Juno News - Pro-Palestine activist calls Hamas Palestine’s “white blood cells”

00:00:00.000 I'm trying to get your side of the story.

00:00:01.840 You need to go out.

00:00:02.820 Okay.

00:00:03.540 If you want to come over here and have something to say, at least be educated on what you're

00:00:07.340 speaking about.

00:00:07.980 And show your faces!

00:00:08.820 I mean, we had walkers from the Walk for Israel block off view from the anti-Zionist protesters.

00:00:16.680 Some of the signs we saw on the other side, there was a flag that depicted, it looked

00:00:21.980 like a caricature of a Jewish person.

00:00:24.500 They had signs that said, Israel doesn't have the right to exist. 0.63

00:00:28.360 and they chanted for Jews in Canada to go back home to Europe.

00:00:32.940 That's usually a chant talking about Israelis leaving Israel and going to Europe,

00:00:38.760 but it's ironic that they're saying it to Jews in Canada.

00:00:42.660 We talked to some impassioned people who yelled,

00:00:46.300 Am Yisrael Ha'ai, meaning the people of Israel live.

00:00:49.320 We're going to keep talking to people at the walk

00:00:53.000 and maybe go to the festival-like environment afterwards

00:00:56.180 where there'll be music and fun and see who we can talk to?

00:00:59.420 Well, it's very simple. 1.00

00:01:00.780 The enemies of the Jewish people are the enemies of Western civilization, 1.00

00:01:04.020 and we're here to show them that they are not alone, 0.99

00:01:06.780 that there's a silent majority in this country that stands with them,

00:01:10.160 walks with them, and will continue to do so until it's necessary.

00:01:14.040 I wonder if I can get your response.

00:01:15.880 There was some signs over there.

00:01:17.720 There was a flag that seemed to be like a caricature of a Jew.

00:01:20.460 They were telling Jews to go back to Europe in Canada.

00:01:24.100 What do you make of all that? 1.00

00:01:25.180 Well, I love it. 0.99

00:01:26.180 They tell them to go back to Europe, and then when they're in Europe, they tell them to go back to the Middle East. 0.97

00:01:30.200 So which is it? 0.97

00:01:31.540 It's all totally self-contradictory, and you know what?

00:01:34.380 I actually relish it.

00:01:35.800 I love the hatred.

00:01:37.280 Hatred points upwards.

00:01:38.940 It is a sign of righteousness, and it is natural that our enemies hate us.

00:01:43.240 I love hatred for Western civilization.

00:01:45.600 It tells me we're doing something right.

00:01:46.920 There were some problematic signs that we saw at the walk, but first off, I want to talk about the walk itself.

00:01:53.620 tens of thousands of Torontonians of all ethnicities, of all religious creeds coming

00:01:59.760 together to support the state of Israel and to support the Jewish people in their right to exist

00:02:05.760 in their ancestral homeland. What we saw though was individuals who were here to incite and who

00:02:12.560 were here to intimidate. We saw flags displaying anti-Semitic memes. We saw flags and placards

00:02:19.860 which said that Israel doesn't have a right to exist. This is anti-Semitism. When you deny the

00:02:26.300 only Jewish state its right to exist, that is anti-Semitic. It's also a, can be seen as a call 0.75

00:02:32.420 for mass violence. Anything that calls for the eradication of an entire nation state

00:02:37.080 would inherently be calling for the eradication of their entire people. We saw protesters exit

00:02:43.280 the designated protest zone to get into the face of peaceful walkers to intimidate, to incite. We

00:02:50.580 heard chants of, go back to Europe. This is anti-Semitism. This should never have been

00:02:56.880 tolerated on our streets today. We did not see timely enforcement when there were incidents.

00:03:03.360 Those who were promoting anti-Semitic conspiracy theories should have been dealt with immediately.

00:03:08.220 we did see a few arrests, but en masse we needed those who were not playing by the rules,

00:03:14.700 those who were not following the instructions of police when they began to disseminate hate,

00:03:19.320 when they began to incite and to intimidate, to be dealt with immediately. And hopefully this

00:03:23.080 will be a learning experience for the TPS because it put a blemish on what was otherwise an amazing

00:03:28.240 and a powerful day. Thousands of Iranians today came to walk with Israel in Toronto to show their

00:03:35.780 support with their Jewish brothers and sisters to stand against the wave of

00:03:40.460 anti-semitism and jihadism in this beautiful city. We were peacefully

00:03:46.100 marching thousands of people. Always when it comes to protecting Jewish 0.99

00:03:51.020 community, Toronto police failed and you can see that at that corner there is a

00:03:56.000 tension. They let the jihadist terrorist sympathizer, IRGC supporters, Hamas 0.91

00:04:01.280 supporters came to bully jewish community but these times we iranians we don't let anyone

00:04:10.800 bully us we have sued against them and we encourage toronto police to enforce the law

00:04:18.720 we chanted irgc terrorists kick them out irgc terrorists kick them out and finally one of the

00:04:27.280 the lady who covered her face with the IRGC flag, with the regime flag, and she aggressively

00:04:36.740 comes to the Jewish crowd, Iranian crowd, and once in a while, finally, Toronto police

00:04:45.060 enforced the law and arrested her.

