The world is waiting for confirmation that Joe Biden will not be the Democratic presidential
00:00:05.120
nominee against Donald Trump. That's because of Biden's car crash debate performance last week.
00:00:11.880
Biden had one job, to convince top Democrats and the public that he still has enough marbles left
00:00:17.600
to complete another four-year term. He failed. In fact, after watching the debate, most Americans
00:00:23.280
and allied countries were left with a sense of sadness, concern, and even fear that the sitting
00:00:29.500
U.S. president is not mentally fit to hold the most powerful job in the world. When Biden is removed
00:00:37.220
or resigns, it will send the Democratic Party into disarray. If unpopular and unlikable Vice President
00:00:43.300
Kamala Harris is the next choice, Democrats don't stand a chance. And if she's replaced by a more
00:00:49.240
favorable politician, say California Governor Gavin Newsom, it will split the party that bows at the
00:00:56.180
feet of DEI. The situation holds some parallels to Canada's own political landscape. Here too, voters
00:01:03.780
are being asked to deny what they can see with their own eyes. Rampant homelessness, rising living costs,
00:01:10.260
a dysfunctional leader. And in both cases, the years of lies are coming home to roost,
00:01:15.960
and the parties responsible will have to reap what they've sown. But perhaps most importantly,
00:01:21.460
in both countries, conservatives, perhaps for the first time in years, are feeling a sense of hope
00:01:27.600
and optimism with the knowledge that things could soon change to be safer, better, and happier. And
00:01:34.100
that if they don't, it's likely that North America as we know it is gone forever. I'm Rachel Parker,
00:01:39.600
and this is Rachel in the Republic.
00:01:51.620
Okay everyone, and for my long-time viewers, you'll notice that I have changed my name. I did get
00:01:56.420
married about a year and a half ago, and initially I had decided to keep my maiden name for my public
00:02:01.880
life, but I really just didn't like going by two names, and I wanted to have the same name as my family,
00:02:07.700
especially having a son now. So I have made the decision to change my last name. You'll notice
00:02:12.000
that my byline will be appearing as Rachel Parker. Just wanted to give you a little explanation on
00:02:17.220
that. I'll probably be giving this announcement a couple times over the next few weeks because not
00:02:21.020
everyone catches every episode, just so that everyone is all cut up to base and there is no
00:02:26.740
confusion there. Okay, now diving into today's coverage. Okay everyone, we are going to start with
00:02:31.220
the story that everyone has been talking about, Joe Biden's debate performance. Last week, Thursday,
00:02:36.120
Joe Biden faced off with Donald Trump, who is of course the Republican presidential nominee
00:02:41.160
in one of the most disastrous debates I've ever witnessed. Now I watch a lot of American politics,
00:02:47.440
but you don't even have to watch a lot of U.S. news. Maybe if you had even just tuned in for a
00:02:51.640
couple minutes to a Joe Biden press conference at some point, you'd have already known that this man
00:02:56.780
was not up to the job. His mental capabilities simply were not there. He's very old, he's very fragile,
00:03:02.320
there's often videos of him circulating online, tripping and falling. He seems to get lost very
00:03:08.020
often, not only in his thoughts, but also just when he's walking about. So many of us have known
00:03:12.480
that he is not up for the job for quite some time now. However, his performance was so bad that it
00:03:17.220
finally forced the liberal media, as well as many other Democratic politicians to come out and say,
00:03:22.940
something is wrong here, Joe Biden cannot continue. It even forced some of the most disingenuous
00:03:28.320
Democratic politicians like former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to come out and say
00:03:33.540
that concerns about Biden's health are legitimate. A Democratic House member for Texas is also calling
00:03:39.140
for Joe Biden to step aside and make the way for someone most likely younger. Joe Biden, of course,
00:03:45.100
has not yet agreed to step aside. The White House says he will still run for president. He is meeting
00:03:49.660
today with Democratic governors to try and shore up some support after his performance last week.
00:03:54.840
So let's start by breaking down some of his worst and perhaps most concerning moments of the night.
