00:00:00.000 Hi, it's John and welcome to the channel 852 AM. It is Thursday, April the 16th. I hope
00:00:08.260 you're having a great Thursday. This is a tale of two campaigns, the Independence Campaign
00:00:14.120 and the Forever Canadian Campaign headed up by Thomas Lukasik, which I'm going to get
00:00:21.320 to in just a moment. Now, last night I was in Delburn for a Let's Talk Alberta event.
00:00:28.380 Chris Scott, Ben Crane, Zane Novak speaking. Outstanding speakers there last night and a
00:00:34.060 better group of people in the audience you will never find. They were terrific. I'm going to show
00:00:38.240 them to you in just a moment. Now, it was an incredible drive back last night. I mentioned
00:00:44.500 it on the video I recorded at 1.30 in the morning. I was up for almost 23 hours straight yesterday,
00:00:49.800 so I don't even know what that video looks like at this point. I was probably out of my mind when
00:00:54.720 I recorded it, but it certainly was an interesting drive back. My thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Albertan
00:00:59.360 for leading the way through whiteouts and white-knuckle driving for almost three hours
00:01:04.720 for what regularly would be about an hour and a half trip. Just atrocious weather here in
00:01:09.960 southern Alberta right now. I think I shoveled 15 to 20 centimeters out front of my house earlier
00:01:14.780 today. But I want to tell you about the Delburn event, and then I want to show you the people
00:01:19.760 that Thomas Lukasik is speaking in front of.
00:01:23.480 See, Lukasik's out on a Forever Canadian tour right now,
00:01:26.260 and he's going to go around and talk to people.
00:01:28.340 When I was driving back last night, I switched over to 660 News
00:01:31.740 because I wanted to get a weather report and a road report for Calgary
00:01:35.760 because of the bad driving conditions.
00:01:38.160 And a story ran on Lukasik being out at an event,
00:01:41.860 and they called it his historic Forever Canadian petition last year.
00:01:46.780 And I think Lukaszek went on to say that the independence movement was powered by the man down south, or words to that effect, suggesting that Donald Trump and his administration is powering the independence movement here, which is a total and utter lie.
00:02:04.820 It is a grassroots movement that I am involved in.
00:02:08.040 Now, what I want to do here is I want to show you the group of people I saw last night.
00:02:12.200 I recorded this myself in a hall in a small town in Alberta called Delburn.
00:02:18.900 And it was a pretty bad night as the weather got worse as the evening went on.
00:02:22.940 They were sitting there eating pierogies supplied by Chris Scott from the Whistle Stop Cafe.
00:02:28.700 These are the people that are part of the independence movement and a better group of people you will never see.
00:02:38.040 Hi, everybody.
00:02:41.520 Hey, Max.
00:02:42.300 How you doing, bud?
00:02:43.120 I'm going to stream, man.
00:02:44.020 Good to see you, man.
00:02:44.680 Good to see you.
00:02:45.720 Hey, guys.
00:02:46.800 Hey, guys.
00:02:48.720 I love you, too.
00:02:50.900 Awesome.
00:02:52.060 Wow.
00:02:53.200 She's great.
00:02:55.300 Hey, guys.
00:02:56.140 Hey.
00:02:56.860 How you doing?
00:02:58.840 Everybody, let's go.
00:03:01.180 There we go.
00:03:02.720 I am honored to know those people.
00:03:05.180 I am honored that they know me.
00:03:06.680 and I'm honored to shake their hands, know their names and speak to them. You know what's
00:03:10.680 interesting about these events I go to and everyone I go to? These people are happy people.
00:03:17.800 They're optimistic people. They're people who want better for themselves, their children and
00:03:23.240 their grandchildren and they don't believe Canada is the place to do that anymore. Canada gave up
00:03:28.540 on them and now they moved on to Alberta independence. The people in the room last
00:03:32.280 night, for the most part, consider themselves Albertans, not Canadians, because things have
00:03:38.680 changed in this country and not for the better. Now I want to show you the people that go to
00:03:44.140 Thomas Lukasik's events. This is the event that Lukasik was speaking at, at the Canadian Club.
00:03:50.500 I would like to point out all the people in this picture, save a couple, have gray hair. I don't
00:03:56.020 think that's significant. Older people are more likely to engage in politics. I only say that
00:04:01.660 Because every time a picture is taken of an independence event, the Forever Canadian people point that out.
00:04:07.300 I also want you to look at the fact that last night I was in a hall in Delburn where we ate pierogies off paper plates.
00:04:14.740 There are chandeliers in this room, white tablecloths, no doubt.
00:04:18.480 They probably paid a fee to get in and ate a very good meal.
00:04:22.280 I'm not saying these people are bad people.
00:04:24.460 I don't believe that at all.
00:04:25.920 But I don't think they're thinking straight.
00:04:28.640 and I think they're naive, and they're being manipulated by a guy like Thomas Lukasik,
00:04:33.160 who has ambitions of his own, and he wraps himself in the Canadian flag to further those ambitions.
00:04:39.420 Now, I want to bring you over to this story right here.
00:04:42.520 Rick Bell wrote this, and I think it went up last evening.
