John Bolton - What is Mark Carney's main accomplishment？... I'm waiting... and waiting.

00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John, and welcome to the channel, 5.35 a.m., Monday, September the 1st. I've

00:00:10.420 got my big blue mug of coffee. I hope you're having a great holiday Monday. Hope you've

00:00:15.200 got the day off today. I appreciate you being here. If you haven't subscribed to the channel,

00:00:19.700 please click on subscribe. Thank you so much. So I'm feeling a little lazy today, in a way.

00:00:25.960 As you can see, I'm back in my basement. Just quickly, quick health update. I'm downstairs.

00:00:33.040 I'm walking with a cane now. I feel I'm way ahead of the curve when it comes to my

00:00:37.760 recuperation from a broken pelvis and broken collarbone. I'm very proud of myself. I'm

00:00:43.360 hoping I'm at the gym in October. I'm hoping I can do that, but I'm feeling good. I'm feeling

00:00:47.500 really good. Enough about me. Today, I'm feeling lazy because I woke up this morning not sure what

00:00:54.020 I wanted to talk about today. So I relied on something that I don't rely on very often,

00:00:58.260 which I'll get to in just a moment. But yesterday, I was thinking,

00:01:01.240 Canada's demise will result in Alberta's rise because I think the more that Canada fails,

00:01:08.640 the better it will be for the independence movement here in Alberta, and more people will

00:01:12.600 want to jump off the sinking ship of Canada. Now, that's as far as I want to go when it comes

00:01:16.920 to the independence movement here. But that's the way I was feeling yesterday because I can see

00:01:20.620 bad things on the horizon. You probably can as well. So I'll explain why I'm being lazy today,

00:01:28.260 but I found it fascinating what I came up with today. So let's go over to my screen here,

00:01:34.900 and I've got the technology back once again after several weeks of not having this. But

00:01:39.560 this is the kind of stuff I'm seeing here. Michael Tobe, the polls are in, Carney's honeymoon is coming to

00:01:45.420 end. Conservatives led the Liberals in abacus data's latest release, a sign that Canadians are 0.99

00:01:50.720 coming to realize Carney isn't their savior. All right. And there are other things that I'm seeing

00:01:56.100 right now that show how vapid the Liberal Party is, how weak the Liberal Party is, how morally corrupt

00:02:03.120 and morally lacking the Liberal Party is as well. Stuff like this. Housefather, 31 Liberal MPs lead call

00:02:10.780 to action against rising anti-Semitism in Canada. 31 Liberal MPs. Critics wonder why 137 other members

00:02:18.440 of Prime Minister Mark Carney's caucus didn't sign. Ezra Levant knows why, and this is what he had to

00:02:23.160 say. What a cell phone. Only 31 of 169 Liberal MPs would sign this simple letter against anti-Semitism.

00:02:30.520 They've done the math. Thanks to mass immigration, there are millions of anti-Semites in Canada now,

00:02:34.920 and the Liberals want their votes. So there you go. And then there's stuff like this.

00:02:39.120 U.S. trade war has pushed Canada into recession territory. Here's what that means. So there are

00:02:45.440 bad times on the horizon. Now, here's what's going to happen if we get into a recession.

00:02:50.220 Mark Carney will blame the recession on Donald Trump, and he might be right to do that. Certainly,

00:02:56.480 the Trump tariffs will help push us towards recession. And of course, the people who follow

00:03:01.040 Mark Carney will say the same thing. It's all Donald Trump's fault. But there's only one guy right now

00:03:06.000 that can solve this issue, and he hasn't done his job. And that would be Mark Carney. He is the one

00:03:13.600 who was supposed to solve the tariff issue. We go back over to my screen here. This is from March the

00:03:18.640 20th. Mark Carney's Liberals seen as best party to deal with Trump in tariffs, and they haven't done

00:03:24.380 the job. And then there's this here. So I went to chat GPT today. I went to chat GPT to ask a

00:03:40.320 question, and this is how I'm being lazy today. But I found this fascinating. I don't go to chat GPT

00:03:47.860 very often. I've used it on occasion here for information. I did a video a couple of weeks ago,

00:03:51.760 and people seem to like that. I use it to make thumbnails because I'm not good at making

00:03:55.520 thumbnails. A little picture you see on the screen for YouTube, I use it for that. Very helpful for

00:03:59.960 that. But I went to chat GPT and asked it a question today. I asked it a couple of questions

00:04:05.800 because I know you can lead chat GPT in a specific direction with your question and get the information

00:04:11.080 that you want out of that AI. So I thought I'd test it out. What do you think Mark Carney's main

00:04:17.580 accomplishment has been since he became the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada? I'll give

00:04:21.960 you a couple of seconds to think about that. What's his main accomplishment? What has he achieved?