00:04:00.600
Trust me, we didn't have to look very hard. Take a look at this first clip.
00:04:03.520
Where they, in fact, pay 8.2% in taxes. If they just paid 24%, 25%, either one of those numbers,
00:04:11.180
they'd raise $500 million, billion dollars, I should say, in a 10-year period. We'd be able to wipe out
00:04:17.620
his debt. We'd be able to help make sure that all those things we need to do, child care, elder care,
00:04:22.860
making sure that we continue to strengthen our health care system, making sure that we're able
00:04:27.720
to make every single solitary person eligible for what I've been able to do with the COVID,
00:04:36.140
excuse me, with dealing with everything we have to do with, look, pandemic was so badly handled.
00:04:45.420
Many people were dying. All he said was, it's not that serious. Just inject a little bleach into
00:04:49.760
your arm. You'll be all right. In that first clip there, you can see Biden is trailing off.
00:04:54.900
He isn't able to complete a sentence. That right there was, I think, the first indicator to everyone
00:04:59.740
watching that things were not going to be going well for Biden, but it was also the first indicator
00:05:04.000
that this man should not be president. I don't think we can really stress how serious it is that
00:05:09.560
the sitting U.S. president is not able to complete a sentence. I think because Biden is so old and we've
00:05:15.320
seen so many of these moments, we've sort of started to just blow over them and not really understand the
00:05:20.400
seriousness of the fact that POTUS cannot finish his train of thought. In that second sentence,
00:05:26.960
Biden says something really bizarre there. He says that Donald Trump was telling people to inject
00:05:30.660
bleach into their arms during the COVID-19 pandemic, which of course Trump did not do.
00:05:35.800
I was watching the debate live on Thursday night and I wasn't as shocked as everyone else. I think
00:05:40.200
because I just kind of expected this type of performance from Biden. I was more surprised
00:05:44.480
scrolling online, seeing exactly how shocked people were about Biden's performance. I've just
00:05:48.880
become so accustomed to seeing him trailing off mid-thought, wandering off stage, going to shake
00:05:53.560
a hand of someone who isn't really there. So it didn't come as much a surprise to me, but obviously
00:05:57.740
there's been people who have not only been lying to the public, but also been lying to themselves
00:06:01.520
about Biden's mental aptitude and they were clearly caught very off guard on Thursday night.
00:06:06.020
Let's take a look at this next clip here.
00:06:07.360
But I believe in the exceptions for rape incest and the life of the mother. I think it's very
00:06:13.340
important. Some people don't follow your heart, but you have to get elected also. And because
00:06:18.660
that has to do with other things, it's been a terrible thing, what you've done. The idea
00:06:22.880
that states are able to do this is a little like saying, we're going to turn civil rights
00:06:26.760
back to the states, that each state have a different role. Look, there's so many young women
00:06:31.220
who have been including a young woman who just was murdered. And he went to the funeral.
00:06:36.460
And the idea that she was murdered by an immigrant coming in, they talk about that. But here's the
00:06:44.500
deal. There's a lot of young women being raped by their in-laws, by their spouses, brothers and
00:06:52.020
sisters. It's just ridiculous.
00:06:55.200
So for those of you who didn't hear what Biden said, he was saying that there are cases of women
00:07:00.840
who are getting raped by their spouses, getting raped by their in-laws, getting raped by their
00:07:05.760
brothers and sisters. Now, I'm not saying that this never happens, but it's certainly a very niche
00:07:12.540
topic. I'm not sure one that is such a phenomenon that it needs to be discussed during the U.S.
