00:00:00.000 What is going on? Another MP has crossed the floor to the Liberals, bringing them one seat shy of a
00:00:06.100 majority. This is Conservative MP Marilyn Godew, and she's calling this an opportunity to build
00:00:12.020 the nation at speeds never seen before. However, people are not happy about this. We've seen in
00:00:18.300 the past how upset constituents get. Now this is crazy. Conservative MP Dean Allison responded on
00:00:24.920 X by quoting something MP Marilyn Gladue previously said about floor crossing.
00:00:30.260 Really, the whole point of being an MP is to represent your constituents. So if they're voting
00:00:35.160 you in under one platform for you to switch for whatever reasons, just seems to me to not be
00:00:41.680 representing what you're supposed to be there to represent. Yes, this is what she said. Now this is
00:00:48.480 the fifth time an MP has crossed the floor since Nova Scotia MP Chris Dantremont did last fall.
00:00:54.080 So this includes Toronto MP Michael Ma, Edmonton MP Matt Jenneru, and former NDP MP Lori Idlut.
00:01:00.980 So the Liberals now hold 171 seats, with 172 being the required number for a majority government.
00:01:08.580 What are your thoughts on Marilyn Gladue crossing the floor?
00:01:11.580 Whether you're a constituent or not, leave a comment and let us know.