00:04:27.840 I need to have a sip of my coffee.

00:04:31.940 I knew the answer to this as soon as I put it into chat GPT.

00:04:37.940 His main accomplishment, and here's the question I asked it right here.

00:04:41.480 What is Mark Carney's main accomplishment since becoming leader of the Liberal Party of Canada?

00:04:47.120 Since becoming the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada in March 2025, Mark Carney's most significant

00:04:51.940 accomplishment has been leading the Liberals to an election win. It's not solving the tariff problem.

00:04:58.360 It's not bringing grocery prices down, making the cost of living easier, lowering crime problems,

00:05:05.640 immigration has gone down. None of these things have been accomplished at all. The only thing Mark 1.00

00:05:10.380 Carney has accomplished is he became the actual legit Prime Minister of the country by winning the

00:05:16.320 election on April the 28th. Now, how many days has it been since Mark Carney became the leader of the

00:05:21.980 Liberal Party of Canada? 176 days, March 9th. And the best thing he's done happened 126 days ago on

00:05:30.180 April 28th when he became the legit Prime Minister. He's accomplished absolutely nothing.

00:05:35.960 So what question did I ask of chat GPT? I'm going to read it to you, okay? And I thought this was

00:05:45.400 terrific. So here's what I asked chat GPT this morning. Can you write me a four to five minute

00:05:53.280 essay on how Liberal Party leader of Canada, Mark Carney, has failed in his main goal of negotiating a trade

00:06:00.540 deal with the United States? Please incorporate his deflection away from this main issue by visiting

00:06:05.860 European countries and accomplishing absolutely nothing on behalf of the Canadian people. Now,

00:06:11.780 again, I go back to this. What's his main accomplishment? He's accomplished nothing other

00:06:16.320 than winning the election. So let's go back to what chat GPT had to say here, okay? It's titled

00:06:22.840 Mark Carney's Failure on Trade with the United States. When Mark Carney assumed leadership of the

00:06:27.220 Liberal Party of Canada, he entered politics with the reputation of a skilled international banker who

00:06:32.840 had navigated crises at the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England. Many Canadians expected that this

00:06:38.200 expertise would translate into concrete results in his new role as Liberal leader, particularly on the

00:06:45.300 most pressing issue facing Canada's economy, renegotiating a stable and beneficial trade relationship

00:06:51.120 with the United States. Unfortunately, Carney's record to date shows that he has failed to deliver on this

00:06:56.300 core promise. Carney's main objective was clear, repair relations with Washington and secure a trade

00:07:01.660 deal that would shield Canada from tariffs, resource disputes and economic uncertainty introduced under

00:07:08.080 President Donald Trump's administration. Instead of achieving progress, Carney has presided over

00:07:12.840 stalemate. U.S. tariffs remain in place on key Canadian exports. Energy access is still subject to

00:07:19.000 American political whims and Canada's natural resources, water, lumber and critical minerals remain

00:07:25.060 bargaining chips rather than secured national interests. For someone whose political brand was built on

00:07:30.980 economic competence, this failure represents more than just a political shortcoming. It is a betrayal

00:07:36.340 of his central mandate. Rather than remaining focused on the tough, painstaking negotiations necessary with

00:07:42.940 the United States, Carney has sought to redirect attention by staging photo op tours in Europe. He has met with

00:07:49.260 European leaders, attended economic forums and spoken at high-level conferences. Yet these trips have

00:07:54.500 produced no tangible benefit for ordinary Canadians. No new European trade markets have opened for Canadian