00:07:17.520
presidential debates. It's also very interesting that this was Biden's attempt to redirect from what
00:07:23.000
former President Donald Trump was talking about, which was the mass immigration crisis, which is,
00:07:28.200
of course, a much more prominent issue in U.S. politics. It's top of mind for both Republican
00:07:33.060
and Democratic voters, especially with some of the murders and some of the rapes that we've been
00:07:36.980
seeing of American women and girls. And so Biden's efforts to redirect here obviously failed,
00:07:43.660
but was just very kind of a bizarre thing to bring up. You can sort of see Trump looking over
00:07:48.620
to him like, what? What? I think that's my favorite part of the night. Just Donald Trump trying to just,
00:07:53.820
you know, keep a serious look about him, kind of looking over to the side and going,
00:07:57.540
what is this guy on about? That's probably my highlight of the night. Now, it wasn't only
00:08:02.340
what Biden said during the debates that caused concern, but also his facial expressions during the
00:08:08.480
night, looking very lost, looking very bewildered. Take a look at this next clip.
00:08:13.420
It's embarrassing day in the history of our country's life. President Trump, over the last
00:08:18.420
eight years, there was honestly just as much discussion about Biden's facial expressions
00:08:22.880
during the debate as there was to what he had said. That was so strange. Here's a comparison
00:08:27.560
from Matt Walsh. I'm not sure what that is. It looks like some sort of bizarre sea creature.
00:08:32.420
If you know what this is, please let me know. I am curious now. Now, while this debate performance
00:08:37.660
is still fresh in your mind, let's take a look at former U.S. President Donald Trump and how he did.
00:08:42.480
It was one of his better debates. I think a lot of people felt that maybe he wasn't quite as sharp
00:08:47.380
as he'd been in the past. You know, he didn't have quite as many zingers. You know, the media,
00:08:51.760
we always like to talk about the zingers and debates. Those are the moments that are easy to
00:08:55.800
clip, that go viral online, that make people laugh. Oh yeah, he really got him. It's kind of
00:08:59.380
what we look for. Maybe it's a bit of a cheap shot. But, you know, I felt that Donald Trump did
00:09:03.780
exactly what he needed to do here, which was to show himself to not be angry. I think following his last
00:09:09.580
election loss, the media did a really good job of painting him someone who was angry,
00:09:13.660
painting him as someone who didn't want to give up power and wouldn't give up power. You know,
00:09:17.640
they always ask that question. Will you accept the results of the election? Even though he obviously
00:09:21.360
did accept the results of the last election, he did give up the position as president, even though
00:09:26.100
he did look for legal options because he felt that the election wasn't fair, given all the laws that
00:09:31.620
changed to allow for mail-in ballots during the COVID-19 pandemic. And there's still a lot of
00:09:36.440
questions about the legitimacy of that. But of course, we know that President Trump did give up
00:09:41.100
office. He did step down. So those questions are a bit silly. But let's take a look at some of his
00:09:44.880
better moments of the night. Continue to move until we get the total ban on the total initiative
00:09:52.380
relative to what we're going to do with more border patrol and more asylum officers. President Trump?
00:09:59.080
I really don't know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don't think he knows what he said
00:10:02.900
either. Look, we had the safest border in the history of our country. The border, all he had
00:10:07.840
to do was leave it. All he had to do is leave it. So there we saw Trump noting that something is
00:10:12.060
amiss with Biden. He doesn't even really do it in a mean way. He doesn't call Biden dumb or old or say
00:10:18.120
that he's mentally impaired. He just sort of says, I don't even know what he said there. And I don't
00:10:21.540
think he knows what he said either. He's sort of pointing out what everyone can already see with
00:10:25.680
their own eyes. Something's clearly not right with Biden. He's not able to finish his sentences.
00:10:29.080
He's mumbling. He's trailing off. He is just pointing that out in a really calm and I think
00:10:34.780
kind of kind way considering what we've seen from Trump in the past and how far he could have taken
00:10:38.740
this. Here we have another good moment from Trump where he kind of slaps down Biden when they're
00:10:43.300
talking about Medicare. Take a look.
00:10:44.700
Voluntary person eligible for what I've been able to do with the COVID, excuse me, with dealing with
00:10:54.580
everything we have to do with. Look, if we finally beat Medicare.
00:11:03.420
Thank you, President Biden. President Trump.
00:11:06.320
He's right. He did beat Medicare. He beat it to death and he's destroying Medicare.
00:11:10.440
So we talk about zingers in a debate. Here's a really good example of that.
