Juno News - Kids are being seriously harmed by the lockdowns

Find out who are the holdouts, who still support restrictions on our children, who are those people out there who still earnestly believe that we need to lock down children, despite the mounting evidence that kids are being harmed, seriously harmed, by what we re doing to them right now?

00:00:00.000 who are those holdouts who still support restrictions on our children who are those 1.00

00:00:11.800 people out there who still earnestly it seems believe that we've got to lock down children

00:00:17.620 despite the fact almost every day now there are more reports coming out that tell us two things

00:00:23.020 one that kids are being harmed seriously harmed by what we're doing to them right now

00:00:29.320 and part two that we learn that coronavirus just not all that serious in children very serious in

00:00:36.000 high-risk persons elderly persons and so forth in kids it's just not pediatric experts top

00:00:41.340 pediatricians basically saying coronavirus less severe than the flu in children and rather than

00:00:47.580 acknowledge and celebrate and amplify and you know take that information and run with it to cobble

00:00:52.940 together better policies we almost deny it we hide from it we plug our ears when that's the information

00:00:58.740 we could be using to help make sure children do not suffer and yet we're going to see in the next

00:01:04.620 year two years three years five years what have you long after the vaccination programs are done

00:01:09.300 lockdowns are over all that kind of stuff we're still going to be seeing stories about harms to

00:01:14.560 children the sort of after effects of it for years to come and what is the excuse that the last holdouts

00:01:21.100 have right now almost a year and a half into all of this i gotta credit some voices out there who

00:01:26.760 pretty much from the beginning we're saying we cannot do this to kids top pediatric experts high

00:01:32.220 profile individuals saying no saying schools have to remain open children's activities have to happen

00:01:37.960 and so forth let's stop doing this to our kids let's stop scapegoating them as well all this psychological

00:01:44.360 drama of all right you're 16 years old it's natural for you to want to go out and explore the world go

00:01:49.500 gallivanting with your friends but don't do that don't do that because you are going to kill your

00:01:54.280 grandparents and we go first of all that's that's an extremely that's that's mind games to play with

00:02:00.860 them it's so psychologically abusive we also have not seen uh many reports of that actual chain of

00:02:07.140 events occurring this idea that oh well you know if we let the kids do this yes okay fine they're fine

00:02:12.480 but they may get it and then they may spread it to this person that person may get hospitalized and that

00:02:17.280 person may die and so forth maybe it's happened a couple times but you know what it's happened in the

00:02:22.320 past family gatherings a kid has the flu a number of years ago it gets passed on to someone we don't

00:02:27.220 play these mind games though because these these things have actually happened and you've got to say

00:02:32.280 you look at those scenarios and you go is that a good excuse though to basically make kids the

00:02:39.000 scapegoats make them shoulder all of the blame if you have those high risk vulnerable persons well maybe

00:02:44.020 should we just not devise systems where we allow the kids to go and live their lives and we protect

00:02:49.580 the most vulnerable people have put a whole lot of effort and energy into argument it's not possible

00:02:54.620 there's no way we can do that and so forth when we also know they never really tried and yet now

00:02:59.400 the story is really mounting the justification for some of the latest restrictions was of course

00:03:03.940 we've got to protect the hospitals from overflowing but now we learn that the children's hospital of

00:03:09.780 eastern ontario chio they are actually overflowing with mental health hospitalizations children and

00:03:17.360 teenagers dealing with overdoses suicide attempts and eating disorders is the big thing very serious

00:03:23.100 eating disorders that require hospitalizations you've got pediatric specialists in those hospitals

00:03:27.860 saying we have not seen anything like this in our entire careers in decades it's through the roof

00:03:33.020 other hospitals have said similar things previously and then chio is saying we're going to have to

00:03:37.260 actually redirect some of those youth patients and put them into beds in adult hospitals so we go well

00:03:42.560 hold on a second we said we have to go into a lockdown to protect the hospitals well now we've

00:03:47.800 got children's hospitals being overwhelmed because of the lockdown so if you bought that previous logic

00:03:53.780 shouldn't the logic now i guess be that you've immediately got to end restrictions on kids because

00:03:59.480 it's filling the hospitals it makes you wonder who are these last holdouts who support all of these

00:04:06.040 restrictions on kids and what more evidence do they need to hear what more do they want to see

00:04:13.080 to acknowledge guys we gotta stop doing this
