00:00:32.000 They want the school to do something and they want this teacher gone.
00:00:35.000 When parents and local residents wrote to this school who took issue with this teacher,
00:00:39.000 the school responded by defending this teacher
00:00:42.000 and the school board responded by defending this teacher.
00:00:44.000 They are not interested in listening to what the local residents and parents have to say.
00:00:49.000 I caught up with parents and local residents of the school to ask them what they think about what's going on here
00:00:54.000 and why they think this is happening and why it's allowed at public school.

00:01:12.000 But I can tell you not one single child, boy or girl, is comfortable around these teachers.

00:01:21.000 I just don't want the system which is failing the children.

00:01:29.000 I want to have a limit because he's being protected.

00:01:35.000 Because if this is in this school, what's going to be here could be next in my daughter's school.

00:01:46.000 So I think it's disgusting, personally, as the sign says.
00:01:49.000 Over the course of many years, there's been a lot of students that have actually been kicked off sports teams, kicked out of school.
00:01:54.000 They've lost scholarships simply for how they wear their hair.
00:01:57.000 There's been students that aren't allowed to go to prom or kicked out of prom because of the type of dresses or the attire that they wear to school.
00:02:04.000 If it's a heat wave, a student can't go to school wearing a certain type of shorts or a shirt because it's deemed inappropriate and distracting.
00:02:13.000 My thing with this whole situation is it's not about transophobia.
00:02:16.000 It's about the fact that if this person did not have a mind as a predator, they would not wake up one day and decide they were going to come to a system where they are teaching underage children and decide they want to look like this.
00:02:27.000 I think that what we've seen here is a failure to serve the people.
00:02:32.000 What we have is a failure in leadership at all levels, from municipal, at the school board levels, all the way up to Trudeau, condoning perversion and what could be considered pedophilia or senses of it.

00:02:52.000 The children here feel uncomfortable.
00:02:54.000 The parents do.
00:02:55.000 And we're supposed to protect our children.
00:02:58.000 And I feel we're not.
00:02:59.000 So as a local parent and mother of three children, two high school students, I am terrified.

00:03:08.000 We all know this is inappropriate.
00:03:11.000 We don't have to make more discussion about it.
00:03:14.000 What is absurd is that actually we as parents, we have to protest.
00:03:18.000 We have to protest to have this teacher be gone from the school.
00:03:22.000 Like again, as many parents said, this is not against gay, lesbian, transgender people.
00:03:28.000 This has nothing to do with LGBTQ rights.
00:03:31.000 This is just purely inappropriate.

00:03:34.000 We all have to have limits, right?

00:03:38.000 There are many standards for the students, for how the students should behave, how the parents

00:03:44.000 But there are no standards for the people that are directly dealing with our students every

00:03:51.000 And I think the children are not the most important part of our society anymore, sadly.

00:04:04.000 Unsurprisingly, Canadian legacy media have been silent about this story.

00:04:10.000 But the rest of the world have made an absolute meal of this story.