00:11:13.600
The topic of Medicare comes up. Biden finishes off. The moderators turn Trump's mic back on and he
00:11:19.720
quickly says, yeah, you beat Medicare. You beat Medicare to death. He's very quickly able to flip
00:11:25.220
that situation on Biden and moments like those, you know, that was of course clipped, went viral all
00:11:29.900
over the Internet. Everyone saw that and just thought, yeah, you know, here's an example of someone who has
00:11:34.200
strong mental aptitude. He's able to grasp the concepts and to respond. In contrast, Biden wasn't
00:11:40.300
really aware of what he was talking about, was lost, trailed off. And in the moments where he
00:11:45.900
was able to finish his sentences, it was just so over rehearsed as if he had just spent, you know,
00:11:51.360
hours and hours ahead of the debate, practicing, memorizing lines, not understanding actual concepts,
00:11:57.580
not being able to work with the material and to discuss it in any meaningful way, but simply to
00:12:02.900
repeat lines. We know that President Biden spent the six days before the debate preparing. There was
00:12:09.500
report saying that he wouldn't start until about 10, 30, 11 a.m. and that he would also have an
00:12:14.920
afternoon nap every day. So I'm not sure how much time he actually spent practicing for debate, but
00:12:20.200
obviously he is very old. You know, he needs his rest. It's not surprising that they had to give him
00:12:25.060
six full days and then he still came out looking very unprepared. I don't think that was an issue of
00:12:29.840
him actually being unprepared. I just think that's the best that they could do with Biden and him being
00:12:35.540
so elderly at this point. And as I've said now a hundred times, he's just not up for the job
00:12:41.200
anymore. So finally, let's go to one of Trump's best moments of the night. Here he is talking about
00:12:45.980
retribution. This of course had to do with the January 6th, the protests at the Capitol. Many
00:12:51.480
people have tried to say that Trump is responsible, that it was an insurrection, that Trump called for
00:12:55.540
the insurrection. Here he is now being asked about retribution. Take a listen.
00:12:59.540
Your main political opponent is standing on stage with you tonight. Can you clarify exactly what it means
00:13:04.500
about you feeling you have every right to go after your political opponents?
00:13:07.640
Well, I said my retribution is going to be success. We're going to make this country successful again
00:13:12.640
because right now it's a failing nation. My retribution is going to be success.
00:13:16.680
Conservative commentators largely pegged this as one of Trump's best moments of the night. I have to agree.
00:13:22.300
It was really just the perfect answer. The best retribution for me is success. I think if all of us
00:13:28.000
applied that in our own lives, the world would be a much better place. You know, not one where people are
00:13:32.720
holding grudges, but are really just trying to do their best and excel. And I think Trump just showed
00:13:38.460
himself to be so contained. Of course, questions about January 6th, many people in the liberal media
00:13:43.060
in the States have tried to peg him as responsible for the protests that took place at the Capitol.
00:13:48.360
It was called an insurrection at the time. You know, people said it was worse than 9-11. Just some
00:13:54.000
bizarre things have come out and questions about that have dogged Trump ever since then. As well, you and I
00:13:58.960
might not have concerns about whether Trump would be willing to concede the election if he did lose
00:14:02.580
again. But for voters who did believe the lies about January 6th watching at home, I think this
00:14:07.960
would be very reassuring to them hearing his answer. This is someone who is really just looking to,
00:14:12.840
you know, go out and win. And he's looking for a victory. He's not looking for vengeance. And
00:14:18.000
later in the debate, you know, Biden kept trying to bring this up time and always looking for
00:14:21.600
retribution. But Donald Trump had already dealt with that by saying that for me, success is my
00:14:26.720
retribution. And so I think Biden's efforts there to sort of paint Trump as angry and someone who
00:14:32.660
was vicious and who wouldn't respect democracy and respect the will of the American people,
00:14:36.980
I think those really fell flat. Now, if you think that Biden's performance throughout the night was
00:14:42.120
the worst part of the evening, you would be wrong. There was one moment, not a lot of people saw this,
00:14:47.880
it was circulating online. I'm going to share this video for you now of immediately following the end
00:14:53.240
of the debate. You see Donald Trump kind of saunter off stage there. And then you see Joe Biden feebly
00:14:59.100
being helped down the stairs by his wife, Jill. Take a look.
