I want to ask you, what do you think about the two parties' housing platforms and how can we
00:00:04.740
really distinguish them? Well, let me just talk about that proposal from Carney that you mentioned
00:00:10.240
there. First of all, folks, government is not the solution to homes, okay? Government is the
00:00:16.020
problem. If more government meant more homes, everyone in Canada would have seven homes by now,
00:00:21.540
right? Because the size, cost, and intervention of governments across Canada into the housing
00:00:26.160
market has gotten insane. Okay. So we don't need more government, uh, busy bodies. We need less
00:00:32.440
now on the tax side, uh, Candace. So you're right there. They're, you know, somewhat similar,
00:00:38.220
but I will say, um, on, on the home tax cuts, uh, edge to Mr. Polyev, right? So what Carney's
00:00:44.600
proposing is he, he wants to eliminate the sales tax. I believe the threshold is up to a million
00:00:49.720
dollars, but it's for first time home buyers. Now for Mr. Polyev, he increases the threshold.
00:00:55.500
So cut the sales tax off of homes up to about $1.3 million.
00:01:00.060
And that's for everyone, not just first-time homebuyers, right?
00:01:03.600
So look, edge to Mr. Poliev on that tax cut proposal.
00:01:10.720
because we talked about the home equity tax flirtations from the Trudeau government.
00:01:15.020
Mr. Poliev, not during this campaign, but he's been on the record.
00:01:18.740
So on the Canadian Taxpayers Podcast, I just asked Poliev point blank,
00:01:23.200
Would you remove that reporting requirement with the CRA and mr. Polyev said he would so there you go folks
