00:01:28.060 so it's really interesting to see a hard left cabinet minister like mark miller former immigration

00:01:42.060 situation perhaps the member opposite can turn to her right talk to the leader of the opposition who's

00:04:01.320 was out on bail like it's not a good look um the same week that pierre polyev decides to get tough

00:04:11.540 miller was sort of surprising to me but we also heard the very typical predictable uh liberals and

00:04:17.300 sort of media critics journalists uh criticizing pierre polyev the same way that they did to

00:04:21.840 daniel smith last week by just quickly saying this is racist your intention must be racist if you

00:04:26.320 don't want to have a totally compassionate system that puts immigrants ahead of canadians um then

00:04:31.420 you must just be a terrible bad person so here is more of the predictable uh criticism coming from

00:04:36.620 justice minister sean fraser accusing the conservatives of pushing anti-refugee policies uh just because 0.71

00:04:47.160 difficult to hear over the anti-refugee dog whistle that's been coming through the air all afternoon

00:05:59.880 millions of views on x and a lot of the comments in the quote tweets were from like journalists and

00:06:52.460 smuggler so like obviously it was it was his father's own fault sadly tragically and it has nothing

00:12:10.180 right and i mean i've been critical of justin trudeau's immigration and citizenship policies for over

00:12:15.140 a decade one of the things that he did the worst thing he did was he cut down the amount of

00:12:19.040 time needed to spend in canada to become a citizen uh down to three years part time right so like you

00:12:24.400 don't even really need to live in canada in order to get the passport and so people take advantage

00:12:28.440 of the system they scam they commit fraud or even they just spend the bare minimum number of days

00:12:32.700 in the country to qualify to get the passport and so anyone who would argue that that a person who

00:12:38.320 gets citizenship that way and just got their citizenship a couple weeks ago and has like no

00:12:42.380 interest in the canadian project or in canadian history and symbols but that person's just as

00:12:46.600 canadian uh as you and i or people watching the audience you know this isn't a comment on skin

00:12:51.260 color or race it's really just a comment on culture and value and the the you know the the integrity

00:12:56.620 of our citizenship what it means to be canadian everyone everyone on the conservative side agrees

00:13:26.200 perspective canadians hate floor crossing and seeing someone who was voted in as a conservative

00:13:31.460 across the floor we've seen three times now uh to me that would turn people away from the liberals but

00:13:37.000 somehow canadians are the opposite so the latest angus reed poll has the liberals up 13 points

00:13:44.160 13 points this is a poll that came out yesterday february 24 sorry two days ago um they ascend to a

00:13:50.360 13 point lead over the conservatives this is so devastating right like it we were kind of neck and

00:13:56.240 neck in january the liberals are at 41 conservatives at 38 and because they're just falling down to 32

00:14:01.280 and 45 and it's not just that one poll right like if you look at um this which is just all of the

00:14:08.380 polls conducted in february you will see the liberals just absolutely dominating out that's

00:14:13.920 like every poll from february 2nd up to february 23rd the liberals have a lead they have a commanding

00:14:19.560 lead in some in some areas they have like a 15 point lead um this is a nightmare scenario for

00:14:25.360 peer polio because if mark carter gets too confident and looks at these numbers and says you know what

00:14:29.840 i can call an election now and i can wipe the floor with conservatives get my majority and govern for

00:14:34.940 four years without having to worry about it um that will probably be the end of peer polio as leader

00:14:45.980 next its next leader at the winnipeg convention held from march 27th to 29th a writ period is about a month

00:14:54.140 so he has like three days left to call an election with with that um