00:15:23.240
For anyone who finished the debate without feeling a sense of concern or alarm over President Biden,
00:15:33.160
I think in that moment, it must have hit them that this is just not a good situation. Here's a man
00:15:37.460
can't even really walk down the stairs very well by himself. And then Dr. Jill Biden, she, you know,
00:15:43.960
really solidified that concern by seeking to rally up supporters. You know, I'm sure at that point,
00:15:50.300
they just wanted to go home and sort of get down on their knees and think to themselves,
00:15:54.840
what have I done? But here she is seeking to congratulate her husband, amp up supporters.
00:15:59.600
I think she probably did the exact opposite. Take a look at this next clip and listen carefully to
00:16:03.900
what she says. Joe, you did such a great job. You answered every question. You knew all the facts.
00:16:11.120
So you see her there. She looks at Biden and she says, you answered all of the questions.
00:16:27.560
You answered all of the questions. Imagine congratulating the sitting US president for
00:16:32.540
their debate performance by saying you answered all the questions. The bar has truly never been
00:16:38.540
lower. Of course, this clip went viral online. I have to read you some of the responses. They were
00:16:43.060
just absolutely hilarious. Basically saying what we're all thinking. This user here said,
00:16:47.520
Jill sounded exactly like me when I encouraged my toddler when he went potty. It's pretty much the
00:16:52.860
case. That's how I feel when I am finally able to feed my son a little spoonful of food. He really
00:16:57.680
doesn't like to eat solids yet. So finally, when I get a little, you know, maybe a spoonful of banana
00:17:01.900
down him and I say, good job, but he smiles at me. That was sort of what Biden looked like in that
00:17:06.200
moment. Just a little kid, you know, so happy to be getting some praise from his wife. It actually,
00:17:10.500
it sort of melted my heart a little bit in a very sad way. You know, it's just very sad. This is the
00:17:15.080
situation that America is in and really the rest of the world is. And obviously here in Canada, we
00:17:20.140
rely on the States for, for quite a bit. So another user said, this sounds like praise for a first grader.
00:17:26.000
And finally, user said, I've been holding strong, but this one made even me feel bad for Biden.
00:17:31.780
He smiled when his wife told him he did a good job, which is honestly how I felt. You kind of,
00:17:37.300
your heart breaks from, you see in that moment, just exactly how old he is. And it's so true that
00:17:41.820
at the end of life, it's sort of like when you're an infant again, you know, you're sort of, you'll
00:17:45.320
end up in diapers again a lot of times and you just become very childlike. You need to rely on people
00:17:49.940
for care when you're very young. And again, when you're very old, you're not able to do things on
00:17:54.540
your own anymore. And we're seeing that now with Biden. He's old and it's very childlike. And so we can
00:17:59.840
laugh and poke fun at the situation because it is very ridiculous. And I think we should laugh and
00:18:04.720
poke fun at it. But at the same time, there's a heaviness to it and there's a sadness to it.
00:18:09.520
Just seeing Biden. And I know a lot of people, you know, are very angry at, at Jill Biden saying
00:18:14.560
she should not be doing this to her husband. And the thing that I wonder is, you know, Biden,
00:18:18.840
he's 81 years old now. If he had not run and he had not been president for the last four years,
00:18:23.820
I can't help but think that his mental capacity would actually be quite a bit better
00:18:27.980
because he's obviously been under an incredible amount of stress over the last four years.
