be quiet and not to talk too loudly here.
00:01:09.020 You know, I got up this morning, I looked at my screen and I thought, do I, well, I've said before,
00:01:13.980 I don't want to be the angry old man, but kind of the nature of the business, right? Get up in the
00:01:19.980 morning. What's pissing you off? John, talk about it in videos. If I was talking about
00:01:24.760 puppies and kittens every day, nobody would ever tune in, right? So I don't want to really want to
00:01:31.060 go there today. I looked at the screen this morning and went, there's really nothing that's
00:01:34.920 interesting me. So I'm going to talk about a few things. Maybe I've gone over before,
00:01:38.580 but maybe expand on them a little bit. But later this morning, I'm pretty excited. I'm going to
00:01:43.620 be in downtown Calgary today. I'll be there with Keith Wilson and Tanya Clemens. Now, Keith and
00:01:50.540 Tanya are co-leading a new third-party advertiser called Let Alberta Decide. And there's a news
00:01:56.840 conference there today. They're launching a campaign called Alberta's Done Waiting, which I
00:02:02.420 think is fantastic. And Keith was nice enough to ask me to introduce them, sort of emcee this event.
00:02:08.120 It's going to be a short news conference and the media has been asked to show up. So this is going
00:02:13.180 to be an exciting third-party advertiser for the independence campaign among many out there that
00:02:18.140 are doing good things right now. I think of Corey Morgan with his signs, Angela Tabak and Kathy
00:02:24.140 Flett, they've got signs they're doing events around the province, Jason Levine. Mitch Sylvester's
00:02:30.240 wife is back in with Stay Free Alberta as well. I know that Sheila Gunn-Reed from Rebel News
00:02:34.880 has a third-party advertiser as well, and there are others that are getting in. By the way,
00:02:40.060 Those third-party advertisers that I just talked about are going to be part of a big event that I'm working on right now.
00:02:47.000 I can't tell you what it is, but within the next few days, at least within the next week, you're going to hear about it.
00:02:52.440 And you need to help out with this event, okay?
00:02:55.900 You need to help out.
00:02:57.060 It's going to be huge.
00:02:58.340 A lot of work coming up, probably happening mid-July, okay?
00:03:02.760 So that's coming up.
00:03:03.580 Now, something else that's happened over the last 24 hours that I talked about yesterday, and I'm getting into some of the angry old man stuff here now, but I was thinking about these treaty chiefs, six, seven, and eight treaty chiefs, who set out a media release yesterday talking about Danielle Smith being a traitor and accusing her of treason.
00:03:24.720 Now, I don't think a lot of the treaty chiefs, and this is not a slam against indigenous people at all, but I don't think the treaty chiefs are very intelligent.
00:03:34.900 I think they've done their cause a lot of harm by saying this.
00:03:38.760 If you were to look up treason in the dictionary, it means a violent takeover of a country, basically.
00:03:45.740 Is that what Daniel Smith is doing by allowing people to have a vote in a referendum later this year?
00:03:51.180 And the vote we're having isn't even about Alberta leaving.
00:03:54.360 It's about allowing Alberta to have a vote to leave.
00:03:59.980 So these treaty chiefs, I just don't understand them.
00:04:02.640 And I understand why such a large percentage of Indigenous people don't support the chiefs.
00:04:07.440 As I said in the video yesterday, 46% in a recent poll said they would vote for Alberta independence.
00:04:12.280 And I think that number is even higher.
00:04:13.880 I really do.
00:04:15.340 The other thing about the chiefs, you remember recently they went over to England
00:04:19.020 And they stood beside King Charles with their headdresses on and everything, asking for his support when it comes to Alberta staying in Canada and to defend their treaty rights.
00:04:30.500 This man they call a colonizer. Hell, they call you a colonizer. They call you a settler. They say you live on stolen land.
00:04:37.440 But here they are sticking up for Canada, which they seem to despise so much.
