00:02:53.200 family. One of them being an international student, we just learned this week, who had been in Canada
00:02:57.960 for less than a month before allegedly perpetrating this heinous crime. So let's play this clip. It

00:03:08.760 In a double murder case say the motive was greed. Three men are accused of brutally killing an elderly
00:03:14.920 Abbotsford couple in their home. The courtroom was packed with family and friends of the seniors

00:03:27.040 are graphic. Those who knew Arnold and Joanne DeYoung say they were wonderful people.

00:04:31.020 first-degree murder. They've pleaded not guilty. Crown says Gurkaran Singh was in Canada on a student visa,

00:04:42.620 and violently confined the DeYoungs in separate bedrooms and then murdered them. Crown claims they
00:04:48.140 were all motivated by debt, financial pressure and greed. The prosecution also alleges the accused
00:04:53.980 stole Arnold's credit cards and checks. It's like a nightmare and it continues to be a nightmare. Crown

00:05:05.020 including the month before the murders. Meanwhile, the DeYoungs children say they are frustrated with
00:05:09.900 how long it's taken for the case to get to court, but they are hoping there will be justice. The

00:11:57.820 telling him to give millions of dollars started about two months before the shooting. Messages,
00:12:03.580 the same thing. If I don't pay them, so they can, they can shoot me. Another came afterwards.
00:12:11.260 The caller says next time, the bullets will be fired inside Dharmjit's home at his forehead.
00:12:17.580 And the caller says he's from the Lawrence Bishnoy gang. Lawrence Bishnoy has been in prison in India

00:12:46.380 a voice message too. They sent him a message saying they knew he moved to his brother's house,

00:15:28.060 allegedly drugged and kidnapped girls, young teenage girls, keeping them in his confined situation.
00:15:37.820 And the guy was let out on bail. The guy was let out on bail. Here is a news report describing this
00:15:43.980 unbelievable situation unfolding in Lethbridge, Alberta. On December 19th of 2025, police responded
00:15:50.300 to reports of a 14 year old girl being unlawfully confined inside an apartment along the 500 block
00:15:55.500 of 8th Street South. When police went beyond the front door, they discovered she wasn't the only
00:15:59.740 teenager being held captive. And following the execution of a search warrant, two additional
00:16:03.820 girls aged 15 and 16 were found inside the residence. According to police, the 14 year old girl was
00:16:08.940 drugged and repeatedly sexually assaulted by multiple men over three terrifying days. Any victims of these
00:16:15.260 type of things, okay is relative, right? These are incredibly traumatic incidents that have long-term
00:16:20.460 effects. And so we want to ensure that anyone, not just in this particular case, but any of the
00:16:26.300 victims that we're dealing with receive all available supports. Officers say the other two
00:16:30.620 girls were confined in the residence for several hours. Anytime these types of incidents happen, 0.91
00:16:35.580 it's concerning and public safety has remained our number one priority. And so making sure that these
00:16:41.580 incidents are investigated thoroughly and that we involve all the appropriate resources are paramount.

00:16:51.740 back to October. Officers say that investigation was still ongoing when Otoa was arrested last month.

00:17:01.180 to that investigation. Police say given their investigation and the evidence obtained,

00:17:14.860 unbelievable. I mean, the entire story is unbelievable. I have no idea if Skye Otoa is a Canadian or if he's
00:17:19.900 from another place. It's not stated in the piece. It's not clear to me whether he's Canadian or not.
00:17:25.580 But the idea that this man was arrested, held since mid-December, and then released on bail. He was
00:17:32.220 released on bail. Imagine allowing a person like that back out into the community. It is disgusting.

00:19:37.500 complete and total moral and societal decay. 50-year-old Attea was forcibly confining and offending
00:19:43.260 against three children. The 14-year-old was found inside in medical distress,
00:19:48.060 transported to the hospital, reported being forcibly confined for three days,
00:19:52.540 during which she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by Attea and other men, other men involved in this,
00:19:59.260 while being forced to consume drugs. Attea was released on bail after being charged with human
00:20:04.300 trafficking, human trafficking with a person under 18, sexual assault of a child under 16, sexual
00:20:09.020 interference, obtaining sexual services of a child for consideration, indecent exposure to a child
00:20:14.860 under 16, sexual exploitation or counsel of a child, and three counts of unlawful confinement. He has
00:20:22.060 such little regard for authority and the law that Attea was re-arrested for breaking his conditions
00:20:28.140 approximately half an hour after his release. Apparently he was released, he went right to the local
00:20:34.300 drug store, went to the perfume aisle, and what did he do? He started talking up some young teenager,
00:20:39.740 again, doing his thing, fortunately the police were watching him, and they arrested him again.
00:20:43.740 But this is totally insane, folks. These are the kinds of people that need to be locked away and
00:20:49.420 throw away the key. Mark Carney has to get serious about cleaning up our country if he wants to have any
00:20:55.180 chance of turning our country around. Our country is not in good shape, folks. We need to talk about it.