00:18:32.600
And I suspect that contributed significantly to the deterioration of his mind over the past four
00:18:37.400
years. I think that if he had been in retirement, been enjoying just his last years with his grandkids,
00:18:43.000
you know, he's not a good man. I'm not going to pretend that he's lived a good life or that he's
00:18:46.360
been a good person. But if he hadn't run for office and he had just stayed home, I think his mental
00:18:51.440
capacity would actually be a lot better. And we've just seen his health decline so much over the last four
00:18:55.940
years. And the people around him, including his wife, you know, they have to take responsibility
00:19:00.240
for that. In case any of you were wondering if this was just sort of a one-off and, you know,
00:19:04.020
it was just a bad debate performance night for Biden. We know that the Democrats tried to say,
00:19:08.540
oh, you know, he had a cold. He wasn't feeling well. He had a cold. The White House press secretary
00:19:12.760
fielded questions about whether he was on any medication that night. She said he was not. But
00:19:16.940
immediately after the debate started, we saw, you know, some journalists in the States tweeting out
00:19:20.800
that Biden had a cold. OK, having a cold does not mean that you have mental impairment. You know,
00:19:26.220
you might have the sniffles. Maybe your voice is a little bit more congested than usual. But
00:19:30.020
you don't your sentences don't trail off. You don't lose your train of thought every other minute
00:19:35.080
when you have a cold. It was sort of a ridiculous effort on their part. But, you know, I think they're
00:19:40.720
just sort of at a point where they don't even know what to do. I think a lot of people are feeling
00:19:43.440
that he should step aside. But for those of you who are wondering, oh, you know, maybe the cold
00:19:46.940
really did, you know, get to his mind. Maybe it was just a bad night for him. Here he is the very
00:19:51.560
next day, once again, with his cruel wife, Jill, at a rally. Just take a look at the expression on his
00:19:57.300
face. Here in North Carolina and across America, who are working hard to find a secure place in the
00:20:05.100
middle class. The moms who worry that they're doing. I saw in him then the same character that I see in
00:20:13.080
him today. So there you see it again. This man is just not, he's just too old. Like, please take him
00:20:42.500
home, put him to bed. That expression is actually scary. And I think anyone watching that, you just
00:20:47.540
have to feel kind of sad for the man. His wife is parading out in public. I hope that when I'm that
00:20:52.100
old and I've lost a couple marbles, heck, maybe even after I've had another baby and I haven't slept
00:20:56.440
through, you know, the now a night in two years, my family might just say, Rach, you know, it's time to
00:21:01.400
put away the microphone, turn off the camera for a little while, get some rest, try it again. In Biden's
00:21:05.340
case, obviously we know he's just done. He's had a very long political life. He's very old. It's time for
00:21:10.400
him to retire and step aside. Now there are reports coming out that Jill Biden is actually not allowing
00:21:16.360
her husband to have conversations with anybody who might encourage him to resign, believe it or not. She
00:21:22.560
is so desperate to hold on to the power that she doesn't want her husband speaking to anybody who might
00:21:29.260
talk some wisdom into him, who might tell him, listen, Joe, you know, you can resign now and save your
00:21:34.240
legacy. Honestly, I personally think it might be a little bit too late for that. If he resigns now, it'll always be
00:21:39.580
remembered as a resignation that came after this car crash debate performance. If he had done it a
00:21:44.400
couple months ahead of time, you know, maybe he would have been able to salvage things. But at this
00:21:48.580
point, I think, you know, the signs are kind of there. I think everyone's, the writing is on the
00:21:53.460
wall. Everyone knows why he needs to resign. And that's how his legacy will be remembered at this
00:21:58.500
point. So after this debate performance, we immediately see knives out, knives out for Biden,
00:22:03.820
House Speaker, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi came out and said that concerns about his health are
00:22:07.760
legitimate. Take listen to that. So we have all these things that he was masterful in helping to
00:22:13.380
orchestrate to write and to pass. So he has a vision. He has knowledge. He has judgment. He has
00:22:20.640
a strategic thinking and the rest. He has a bad night. Now, again, I think it's a legitimate question
00:22:26.980
to say, is this an episode or is this a condition? As I mentioned, the White House is using this excuse
00:22:33.880
that he had a cold. He said he was not on any medication. They also fielded questions about
00:22:38.560
whether he had had a cognitive test. We know that when President Trump was in office, he had had a
00:22:44.080
cognitive test that he said he passed with flying colors. He was actually sort of talking about that
00:22:48.380
again during the debate on Thursday, bragging about his performance and how well he passed that test.
