00:00:00.000 premier of the province, Daniel Smith, coming out and saying, no, we're going to appeal this
00:00:04.300 decision. What do you make of all of this? Well, I often tell clients in the context of really odd
00:00:09.660 court decisions, which I think this is one. I've often said, you know what? That decision is so
00:00:15.640 bad, it's good. And that's the category that I put that decision in. I think we're up to ground
00:00:21.580 16 or 17 for legitimate, hardcore grounds of appeal. There's just so many errors in this
00:00:28.220 decision, you know, that I can't imagine that the court of appeal, you know, is, you know,
00:00:33.640 isn't going to have a pretty easy time overturning it. Right. So, you know, so we're working away
00:00:38.340 at that. Eva Chipiak and I are presently drafting a notice of appeal. You know, we have to hope to
00:00:42.920 have a notice of appeal filed by tomorrow, you know, or Monday. We hope to have an application
00:00:49.220 for a stay of this decision filed at the court of appeal by no later than Monday afternoon.
00:00:54.360 um you know so we're just we're working forward but the for us though the fun thing about it is
00:00:59.160 this decision actually says that um it's perfectly legal for danielle smith to call our question
00:01:05.220 without a petition and i think what that does is it puts the ball politically firmly uh you know
00:01:10.900 firmly in danielle's court um and it leaves her i think with what amounts to an existential 0.81
00:01:15.540 question with regard to her premiership and with regard to uh um you know with regard to her
00:01:21.580 continued leadership of the ucp well we can because i mean 301 620 people signed that petition
00:01:27.260 and i can tell you that they weren't supporters of mr nenshi right