00:04:47.340 I don't know exactly what to charge.

00:04:48.920 So do you support Hamas?

00:04:52.440 hamas is the immune system of the body that is called palestine they are a product of the body

00:05:00.760 called palestine when a virus and the cancer cells start encroaching in your body the immune system

00:05:08.600 reacts there are white cells there are skin cells skin cells don't work in defense and don't work

00:05:15.320 in immune system but the white cells are still part of your body they have a function they will

00:05:23.720 cause you fever while they are fighting the viruses and the cancer and caution in your liver so

00:05:32.360 do you are you do you condemn your you your immune system when it is fighting a cancer

00:05:39.400 you don't as a jewish person why why are you against zionism because okay we we can we can't

00:05:47.160 mix this thing together jesus and zionism so as a jewish person you have to follow god's name

00:05:54.360 so we can mix it so if you mix it you have this question but if you divide it you look at the 0.96

00:06:00.360 the idiot they're not dressed well and the only thing they have is the the the the star of david 0.97

00:06:07.480 that they stole from the religion so they're not real jews so why are against zionists is not a 1.00

00:06:14.840 question how could be they are not following judaism they're not following god's name they're 0.56

00:06:19.960 doing what they want you know like i don't know as much as you i'm sure but wasn't like israel was

00:06:27.000 given to to the jewish people uh do you do not think that uh jews have a right to return to that

00:06:32.840 Israel is giving for the Jewish people with conditions.

00:06:36.840 The conditions ended in a certain time.

00:06:41.840 They were really Jewish. 0.99

00:06:43.840 They were good, but they didn't have the real condition to follow their job. 0.84

00:06:50.840 So God said, you have to go in exile, go away.

00:06:54.840 And when will be the time that God will run and will live very fast? 0.98

00:07:01.840 shem will kill this kick out all the bad people clean this field clean his land 0.99

00:07:08.540 for all the bad people and all the good people who behave who did their job good 0.99

00:07:14.180 doesn't mean the palestinians really Jews are the guy who will be living there 0.83

00:07:21.520 praying for God but the palestinians will be able to be there if they did their job

00:07:26.060 good follow God's name nobody will be killed nobody will need the old guns and

00:07:31.400 swords and bad things it will end will be a shine and light for everybody so your sign says israel

00:07:38.920 has no right to exist no it does not have to right can you explain that what right israel has to be

00:07:46.680 existed what you tell me what right there is no right the land has been stolen 0.94

00:07:51.480 he's been massacring people he's been done genocide and he's still on it every year

00:08:02.880 try to grab more land from neighbor country and so because of those and because of the genocide

00:08:14.480 that he did in Gaza is not a legitimate country, is not a country, is an occupied land that

00:08:24.240 the Western media...

00:08:27.240 Sorry, are you a journalist?

00:08:29.240 What is your budget?

00:08:30.240 What is your budget?

00:08:31.240 What is your budget?

00:08:32.240 What is your budget?

00:08:33.240 What is your budget?

00:08:34.240 Sorry, I'm doing an interview right now.

00:08:35.240 I am talking with you also, okay?

00:08:36.240 What do you...

00:08:37.240 So you want a card?

00:08:38.240 What are you asking?

00:08:39.240 What are you asking?

00:08:40.240 Do you have ID as a journalist or no?

00:08:42.240 i don't need one in canada i know i'm the zionist i'm trying to get can you bring

00:08:50.480 i'm a journalist i'm just trying to get your side of the story

00:09:01.200 i was just trying to get your side of the story here right

00:09:03.520 so you don't want to talk i'm trying to get i'm trying to get your side of the story

00:09:12.720 you need to go out okay

00:09:14.520 i'm trying to not allowed to be here just like we're not allowed to be there

00:09:21.240 i'm trying to get i'm a journalist yes i'm getting both sides of the story

00:09:26.160 no you're not a journalist all journalists have to have a side 1.00

00:09:29.180 If you're unbiased, you're not a fucking human being. 0.98

00:09:37.600 If I'm unbiased, I'm not a human being? 1.00

00:09:39.720 If I'm unbiased, I'm not a human being?

00:09:41.500 I didn't say I'm biased.

00:09:45.080 Okay.

00:09:45.620 So I just got bullied out of the pro-jihad side there.

