00:00:00.000Hey everybody, it's Alexa Poza with Juno News and what I'm sharing with you today means a lot to me.
00:00:05.400I attended the Sean Foy Lettuce Worship event here in Edmonton, Alberta and it was an amazing
00:00:11.600experience. I was able to interview some people attending the event as well as protesters who
00:00:17.120were there because they labeled it as hate speech. I'm going to talk through some of these interviews
00:00:22.100with you guys as well as share some information about the event that I feel the mainstream media
00:00:26.520completely left out. Firstly, I'm wondering like why you guys are here and what you're protesting
00:00:31.100today? Well, we're here to say that we disagree with what's going on here. We don't agree with
00:00:36.820the negative attitude that some of these people are taking. What are some of the reasons why
00:00:43.020you guys have a problem with Sean Foy? I just explained that. He's dividing people up. Can you
00:00:51.760give like an example of maybe like when you fell? There are lots of homosexuals around here who are
00:00:57.220who are quite upset that they're being singled out. If someone were to walk up to me and say that
00:01:03.080my wife is shouldn't have the vote, I'd be quite annoyed. What's interesting and doesn't make sense
00:01:08.380to me is that no one is being left out. Sean said at the beginning of his event anyone is welcome to
00:01:13.700come join him, come pray with him and specifically mentioned anyone from the protester side is welcome
00:01:19.780to come over and join us and worship Jesus. No one is saying that his wife can't vote and women can't
00:01:27.020vote. If this were a Muslim or Sikh concert would you still be here protesting? If they were saying
00:01:33.000things like that I would be upset but they don't say things like that. This man does hate speech hence
00:01:38.520my sign. Got that? It's weird how you'll see people protest a Christian worship event but often that
00:01:44.200same energy isn't directed towards other religious groups that hold similar traditional values or even
00:01:50.720stricter values. Now protesting is fine but free speech works both ways and is it not Canadians right
00:01:56.580to religious freedoms to attend events just like Sean Foyt's? Now this next individual that I interviewed
00:02:02.240was solely there because Sean Foyt supports Trump and he even went as far to label him as homophobic for
00:02:09.080supporting Trump which is a very bold accusation to make. We are protesting uh Sean Foyt because uh
00:02:15.960he's not not only homophobic and transphobic but he actually supports um Donald Trump and the MAGA
00:02:21.560movement. Right and can you give one example where Sean did something that was homophobic? I'd say even
00:02:26.420even supporting Trump in and of itself that's homophobic just on that basis that alone
00:02:31.380nope you're done. And this last man didn't even know why he was there.
00:02:35.540You don't know what I'm saying. Go do your job. You can't even answer my question. Look I don't trust you people. I don't I don't I don't trust you people.
00:02:56.580I actually found them to be quite hostile. They were grabbing our mics. They were screaming and yelling.
00:03:01.300Now when I went to the worship side it was quite literally the opposite. Everyone was smiling,
00:03:07.140laughing, dancing, praying for one another. The woman I interviewed on that side made a really strong
00:03:12.180point. She said that most protesters come out of a place of pain and just need to experience
00:03:17.780genuine love. Obviously we see there are some protesters here today. What are your guys' thoughts on that?
00:03:23.620My thoughts are that sometimes we're carrying pain. Sometimes I've been hurt and I've been I've reacted
00:03:31.380in anger because people have hurt me and I feel like most protests even in my own life have come
00:03:38.100from a place of pain and so I see people that need love. They need they need a true encounter with love
00:03:45.540and kindness and gentleness. How would you guys describe the atmosphere of the event today? I feel like
00:03:51.460the grounds is so peaceful here in Edmonton and so to me it feels very peaceful. Now the vibes were so
00:03:57.540great that after my interviews I decided to actually stay and join the event. I prayed, danced, sung with
00:04:03.540people and it was really a breakthrough moment. I saw a lot of young individuals even younger than me
00:04:10.740a lot of teenagers were breaking down in tears. They were being prayed over and they were throwing you know
00:04:16.260their vapes, their nicotine, their dab pens up on the stage just breaking addictions. There are some
00:04:22.740individuals there who were suicidal, got prayed over and healed. Maybe you have vapes on you, marijuana, drugs,
00:04:30.900I don't know. Maybe you think that you have pills, something on you that is holding you back. I just want you to be