00:22:53.700
The White House is saying that a cognitive test for Joe Biden is not warranted in this case. I think
00:22:59.280
the American public would disagree, but White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was even asked
00:23:05.100
point blank whether POTUS has dementia or another degenerative illness. Take a listen.
00:23:11.160
I'm going to ask something delicate and you may not like it. The president may not like to hear it
00:23:16.660
if he's watching, but I think the American people need to get a yes or no answer on this.
00:23:21.860
Does President Biden at 81 years old have Alzheimer's, any form of dementia,
00:23:28.120
dementia or degenerative illness that may cause these sorts of lapses? And it's a yes or no
00:23:35.580
question. And if you don't know, why don't you as one of his senior staff members know?
00:23:42.560
I have an answer for you. Are you ready for it? It's a no. And I hope you're asking the other guy
00:23:46.380
the same exact question. And then of course, to be expected, another impact of this was just
00:23:50.720
extremely unfavorable polling data for President Biden in the days since the debate. This is from CNN.
00:23:56.100
So if we're talking about biased American news sources, this is probably about as bad as it gets.
00:24:02.200
Three quarters of U.S. voters say the Democratic Party would have a better shot at holding the
00:24:07.200
presidency in 2024 with someone other than President Joe Biden at the top of the ticket.
00:24:12.580
That's according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS. Biden's approval rating also hit a new low
00:24:19.440
following a shaky performance in the first debate of this year's presidential campaign.
00:24:23.800
So we're going to take a look at some breakdown. Voters nationwide favor former President Donald
00:24:29.100
Trump over Biden by six points. 49% to 43%. Some of you might have expected these numbers to flip a
00:24:35.700
bit more. I think if we see an eight point lead for Donald Trump heading into the November 5th election,
00:24:41.340
that's a pretty good indicator that the Democrats aren't going to do too well. We're not going to see
00:24:45.500
a massive flip like we would maybe see in Canada. I think voters in the states are just quite a bit
00:24:50.800
more entrenched. An eight point flip is enough to get the Republicans the victory that they're
00:24:54.940
looking for. However, these are still bad signs. Three quarters of U.S. voters say that the Democratic
00:25:00.780
Party would have a better shot at the presidency. So 75% of people are saying, you know, Biden, he's
00:25:06.820
done. He's got to go. So that brings us to the question of the top of everyone's mind. What happens
00:25:11.280
next? On Sunday, Bill O'Reilly was the first out of the gate with the news that it's over for Biden.
00:25:16.240
He said that Biden is going to resign. The White House is just figuring out how to announce that
00:25:22.280
news. That information as of now is unconfirmed. The White House is still saying that Biden will be
00:25:27.440
atop the ticket. He will still be running for president. Things are changing almost hourly.
00:25:31.820
It's likely that this news could be out of date very, very soon. We're seeing multiple reports
00:25:35.800
from people saying that Biden is done. You know, speculation as well, but just within the Democratic
00:25:40.540
Party, there's rustlings. We're hearing that even the Obamas are saying Biden's performance was
00:25:45.300
disastrous. Of course, Obama did put out a tweet supporting Biden saying, yeah, you know, we all
00:25:50.660
have bad debates. We all have bad nights. But behind the scenes, it sounds like something very
00:25:55.600
different is going on. Obama is saying that Biden was already going to have a difficult path to
00:26:00.600
re-election and now it'll be even more challenging. You know, when we're hearing that all around,
00:26:04.760
people are saying it's time for a shakeup. Tucker Carlson also weighed in on X writing,
00:26:08.540
Biden is done. Bet on it. Too many prominent Democrats have suggested he's brain damaged.
00:26:13.240
They can't walk that back. They have to remove him and they will.
00:26:17.320
Now, the question remains is how and if the Democrats can even get Biden off the ballot.