00:09:51.160 I tried to ask.

00:09:52.340 I was just in the middle of an interview with a gentleman who says Israel has no right to exist.

00:09:56.380 I didn't get him get the opportunity to ask him what other state in the world does he believes doesn't have a right to exist.

00:10:04.560 I thought that might have I got might have gotten a really good answer from that. 0.65

00:10:09.700 I also didn't ask get to ask him about what would necessitate a Jewish state not existing as they're pretty entrenched. 0.82

00:10:19.240 It would be you would need mass murder of Jewish people in Israel to get rid of the Jewish state at this point.

00:10:25.820 I didn't get to ask him that. I got bullied. That's okay. 0.99

00:10:31.000 But we're going to continue to talk with the more friendly people on the Israeli side.

00:10:36.140 We have, of course, Western values, freedom of speech and all that.

00:10:39.700 But where does it stop? Where does it begin? Where does it stop?

00:10:42.900 If people here are spreading falsehoods, creating incitement, spreading lies, telling Jews to go back to Europe,

00:10:48.680 I mean, is that a protection that we should allow?

00:10:51.360 So that's a question for the government. That's a question for the lawyers.

00:10:55.460 but it's it's wrong and we shouldn't be allowing this kind of thing and thank you for recognizing

00:11:00.740 that honestly they're they're commentaries and they just make us stronger they they don't really

00:11:06.980 understand what it's like to be like a part of a community and i just i just love it they you know

00:11:12.580 i i don't want to comment on it but i'm just saying that just creates all of this you know

00:11:17.860 you guys have these pride flags um what do you think about people who might identify with the

00:11:23.620 the LGBT community, but they'll be standing on that other side holding Islamic regime flags and

00:11:29.920 you know, what do you think about that? I think they're uneducated. I think it's basically like 1.00

00:11:35.400 a suicide mission. I really don't think they understand the implications of what they're doing

00:11:41.460 and how so many LGBTQ people struggle in the Middle East. That's suddenly just being ignored.

00:11:48.040 I really can't answer that question because I've been trying to answer that for three years.

00:11:53.620 It doesn't make sense to me.

00:11:55.860 I couldn't imagine being on that side.

00:11:58.980 I'd rather be right here.

00:12:01.060 So your sign, you have Benjamin Netanyahu, Raza Pahlavi, and Donald Trump.

00:12:08.200 What do you think about Canada not really taking a stand?

00:12:11.940 Why is Mark Carney not on that poster?

00:12:15.740 I'm not sure what is he thinking.

00:12:18.020 because we have so many of this regime like people of regime in Canada they don't do anything

00:12:28.840 about it that's why his picture is not here we need to see action after action after he does 0.64

00:12:36.280 something maybe his picture is going to go into it too you know that Canada is one of the worst

00:12:41.940 place for jewish community but uh the real answer to those jihadists the real answer to those uh

00:12:50.020 terrorist sympathizer is a courage okay we need to stand on our ground we need to stand up for

00:12:56.820 canada and uh today is jews tomorrow is christian the day after that is iranian community we should 0.65

00:13:03.780 not let those uh terrorists the other side of the street please show them we should not them yeah we

00:13:10.100 We should not harass the Jewish community.

00:13:14.800 We learn a lesson from the history.

00:13:17.640 First they go after Jew, then they come after me and you.

00:13:21.380 Never again is now. 0.99

00:13:22.480 It's about wrapping up here, the walk with Israel. 0.52

00:13:26.120 Last year there was 56,000.

00:13:27.760 I heard one person say there was probably about the same this year.

00:13:31.360 We spoke to the pro-jihad, anti-Israel crowd.

00:13:35.440 Got to talk to some of the, even a Jewish person who is against Israel over there. 0.82

00:13:41.420 Now, of course, we have the Iranians who are out in full force today with their Shah flags, 0.79

00:13:48.240 their pre-revolution Iranian flags, Israel flags.

00:13:52.820 They're yelling, I'm Israel, hi, the people of Israel live.

00:13:56.080 They're yelling, Javid Shah, long live King Razapalavi.

00:14:00.080 And yeah, we spoke to some weird, some odd character there.

00:14:04.180 He had a full winter jacket on.

00:14:05.900 I'm pretty hot in this shirt.

00:14:07.800 Got a motorcycle helmet on. 0.97

00:14:10.320 And he implied that all the Jewish people are Satan and that he was pro-Hamas. 0.98

00:14:17.860 And he said Hamas was a white blood cell attacking the cancer that is the Israeli people. 0.94

00:14:24.900 So interesting characters on the anti-Israel side there.

00:14:28.520 But this has been Clayton Demain with Juno News reporting at Bathurst and Shepherd in Toronto for the Walk with Israel.