00:04:42.620 But I guess they have to stick up for Canada because us, meaning the taxpayers of Canada, are their benefactors.
00:04:50.420 If it weren't for us, they wouldn't have 30 to 35 billion dollars in the bank to spend of our money.
00:04:57.000 But I just don't get these chiefs. I don't think they're very smart.
00:05:00.500 Now, something else that's gaining traction in this province right now is about Thomas Lukasik and his Forever Canadian setup that he's running around the province talking about.
00:05:13.520 And he's been talking about for the last year. Remember, they had a petition campaign as well.
00:05:17.760 Well, Lukasik hasn't signed up as a third party advertiser like the ones I just talked about.
00:05:22.660 The people on our side are following the rules and regulations of Elections Alberta.
00:05:26.180 And the rules and regulations are quite onerous, but we realize what the rules are and we're sticking within those rules.
00:05:32.240 It doesn't look like Thomas Lukasik is doing that.
00:05:34.560 I'm hearing more and more people saying they're reporting Lukasik to Elections Alberta for violations of the rules when it comes to this referendum campaign we're in right now.
00:05:44.680 As I said yesterday, he's saying on his website you can donate any amount of money you want to his organization.
00:05:51.720 And that's not the rules we're playing by.
00:05:53.720 I've spoken to a lot of people, some of the leaders in the independence movement over the last couple of days and said, if they're able to raise all the money they want, can we do that too?
00:06:02.280 We'd like these rules figured out.
00:06:03.980 So I think Fringe was on last night talking about this.
00:06:07.100 Report Lukasik to Elections Alberta.
00:06:08.820 Be respectful of Mr. McClure and the people working there.
00:06:12.860 But we've got to make sure that they're playing by the same rules we are.
00:06:16.520 And if Mr. Lukasik is not following the rules, there need to be some consequences for him in a very, very big way.
00:06:24.040 Now, one other thing I want to end on here is something that's pretty positive.
00:06:27.780 You know, I had Mr. and Mrs. Albertan on the channel earlier this week.
00:06:31.700 I heard Corey talk about in the interview I did with them saying how positive it was.
00:06:35.580 There was all this backlash about the rodeo parade that was canceled.
00:06:39.300 And, you know, it's all water under the bridge what happened there, OK?
00:06:42.320 Don't go there with any ill feelings if you're going into sundry.
00:06:45.900 go to the rodeo, support the people of Sundry. They're good people. It's a nice little town and
00:06:50.760 I'm going to be there tomorrow. I hope you can be there as well. In fact, my wife said she's going
00:06:55.600 to go to Sundry tomorrow. We're going to have a cruise through Sundry. They've allowed us to do
00:06:59.280 this. I plan on going there, having a good time, saying hi to the people there. In fact, I'm going
00:07:04.700 to stop in Sundry tomorrow, sit down and have breakfast or lunch there and be really nice to
00:07:11.300 the people of sundry so if you can be in sundry tomorrow morning we're leaving calgary around
00:07:16.280 eight o'clock i'll put a graphic up on the screen people are leaving from edmonton red deer be in
00:07:20.800 sundry tomorrow around 10 o'clock if you can't be at one of the meetup places and let's go show
00:07:25.840 sundry some love and as i said to mr and mrs alberton let's leave the place better than we
00:07:30.880 than it was when we got there so maybe we'll pick up some garbage bags and clean up any of the trash
00:07:35.700 that's laying around the street not that there's a lot of trash in sundry we'll pick up the papers
00:07:39.480 and stuff like that that might be blowing down the street sundry and show them a good time tomorrow
00:07:43.480 and support them when it comes to their rodeo. After all, they are our fellow Albertans. So that's
00:07:49.560 just a few things today here from my perch in this beautiful little park here in Southeast
00:07:55.700 Calgary. Thanks for watching. If you like this video, give it a thumbs up. Subscribe to the