00:26:21.780
This has been a topic of speculation. Lots of different trains of thoughts as to how this would
00:26:25.580
work. One problem that could arise is that Georgia, Wisconsin and Nevada may prove especially
00:26:31.080
difficult for the Democrats to actually get Biden off that ballot. For example, in Wisconsin,
00:26:36.180
it's said that a candidate's name can only be removed in the case of death. For Nevada,
00:26:40.980
the deadline for changing a candidate ended at 5 p.m. on the fourth Friday of June. So in this case,
00:26:46.760
that was on June 28. That's long past now. Nevada does allow a special consideration beyond that
00:26:52.120
deadline if the candidate is mentally incapacitated. But even in that case, this is likely going to end
00:26:57.020
up in the court. So now we're looking at potentially weeks-long court cases. You know,
00:27:01.940
we're coming up on this election on November 5th. There's not a lot of time to be switching out
00:27:05.360
candidates right now. As for Georgia, Georgia allows candidates to withdraw up to 60 days before
00:27:10.860
an election. If Biden withdraws after that date, it would be in early September. His name would remain
00:27:16.560
on the ballot, but votes wouldn't count for him. So in this case, time is really of the essence.
00:27:21.860
Obviously, that deadline for Nevada has already passed. Georgia, you can still make the changes in
00:27:27.320
Georgia. Wisconsin, it says only a death. So I don't know what this is going to look like. We know that
00:27:32.140
the Heritage Foundation, that's one of America's largest conservative groups, is already getting
00:27:36.880
challenges ready in battleground states in case Biden agrees to step aside. The executive director
00:27:42.460
of the Heritage Foundation's oversight project, Mike Howell, told Newsweek the process of switching
00:27:47.160
candidates is legally complex, adding, quote, we are monitoring the calls from across the country for
00:27:51.620
President Biden to step aside, either now or before the election, and have concluded that the
00:27:55.800
process for substitution and withdrawal is very complicated. We will remain vigilant that
00:28:00.520
appropriate election integrity procedures are followed. So the Heritage Foundation, this is a
00:28:04.760
very powerful group. They have a ton of backing. This is the group that was largely responsible for
00:28:08.940
the overturning of Roe v. Wade. They have the proper legal minds, they have the proper backing and the
00:28:14.100
proper funding. So certainly they are going to do their best effort to create a headache for the
00:28:19.280
Democrats if they try to switch out the presidential nominee at the last moment. Looks like there's still
00:28:23.060
some wiggle room. I just don't know how they would be able to supersede that in this constant where it
00:28:27.320
does say only in the case of death can a candidate's name be replaced ahead of the election at this
00:28:31.980
point. So certainly it's going to be very problematic for for the Dems. And then of course they have
00:28:36.560
the discussion of who are they going to choose to replace them, as I mentioned in my monologue.
00:28:41.100
You know, the appropriate choice at this point in the game would be Vice President Kamala Harris,
00:28:45.040
but she's very unpopular. She's not well liked in the Democratic Party. She was chosen
00:28:49.380
because they wanted a female black vice president. And, you know, she hasn't been doing a very good job.
00:28:55.740
I can imagine what can be, and be unburdened by what has been. You know?
00:29:00.080
What can be unburdened by what has been?
00:29:08.000
What can be unburdened by what has been?
00:29:12.500
What can be unburdened by what has been?
00:29:17.160
What we can see, what we believe can be,
00:29:20.680
unburdened by what has been.
00:29:21.980
What can be unburdened by what has been.
00:29:25.700
You know, she doesn't stand a chance against Donald Trump.
00:29:27.800
That being said, if she's replaced,
00:29:29.340
i know that there's been a lot of discussion about california governor gavin newsom could he
00:29:33.100
be the democratic presidential nominee it really threatens to split the party because they've now
00:29:38.940
taken away what potentially could have been the first black female president and they've replaced
00:29:43.420
it with a white man and this is the party that loves diversity equity and inclusion more than
00:29:48.380
anything else that is their holy grail that is where they bow their knees so that would really
00:29:55.740
threaten to kind of split the vote split the party could cause a lot of disarray for them okay
00:30:00.220