00:04:45.620 I'm only going to read a little bit of this to you, and I will put a link in the description.
00:04:51.980 Alberta separatism is real. Pro-Canada leader says it's a perfect storm.
00:04:56.520 Just a bit of the story. We call it independence, by the way. It is not separatism. It is independence.
00:05:02.700 He's determined to see those in favor of Alberta independence lose an October vote on whether or
00:05:07.760 not the province splits from Canada. He goes on to talk about the threat of the independence
00:05:12.620 movement. And then he gets in and he lays into Premier Daniel Smith. I think he wants to bring
00:05:17.560 her down. And again, he wraps himself in the Canadian flag to further his own ambitions
00:05:23.360 while probably running up a very large cell phone bill.
00:05:28.820 Then there was the defeat of Pierre Polyev and the Conservatives
00:05:32.380 when everybody thought they would win the election,
00:05:35.340 ride to the rescue, and fix what ails Canada.
00:05:38.040 Listen to this.
00:05:39.600 That was hard to swallow, says Lukasik, of the Conservatives' loss to the Liberals.
00:05:46.600 Really? Was it?
00:05:49.940 Thomas Lukasik, you forever Canadian people,
00:05:52.860 you conservatives who are upset with the Mark Carney government, but you still want to stay in
00:05:58.460 Canada because you have an emotional feeling towards the country and the flag. You people
00:06:03.420 who are following this man need to understand that Thomas Lukaszek is a liberal.
00:06:13.260 Here he is with the Honorable Eleanor Ozlowski. I can never get her name right. So happy for you
00:06:19.340 and proud of you. A lot of work to be done, but you have what it takes. And here he is again,
00:06:24.780 door knocking with this woman who is a liberal. Thomas Lukasik is a liberal.
00:06:32.140 Now back to the news story from Rick Bell. I'll bring myself back on the screen here.
00:06:38.080 The man is in Calgary and spoke to the Canadian club. It is a largely older crowd. A safe bet
00:06:44.800 would be the vast majority are supporters of Prime Minister Mark Carney. It appears Canada
00:06:50.640 has treated them well. And that's the rub, folks. Mark Carney and the Liberals got in
00:06:55.980 because these people in the room with him, and again, I don't think they're bad people,
00:07:01.020 but they thought, they didn't think of their children and their grandchildren,
00:07:04.380 unlike the people I met last night in Delvern. I heard that over and over again.
00:07:09.560 Zane Novak mentioned it on stage last night. I did interview Zane. I think I brought it up in
00:07:15.620 that interview with him. These people are concerned about their future. Now we move on to the story
00:07:20.760 once again. Let me just get down here and you can read this part. Talking about the problems in
00:07:26.340 Canada right now, and there are many, he says, some grievances are very factual and will need
00:07:31.740 to be dealt with by the prime minister and the premier because I actually want you to be in a
00:07:36.060 position where you will proudly vote for Canada. I want these soft core separatists, these skeptical
00:07:42.280 Canadians to know voting for separation is like tearing down a house because one pipe is leaking.
00:07:48.280 This man is gaslighting people. We heard during his petition campaign that the forever Canadian
00:07:57.080 people went into nursing homes and told people in nursing homes they were going to lose their
00:08:01.980 pensions. That's elder abuse, if that really happened. But Thomas Lukasik is gaslighting
00:08:08.680 people about all the problems here in Canada. We know them well. Let me run through a few.
00:08:15.740 Immigration crisis, temporary foreign worker crisis, skyrocketing deficits, skyrocketing
00:08:21.500 debt. You know, I did a video about this the other day. I made a graphic for all of them.
00:08:24.960 Let me run through all of them right now, real fast.
00:08:31.980 Amen.
00:09:01.980 and as i said in that story i did the other day in that video i was just scratching the surface
00:09:24.760 and i'd like to thank those of you who said i forgot maid the liberal maid killing machine
00:09:30.380 that kills more and more people every year here in Canada. It's a disgrace. Now, let's go back to 0.99
00:09:35.800 this news article for just a moment. And it's the thing that is not said here that's the most
00:09:42.240 important thing to point out. What is not said in this story is one reason why people should stay
00:09:50.160 in Canada. There is not one reason why people should stay in Canada. But I've got those other
00:09:57.520 reasons I just showed you for us to leave and why we want Alberta independence. Mr. Lukasik says
00:10:03.940 voting for separation is like tearing down a house because one pipe is leaking. Not one pipe is
00:10:09.780 leaking, Mr. Lukasik. Not all the pipes are leaking, but the house has fallen down. If you're sitting
00:10:19.060 on the fence right now, I would suggest you go out to one of the Let's Talk Alberta events,
00:10:23.780 the Stay Free Alberta events. You talk to people like John talking to Albertans. You ask a person
00:10:30.200 a question to find out what the independence movement is about because there is optimism
00:10:34.600 and happiness on our side and there is nothing but depression and sour faces on the forever
00:10:40.880 Canadian side. Don't buy what Thomas Lukasik is selling. Thank you very much for watching. I
00:10:47.680 appreciate it. If you like this video, please give it a thumbs up, subscribe to the channel,
00:10:52.420 ring the bell for notifications. I will see you in the next one.
