00:00:00.000I want to start by talking about the Canadian economy, because, you know, you're talking about the hierarchy of needs here.
00:00:04.940And obviously, like shelter and safety are number one, but like having an opportunity to start a business, to get a good job, to provide for your family.
00:00:13.880That is like the key, most important thing in a country, in a society.
00:00:18.640I don't think it's the government's job to give people jobs and to give them opportunities, but clearly they have to get out of the way.
00:00:24.380And that is a problem that the liberals have not done.
00:00:26.300so canadian economist trevor tome shared this chart showing that canada ranked second lowest
00:00:32.060in gdp per capita across the oecd developed countries so you can see at the very very very
00:00:37.820bottom of that chart the little red line there that is canada with just completely anemic growth
00:00:45.500basically just nothing right and we can go through some of these other graphs here canada's growth
00:00:52.940based on GDP per capita is even worse. We are the absolute worst. This is over the last 10 years.
00:00:59.020I think we have this graph here showing, oops, this is a different one, but this is showing
00:01:04.860the performance. Canada's economy is on track to be the worst performing advanced economy
00:01:10.860in the entire world. We are at the very end there. Regardless of what you're looking at,
00:01:18.540you know canada's gdp crumbling despite massive government spending uh here's another graph here
00:01:24.780that shows the uh just government spending so spending is basically the only thing that's
00:01:31.420boosting our gdp these days is just growth in government essentially and then we have this
00:01:37.180other graph showing the gap between the public sector and the private sector and you can basically
00:01:42.700just see that like since 2020 since the pandemic canadians self-employed canadians just basically
00:01:49.260are less and less existent and private sector growth hasn't been anywhere near public sector
00:01:54.700this is a record of the trudeau liberals and i don't really see much difference from mark carney
00:02:01.340what do you think yeah look this is this is actually a multi-faceted issue that's tied to
00:02:05.820the crime so let's think about how you build a really strong economy you have to invest in
00:02:09.740innovation and so for your viewers that don't understand gdp per capita means really how well
00:02:15.580off do you feel and so our growth while minimal means the rest of the world's getting richer
00:02:20.700and in comparison we're getting poorer so what's that mean our quality of life has been decreasing
00:02:25.420significantly over the last 10 years and i think a lot of people feel that they feel that quality
00:02:30.060of life decrease they feel the cost of living increasing while this is happening they feel
00:02:34.860wages stagnating and so what this liberal government has done in order to boost some
00:02:39.740metrics like gross gdp what they've done is one you mentioned that's that public sector uh workers
00:02:45.660increasing significantly one two the large amount of immigration that we've brought into this country
00:02:51.340on a per capita basis makes us worse off.
