00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 513 AM, Friday, July the 11th.
00:00:10.480 I hope you're having a great start to your day.
00:00:12.760 I've got my big blue mug of coffee today and I've been up since about 3.30 this morning
00:00:18.300 preparing today's video, which I think is an important one and it might be a bit of
00:00:21.920 a rant and I will do my best to refrain from using profanity, but this makes me mad.
00:00:30.420 This is a reaction to the way people are reacting, reacting to Mark Carney and proposed
00:00:36.580 cuts to the budget.
00:00:39.500 I've seen people who are journalists who I respect, journalists who I think are smart,
00:00:47.720 but journalists who are gullible.
00:00:50.980 One of them I think is Brian Lilly.
00:00:52.580 Brian Lilly writes this article, here's the headline right here, suggesting that Mark Carney
00:00:57.200 is acting like a conservative.
00:00:58.620 Are you kidding me, Brian?
00:01:00.000 Give me a break.
00:01:00.960 You know, people online saying that conservatives should be happy because Mark Carney is going
00:01:05.400 to cut back some jobs from government.
00:01:07.180 It's what Pure Polly have wanted to do and he's going to cut the budget.
00:01:10.080 He's cutting.
00:01:10.880 You should be happy.
00:01:12.060 Mark Carney, elbows up.
00:01:13.520 Canada strong.
00:01:14.240 This is garbage, folks.
00:01:17.040 Were you paying attention, Brian?
00:01:18.720 Were the people who are considering that Mark Carney is a conservative paying attention at all?
00:01:23.380 You know, during the election campaign, I mentioned many times, Carney's got two budgets.
00:01:26.840 He's got the operational budget.
00:01:28.620 He's got the capital budget.
00:01:30.200 He talks about less spending, more investing, less spending when it comes to operational,
00:01:34.580 more spending when it comes to capital.
00:01:36.620 And that's what he's doing here.
00:01:38.000 It's kind of like an economic, I guess, bait and switch.
00:01:40.560 Here is Michael Cooper, conservative MP, explaining it to those of you who don't understand what
00:01:49.460 is actually going on here.
00:01:51.060 Mark Carney is not being honest with Canadians about his massive deficit spending plans.
00:01:57.560 Using carefully crafted language, Carney is trying to create the illusion that he has
00:02:02.320 a plan to balance the budget.
00:02:04.140 Take the recent speech from the throne where Carney's government committed to balancing
00:02:09.080 the operating budget within three years.
00:02:11.340 The government will balance its operating budget over the next three years by cutting waste,
00:02:18.460 capping the public service.
00:02:20.120 Carney plans to hide this massive new deficit spending by making the federal budget more
00:02:26.360 complicated and less transparent.
00:02:29.260 He plans to create two budgets, an operating budget and a capital budget.
00:02:34.240 The operating budget would cover day-to-day government spending, while the capital budget would cover
00:02:39.680 so-called investment.
00:02:41.180 In other words, Carney's definition of capital spending includes government handouts, corporate
00:02:46.940 welfare, no doubt to benefit liberal insiders.
00:02:50.300 This elastic definition of capital spending allows Carney to balance the operating budget,
00:02:56.620 not by balancing anything, but by shifting spending to the capital budget.
00:03:01.860 So we see how this works now.
00:03:04.300 He's going to cut about apparently $25 billion from the operational side, but he's got the
00:03:10.300 capital budget where he's adding something like $92 billion in deficit spending this year,
00:03:15.100 77 next year, and the next year, and the next year.
00:03:18.100 $486 billion apparently is the number, it's a wild number, in deficit spending.
00:03:25.000 Is this really cutting anything at all?
00:03:27.200 Any little amount is good, but we're spending ourselves into oblivion here.
00:03:32.620 Then he talks about cutting public employees.
00:03:34.700 Now, cutting back on some public employees is good, but we gained 40% more employees since Trudeau got in
00:03:41.080 in 2015, more than 100,000 new public servants in this country.
00:03:45.920 What the hell do all these people do?
00:03:48.780 And I wonder how the public servants who are losing their jobs are going to feel when they find out
00:03:53.320 that Carney is shipping millions in taxpayers' dollars to Moldova to, quote,
00:03:59.020 enhance climate resilience and promote gender equality, unquote.
00:04:07.180 And is that what Carney promised the public sector?
00:04:09.940 He hammered Polyev about his plan, which would eliminate jobs through attrition.
00:04:16.580 That's not what Carney plans on doing.
00:04:19.420 Did, I mean, when it comes to cutting government, maybe the other guy had a more sensible plan.
00:04:25.100 The sooner the better, it's a liberal deficit.
00:04:27.400 So we have to get rid of liberal waste.
00:04:30.200 Under Trudeau Carney, liberals, they have, for example, added 100,000 public servants.
00:04:36.480 I'll be reducing the number of bureaucrats.
00:04:38.220 They've doubled the budget for corporate welfare.
00:04:41.780 I will be cutting that.
00:04:43.060 They doubled the budget for consultants.
00:04:44.680 I'll be cutting that.
00:04:45.320 I'll be cutting back on foreign aid to bring our money back home to Canada.
00:04:49.060 And I'll impose a dollar-for-dollar law that requires my ministers find a dollar of savings
00:04:54.420 for every new dollar of spending.
00:04:57.740 Meanwhile, you got the guy who beat Polyev in his writing of Carlton.
00:05:01.800 The guy's name is Bruce Fanjoy.
00:05:03.720 Is he ever looking like a tool now?
00:05:06.560 We need all hands on deck to defend our country from Trump's trade war.
