Juno News - Carney Threatens Emergencies Act？

A conversation I had with the Prime Minister in Hamilton on the 29th of March. Mark Carney was doing a photo op tour of the Stelco steel plant with legacy media, including CTV. And when someone asked him what he was going to do in the face of Alberta independence, his response was that he would invoke the emergencies act.

00:00:00.000 Talk a little bit about what happened. This was a conversation that someone was privy to involving the Prime Minister in Hamilton, correct?

00:00:09.340 Well, it was more than a conversation. It was on the 29th of March. You Google it and look it up. He was there, right?

00:00:16.460 Carney was doing this, you know, photo op tour of the Stelco steel plant in Hamilton, right?

00:00:22.220 and, you know, being followed around slavishly by, you know, legacy media reporters.

00:00:28.080 Rebel News had been barred from the event, you know, as usual, right?

00:00:32.940 So we didn't have any independent media there.

00:00:35.380 And what I am told reliably by somebody who was present was that somebody asked Mr. Carney,

00:00:43.200 well, you know, what are you going to do in the face of Alberta independence?

00:00:47.560 And he effectively answered, well, I'm not worried about Alberta independence

00:00:50.520 because we'll invoke the the Emergencies Act so you know in you know in effect and again so what

00:00:58.560 happened is you know I'm you know working away on all the various things that I'm working on right

00:01:02.220 now with regard to our petition campaign and moving forward to a referendum I get a message

00:01:07.000 in my office that a gentleman had phoned from Hamilton that I needed to talk to about Mr.

00:01:11.320 Carney's visit to the Stelco steel plant so I phoned him the other phone you know phoned this

00:01:16.560 person the other day and said, hey, what's going on? I see that you called. And he said, oh, I just

00:01:21.380 thought everybody in your movement should be aware. Mark Carney was doing a photo op tour of

00:01:27.880 our plant with the legacy media, including CTV. And when somebody asked him what he was going to

00:01:35.960 do in the face of Alberta independence, his response was that he was going to invoke the

00:01:40.080 Emergencies Act so you know and I chatted with this gentleman for you know probably 15 you know

00:01:46.040 15 minutes or more and you know went around and around the issue he seemed to be very credible he

00:01:51.240 was just very concerned that instead of dealing with things democratically you know as suggested

00:01:56.440 by the Supreme Court and the secession reference Parliament and the Clarity Act etc you know that 0.68

00:02:02.160 Mr. Carney being the anti-democratic you know Chinese communist sympathizer that he is would

00:02:09.160 simply um you know invoke the emergencies act um in the face of a successful referendum vote in

00:02:15.640 alberta so it doesn't surprise me that's who he is as a human being i mean i was speaking to um

00:02:21.560 my friend david creighton this morning creighton had a clip of him in kelowna you know saying that

00:02:26.360 he was going to invoke the emergencies act to get major projects passed so i guess the suggestion

00:02:32.840 was if anybody was to stand in the way of brookfield making money that mr carney would

00:02:37.800 think that that was a reason to invoke the Emergencies Act.
