00:00:00.000 Despite what the Canadian media would have you to believe, Canada is home to many faith
00:00:10.120 communities of whom oppose abortion. Yet the majority of Canadians still have no idea that
00:00:16.460 Canada has zero abortion laws whatsoever. Many Canadians also face persecution for this very
00:00:23.360 belief. The children in the womb have rights, and amongst them their most fundamental right,
00:00:29.320 their right to life, and that abortion is wrong in any society in which it exists.
00:00:34.920 One recent example of this is that of Rafael Zaki. He was a former medical student at the
00:00:42.020 University of Manitoba's Max Rady College of Medicine. When Zaki espoused of his pro-life views,
00:00:48.880 he was challenged for them. He was targeted. And when asking to recant his views and then change
00:00:55.400 them, and he refused, he was kicked out of his university. Now, Zaki is a Coptic Christian who
00:01:03.540 fled with his parents from Egypt due to religious persecution, only to face the very discrimination
00:01:09.320 they fled here at home. Another recent example of such persecution stems out of Nunavut, where a former
00:01:18.640 cabinet minister was completely stripped of his entire ministerial portfolio for talking about Black Lives
00:01:26.400 Matter and Black babies being aborted. In a 31-word post on Facebook, the former cabinet minister stated,
00:01:33.680 and I quote,
00:01:34.680 all lives matter, just thinking aloud, the movement on BLM, or Black Lives Matter. I wonder how many Black
00:01:42.960 ladies go through abortion, and at what stage of the gestation. Are these not lives too? End of quote.
00:01:51.960 In the official government statement released after the minister's dismissal from his portfolio,
00:01:56.580 the government of Nunavut stated that this was about diversity, equality, and fairness for all.
00:02:04.300 Yet in the silencing and removal of this one dissenting pro-life voice, it was not only a slam
00:02:10.460 against pro-life citizens, but Canadian citizens in general. Now, seeing as abortion is the primary
00:02:18.080 subject in which I've been discussing thus far, many people say, well, what does the Bible really have
00:02:24.420 to say about abortion? Totally granted, it does not use modern terminology such as abortion, nor does
00:02:31.160 it use terminology such as sex trafficking. And yet it does still directly speak to these very issues.
00:02:38.340 As a pro-life Christian myself, I know that the Bible calls me to specifically speak up for those who
00:02:44.900 cannot speak for themselves, as well as rescue those being led away to death, to hold back those
00:02:51.280 staggering towards slaughter. Not only am I as a Christian supposed to speak up for the
00:02:57.940 vulnerable to be their advocates, but also to be the protector and defender of the vulnerable.
00:03:05.740 This includes both those born and pre-born. In both cases with Raphael Zaki, as well as with
00:03:13.360 the now former cabinet minister, neither was about equality, diversity, nor fairness. Both men were
00:03:23.480 asked to not only recant of their pro-life worldviews, but to change them. And in refusing to do so, they
00:03:29.980 were both arbitrarily removed from their positions. Both of their freedoms were completely disregarded in
00:03:35.940 what some deemed to be popular opinion. In a free society where values, opinions, and ideals are exchanged.
00:03:43.600 This lends to our collective innovation, diversification, but most importantly, it allows minority voices to be heard.
00:03:52.600 An excellent example of such freedoms being exercised was recently seen in British Columbia, where an American
00:03:59.400 organization put up advertisements calling for and advocating for the reduction of the population by people only having
00:04:07.560 one child. In opposition to this worldview, a conservative member of parliament crowdfunded, asking for money to put up bus
00:04:16.360 ads to put up a different worldview, which stated a Mother Teresa quote saying, how can there be too many children? That would be like
00:04:24.120 saying there are too many flowers. Two different worldviews freely exchanged. Whenever you see your fellow
00:04:31.240 citizens' freedoms under attack, even if you disagree with their worldview, if you do not stand up for their
00:04:37.800 freedoms, your freedoms, your values, your beliefs, your opinions, your worldviews may very well be under