00:05:12.340 And that includes Canada's public servants.
00:05:14.860 Canada has some of the best in the world.
00:05:17.720 Many of you live in Carlton.
00:05:20.000 You're well-educated.
00:05:21.400 You work hard.
00:05:22.780 And now more than ever, your country needs you.
00:05:25.240 But Pierre, much like Donald Trump, shows utter disdain for public servants.
00:05:30.300 He's promising Trump-style cuts to the public sector, which would lead to 100,000 jobs lost.
00:05:38.180 These cuts will put Carlton residents, his own constituents, out of work at a time when we need them most.
00:05:45.540 We can win this election and stop Polyev from gutting the public service.
00:05:50.840 Go vote on Monday for Mark Carney's Liberals.
00:05:54.340 Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols is famous for saying,
00:05:58.000 Do you ever get the feeling you've been cheated?
00:06:00.420 Well, Carlton, how are you feeling?
00:06:02.140 Feel like you've been cheated?
00:06:04.260 When are Liberal voters going to realize they've been had?
00:06:06.960 I wonder if Fanjoy knew this was coming when he said that.
00:06:10.280 And the question you have to ask is, will the Liberals actually cut anything?
00:06:13.320 They've been known to lie before.
00:06:15.220 I have a saying, you can't spell Liberal without L-I-N-E.
00:06:19.140 And now, why are we in this situation?
00:06:24.940 You know, people had the foresight years ago to realize we had riches below our feet,
00:06:30.160 that we could have got out of the ground, you know, natural resources.
00:06:32.420 But your government did everything.
00:06:34.120 Your Liberals did everything to keep it in the ground.
00:06:36.660 Not only that, but they empowered people to get in the way of resource development.
00:06:41.880 And they're probably going to do it again.
00:06:44.000 Remember Idle No More?
00:06:45.220 And I might add that here in my province, where I live, my home of Alberta,
00:06:52.680 the Liberals have cost Alberta tens, if not hundreds, of billions of dollars in investment.
00:06:59.440 And in those riches, we could have got out of the ground.
00:07:03.520 Here's Danielle Smith.
00:07:04.320 You look at pipelines in particular, we had $176 billion worth of proposed projects that got cancelled
00:07:13.140 because of the uncertainty created by various government laws.
00:07:16.620 The ban on export of bitumen from the West Coast, the No More Pipelines bill,
00:07:22.200 the threats of net zero electricity grid, emissions cap on oil, emissions cap on methane,
00:07:29.720 net zero vehicles.
00:07:30.760 The list goes on and on and on.
00:07:32.160 And all of that dampens investment.
00:07:34.820 And we've seen the results of it.
00:07:36.020 Imagine the wealth for Alberta if we could have kept those investment dollars,
00:07:40.220 if we could have gotten our resources out of the ground.
00:07:43.640 Imagine the wealth for Alberta if it was independent.
00:07:47.500 Meanwhile, Parliament is on vacation.
00:07:50.660 Trump continues to take a wrecking ball to Canada with tariffs.
00:07:53.580 More coming in.
00:07:56.160 Copper tariffs coming in.
00:07:57.920 There's a method to his madness, folks.
00:08:00.140 Enriching the United States.
00:08:01.220 He wants to do what he thinks is best for the United States, whether you like it or not.
00:08:06.200 And he may do this at Canada's expense.
00:08:08.520 He sees a tasty little snack and he's going to feast on it.
00:08:13.060 You know, Canada may not be the 51st state, but you liberal voters may wish it is pretty soon
00:08:18.740 if things don't get straightened out here real quick.
00:08:22.280 Now, the reason why you probably clicked on this is because of the thumbnail.
00:08:25.940 Is Donald Trump really the problem here?
00:08:27.920 Donald Trump is the symptom.
00:08:33.140 The disease is the Liberal Party.
00:08:35.000 I hate to put it that way.
00:08:36.320 I did a video on that years ago.
00:08:37.660 Donald Trump is the symptom.
00:08:40.420 The disease is the Liberal Party.
00:08:41.660 But is the Liberal Party really the problem here?
00:08:44.300 I see the Liberals as a big problem.
00:08:46.180 The big problem is the people that continue to vote for them.
00:08:48.620 And shame on you for doing it.
00:08:52.500 I'll leave it to the Great Communicator.
00:08:58.020 I'll wrap this up in a moment.
00:08:59.260 A few words from the Great Communicator, Ronald Reagan.
00:09:02.960 Government is not the solution to our problem.
00:09:06.640 Government is the problem.
00:09:08.200 I often say it's easy to be a Liberal.
00:09:11.500 All you do is spend other people's money.
00:09:13.460 And then you leave it to the Conservatives to come in and clean up the mess.
00:09:17.860 And then they look like the bad guy.
00:09:19.400 And they get voted out.
00:09:20.620 And people vote Liberal again.
00:09:22.080 And we're back again to start all over.
00:09:24.080 But the Liberals aren't doing anything here.
00:09:27.600 Carney's not cutting the budget.
00:09:29.780 It may look like that to people.
00:09:31.700 But it's not.
00:09:33.520 See that?
00:09:34.740 That's the wool being pulled over your eyes.
00:09:37.120 Thank you very much for watching.
00:09:38.340 I do appreciate it.
00:09:39.360 If you liked the video, please give it a thumbs up.
00:09:42.060 Subscribe to the channel.
00:09:43.260 Ring the bell for notifications.
00:09:45.120 Have a great Friday.
00:09:46.340 And I'll see you in the next one.
