00:00:00.000 Hey there, I've got a bit of a personal story, personal narrative for you today.
00:00:09.640 One that I think a lot of people in Canada can probably relate to if their province has ever had lockdown restrictions where non-essential items are roped off in the aisles for the stores, well, the few remaining stores that are allowed to be open.
00:00:24.320 I remember when Manitoba did it, I thought, oh boy, well, at least Ontario is never doing that.
00:00:28.500 And oh, look, we are.
00:00:29.760 We're currently in that situation where most stores are shut down, except a few are allowed to remain open, like grocery stores.
00:00:36.720 And I'm in a parking lot right now.
00:00:38.160 I'm in the parking lot of a big box grocery retail outlet that usually would have also a book section and a clothing section, but those are roped off right now.
00:00:47.900 Well, I find myself in a predicament where I need a new pair of sweatpants.
00:00:52.060 And like a lot of people, I don't like doing online clothes shopping.
00:00:55.740 I'm fine for buying many things online.
00:00:57.380 I don't like buying clothes online.
00:00:59.760 I think that's a very reasonable position to hold.
00:01:02.060 I think a lot of people feel the same way.
00:01:04.000 Some people don't mind.
00:01:04.800 They like getting them.
00:01:05.500 And if they don't fit, they return them and so forth.
00:01:07.060 Too much of a rigmarole.
00:01:08.420 I like to see them.
00:01:09.380 I like to be able to touch them and so forth.
00:01:11.840 So I'd like to buy some sweatpants.
00:01:14.440 And, you know, the ones I have, like they're getting threadbare.
00:01:16.860 You can't go for a run outside in those.
00:01:18.620 It's just not a good situation anymore.
00:01:21.220 So, you know, I kind of need to get them.
00:01:22.940 But I can't because I saw them.
00:01:25.380 I saw the product.
00:01:26.580 But it is roped off.
00:01:28.300 Meanwhile, you know what I did get?
00:01:29.360 Let me show you what I got.
00:01:30.760 You can hear the crinkle.
00:01:32.100 Based on the crinkle, you know what this is.
00:01:33.860 I got myself a bag of chips.
00:01:36.180 And this is, this is a big bag of chips.
00:01:39.320 It is a jumbo bag of chips.
00:01:41.500 I might be doing some weightlifting with these chips because, you know, the gyms are also
00:01:44.880 closed in Ontario.
00:01:45.780 So get your fitness in where you can.
00:01:47.640 That's how heavy that bag of chips is.
00:01:49.720 Good deal as well.
00:01:50.520 Good price on those chips.
00:01:52.060 But here's the thing.
00:01:53.760 Do I need those chips?
00:01:56.000 I know we've heard that the majority of persons who are in hospital and ICUs with coronavirus
00:02:01.580 doctors have said that most of them, they actually have various metabolic illnesses and so forth
00:02:07.080 and dealing with obesity and so forth.
00:02:09.380 Big bag of chips.
00:02:10.960 Not really a good thing to be buying a jumbo size like that.
00:02:14.900 Now, of course, whatever, if you, whatever you want to eat, you want to eat.
00:02:17.340 I'm not judging you for those choices, but it's just, and clearly I bought the big bag
00:02:21.060 of chips as well, and I will enjoy them pretty much all to myself.
00:02:24.080 But it's also like, hold on a second.
00:02:26.460 Fury needs sweatpants. 0.65
00:02:27.760 They're usually sold in the store.
00:02:28.900 They're right there.
00:02:29.260 You can see them against the law, against the law to buy the sweatpants, the big bag
00:02:35.080 of chips.
00:02:35.600 You can get those.
00:02:36.420 Now, there were ice cream sandwich bars that were on sale, and I told myself, no, no, do
00:02:40.020 not buy those.
00:02:40.560 And I did not buy them.
00:02:41.880 But still, what's this all about?
00:02:44.280 This is my one story that happened to me just today where it's like there's a product
00:02:48.000 that is kind of essential to me.
00:02:50.160 Human beings need clothes.
00:02:51.780 Nope.
00:02:52.160 Can't buy it.
00:02:52.680 Can't buy it.
00:02:53.540 Chips, junk food, not the best for you.
00:02:56.100 Yes, you can buy it.
00:02:57.400 One is essential.
00:02:58.140 One is non-essential.
00:02:59.660 I'm sure you've had a similar story as well throughout your shopping, leading you to believe
00:03:04.600 once again to question, are all these rules totally making sense?
00:03:10.620 Do they all add up?
00:03:11.780 Or maybe just some of them, dare I humbly suggest, some of them maybe don't add up.
00:03:16.000 All right.
