00:00:18.900Behind me, a very large and very upset group of Canadians have gathered to show their support for famed Canadian professor, author and podcast host, Jordan B. Pearson.
00:00:28.480Just last week, Jordan Peterson announced on Twitter that the Ontario College of Psychologists have initiated disciplinary action against the professor for comments he made criticizing the Prime Minister, retweeting Pierre Polyev and for comments he made on Joe Rogan's podcast.
00:00:45.740Peterson announced last week that the College of Psychologists is forcing him to undergo, quote, mandatory social media retraining or face the prospect of having his license to practice psychology stripped.
00:00:57.500Now, Jordan Peterson is, of course, taking the Ontario College of Psychologists to court over this, and he is not complying with the mandatory re-education that he is being subjected to.
00:01:07.500At the heart of this protest, of course, is free speech.
00:01:10.160The question of free speech, whether or not Canadians have the ability to freely express themselves anymore in this country.
00:01:15.900Over the past 12 months, Canadians have seen their fellow countrymen have their access to their bank accounts frozen for protests in the government, and now they're seeing a high-profile psychologist having his license to practice psychology potentially stripped for criticizing the government.
00:01:29.700So we're here on the ground asking Canadians what they think about freedom of speech and freedom of expression in Canada, and whether or not they feel that their institutions are trying to uphold their freedoms.
00:01:39.120Do you feel free in this country? Do you feel like the government and institutions in this country, not just government, but institutions respect your right to free expression, given that that's what we're really here for?
00:01:47.840I feel the opposite is what's happened. And that's not just in the medical field. The legal field is the same thing. They're co-opted. They're corrupted. There is no rule of law left. They don't care about evidence. They don't care about conflict of interest. They don't care about bias. They just care about advancing their agenda.
00:02:11.180I think they're interested in silencing people, especially the last few years. There's been a downward spiral of them taking away our rights. And freedom of speech is the most fundamental one. It protects every other right. It's the right we use to express ourselves, to express our interests, to speak the truth of what's going on the past few years.
00:02:29.060There's been a lot of lies, a lot of darkness, a lot of suppression. And it seems like they're trying to make an example out of Jordan Peterson, to set a standard, set a new standard that will always take away that right.
00:02:42.060The bill is C-11. It's being forced through, and this is the end of, you know, my speech. They can't talk to me with anything, you know.
00:02:53.980Do you feel like levels of government and institutions are trying to protect your right to freedom of speech in this country?
00:02:59.660No. I think they're taking it away day by day, week by week, month by month. I don't believe we have freedom of speech anymore. I believe that it's all taken away.
00:03:10.180Whatever story you have, I think that if you have something that favors the government, it gets through.
00:03:14.860For what? You have something that opposes the government, opposes the media, which is, I want to say, all the regular media, they will also put you down.
00:03:25.420This is why our beloved government in Ottawa wants to institute Bill C-11, right, in order to be able to regulate what we see and what we hear and what we, you know, on the internet.
00:03:39.540So they can shut down, whenever they want, any views. So they're so thin-skinned, these people, and this includes these people over here. That's my view.
00:03:50.240Peterson is not the only Ontario professional to face disciplinary action from their professional colleges.
00:03:55.680I want to introduce you to Mary O'Connor, a woman who had her license to practice medicine stripped from her by the Ontario College of Physicians for handing out exemptions to the shot.
00:04:06.660And I've been a doctor. I graduated from Toronto 50 years ago, and I've still practiced solo practice for 44 years as a general practitioner.
00:04:16.000So everything was fine until the two weeks of lockdown, and I didn't know at the beginning the truth, but I started to listen to American TV, and I found out the truth of what was going on.
00:04:28.140As I got back into practice, I became known that I was a person who would write exemptions, so I did write a lot of exemptions for mass PCR tests, and the experiment on the vaccine.
00:04:41.180And the college became aware of my actions, and the college became aware of my actions, because two employers phoned them to see if my exemptions were legitimate, and they then contacted me on October the 8th.
00:04:53.940I was 21, and I was disgraceful and confident and brisk to everybody. They wanted the names and the charts of all the patients I'd written exemptions for, so I refused to do that.
00:05:12.700They hired a team. They had a team then of four investigators who were given the power to find me and my chart. I had to hire a guard for my office and let patients in and out.
00:05:23.400They proved me with private eyes to get exemptions after they gave me an order without telling me on November 5th I wasn't to write more exemptions, because I didn't get that order until after I'd written it for the private investigator.
00:05:34.460On December 8th they came into my office when I wasn't there, but they had trapped my friend who had been guarding my office, and they just pummeled him with questions about where I was, where are my charts.
00:05:45.160They left the warrant from my colleague to give them, for her to give my charts. On December 23rd midnight they took away my license, and on January 7th they took me to Ontario Superior Court, and the judge ruled that I had to give over my charts,
00:06:00.160the names and charts of my patients, which I haven't done, so at this point I'm into a contemporary court, and another court appearance pending.
00:06:07.160And do you still have your license to practice?
00:06:10.160No, they took my license away that a year ago, December 23rd.