00:07:59.860 farmers or manufacturers. No breakthrough agreements have been secured to offset the lost ground with the

00:08:05.140 United States. These travels, while perhaps enhancing Carney's image abroad, have done nothing to address the

00:08:11.220 bread-and-butter concerns of workers and businesses at home. This pattern of distraction is telling. By pivoting to

00:08:18.500 Europe, Carney appears eager to avoid scrutiny of this inability to deal with Washington. In doing so, he risks

00:08:25.460 repeating the very political behavior he once criticized, chasing international prestige at the expense of

00:08:31.380 domestic results. While he has delivered speeches warning of global populism or climate risks, Canadian exporters

00:08:37.780 remain caught in uncertainty and consumers continue to face higher prices from trade disruptions.

00:08:44.500 The result is a credibility gap. Canadians expected that Carney's technical expertise would translate into

00:08:50.500 tough but effective negotiations. Instead, they see a leader who has allowed the central economic

00:08:55.460 relationship of this country to languish while wasting political capital on fruitless European tours.

00:09:01.860 In a political landscape where Canadians are increasingly skeptical of elites who talk more than they

00:09:06.580 deliver, this failure is especially damaging. In the end, Mark Carney has not met the challenge of his own

00:09:13.300 campaign promise. His inability to secure a US trade deal has left Canada exposed and vulnerable

00:09:19.380 at a time when economic certainty is desperately needed. Worse, his strategy of deflection, visiting European

00:09:25.460 capitals and returning empty-handed, underscores the gap between his international reputation and his

00:09:31.860 domestic effectiveness. If leadership is judged by results rather than rhetoric, Carney's tenure thus far must be

00:09:37.940 considered a profound disappointment. So, I thought that that was pretty good. And it's interesting,

00:09:43.700 Chad GPT actually asked you, would you like to be more partisan? And I ran that through as well. Yeah, make

00:09:48.980 the speech more partisan. This is far more critical of Mark Carney than a partisan speech that you might hear out of a

00:09:55.940 conservative politician's mouth, perhaps Pierre Polly. But I just thought that that was very interesting.

00:10:02.340 Carney's going to blame an upcoming recession on

00:10:05.380 Donald Trump and be prepared for a lot of bad things to happen. That's what I'm seeing in the future.

00:10:10.420 We have things that are happening right now. He's going to entrench the CBC in law. He's not backing

00:10:16.100 down on EV mandates. He's going to continue with his green agenda. He's going to allow the provinces and

00:10:21.620 aboriginals to have a veto on energy and natural resource projects in this country. And I don't think a lot is 1.00

00:10:28.980 going to get done, but he's going to try to push through a lot of nasty things before a next election,

00:10:34.340 which could come in 18 to 24 months. That's generally how long minority governments last. 0.77

00:10:39.220 So, I'm being a little lazy today, but I thought it was fascinating what Chad GPT spit out this morning.

00:10:45.220 Now, I just want to assure you that I don't rely on this for anything I say on this channel, and I don't

00:10:51.700 expect to ever do that again. It is a resource for me. It's a resource for you when you use

00:10:56.980 EI to get information. And I will use it as a resource. I use Microsoft AI as well,

00:11:02.580 Apple AI as well for statistics and things like that. But otherwise, I will not do this again.

00:11:08.740 Okay. I'm not going to rely on chat GPT for any commentary on my channel. I hope you enjoyed this.

00:11:15.060 I found this really interesting this morning when I did this, and I thought I would share it with you.

00:11:19.940 Thanks so much for being here. I do appreciate it. I'm going to head back upstairs, grab myself

00:11:24.820 another big blue mug of coffee. It's interesting when I come downstairs now, I have to bring my

00:11:28.660 coffee in this and then transfer it over to this because I have to hold on to the railing as I go

00:11:33.700 down the stairs because I don't want to tumble down the stairs and make myself worse off than I am

00:11:37.780 right now, but I'm feeling great. Thank you so much for being here. If you liked the video,

00:11:42.580 please give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel, ring the bell for notifications, back with

00:11:46.900 something brand new for you tomorrow, maybe even later on today. Have yourself a great holiday Monday,

00:11:52.500 and I'll see you in the next one.
