00:00:27.960 the channel all the time so what do i have to say about this independence rally today um first off i

00:00:32.760 was honored to be here uh you know i said earlier this morning i might be a little nervous because

00:00:37.640 there's a lot of a lot of people i felt like my friends and family were here for the day all of

00:00:42.840 the speakers were outstanding um talking about the independence movement and rallying the people

00:00:49.640 to talk to their friends their family to anyone who will listen about the movement and the

00:00:55.480 an independence coming to Alberta. Keith Wilson, who was one of the speakers here, the lawyer,

00:01:00.200 said that they're working hard to get a question on a ballot. And he said that he would guarantee

00:01:06.160 we're going to have an independence vote in the province of Alberta in 2026, be it in the spring

00:01:12.780 or in the fall. So good news there. I looked out across the legislature grounds here while I was

00:01:21.080 standing on stage, and I saw hundreds, it looked like, of Alberta flags on poles waving back

00:01:30.160 and forth through the whole event. Everybody was respectful, and when I left the grounds here,

00:01:38.820 there wasn't a spot of garbage laying around. It was unbelievable. What a great bunch of people.
