Juno News - The elites belittle the Truckers For Freedom Convoy and Freedom Rallies

00:00:00.000 Thousands of Canadians are out to protest vaccine mandates and forced vaccines, but of course the

00:00:05.980 media and our politicians continue to belittle them and ignore them. I'm Candice Malcolm and

00:00:10.320 this is the Candice Malcolm Show. Hi everyone, thank you so much for tuning in. Happy Monday.

00:00:19.780 I am back in studio now and I feel like it's sort of a game of Survivor at my house right now. I am

00:00:25.280 the last person in my household to not have COVID. So my husband came down with COVID over the weekend

00:00:31.000 and it's not pleasant for sure. It is an unpleasant illness. He's got a sore throat, the same as what

00:00:38.940 my mother was complaining about last week. But, you know, I'm sort of happy that they're getting

00:00:43.400 Omicron. They're going to have the antibodies against it and hopefully the more people that get

00:00:47.880 this COVID, get this strain and can get through it, the closer we will be to just having an end of the

00:00:52.880 pandemic. I think we're all just very, very sick of it. And you could see this happening as Canadians 1.00

00:00:57.260 were spilling into the streets over the weekend to protest in favor of freedoms. Huge, huge freedom

00:01:03.120 rallies across the country. This, of course, should have been the number one news story every time you

00:01:08.500 turned on a television or any newspaper you picked up, anytime you turned on the radio. But instead,

00:01:13.480 you know, of course, we just barely saw anyone even noticing it. Very little coverage of these

00:01:19.800 massive protests across the country. So we've got some clips. There were people out in Toronto,

00:01:24.900 in Vancouver, in Montreal, Canadians gathered by the thousands in various cities on Sunday

00:01:30.340 to voice their opposition to lockdown measures, including vaccine passports and mandatory COVID-19

00:01:35.900 shots. By the way, the government in Quebec is coming out today announcing at three o'clock

00:01:40.700 that they are going to unroll some kind of plan to do a forced shot, a forced vaccine for those who

00:01:46.460 have held out. That is something that every Canadian should be watching and should be concerned

00:01:50.740 about and frankly, should be speaking out about because that is absolutely insane. Here is what

00:01:55.500 these freedom rallies looked like. And by the way, this was part of a worldwide effort. These rallies

00:01:59.500 took place all over the world. And they were basically in every city in Canada. We've got footage

00:02:04.920 from Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal. They were also in Calgary. They were in Fredericton. They were

00:02:08.460 gathering anywhere there were people. There were people gathering and protesting against the insane

00:02:13.940 government overreach and reaction to COVID-19. So here's what that looked like.

00:02:17.540 Even the vaccinated are tired of your lies, your double talk and moving targets for freedom.

00:02:46.700 the people are calling for your resignation and in addition to protesters out on the street we saw

00:02:53.260 the freedom convoy the truckers in canada organizing and starting their descent they're

00:02:58.860 driving across the country from vancouver all the way to ottawa to demand an end to the vaccine

00:03:04.060 mandate so the freedom convoy 2022 protest comes after ottawa enacted a policy requiring truck

00:03:09.660 drivers to show their proof of covid19 shots at the border or they will be turned away in an email

00:03:15.740 shown to true north convoy organizers say truckers will begin a slow roll from multiple border points

00:03:21.340 on january 23rd and head towards ottawa they hope that slowing down major transportation routes will

00:03:26.060 garner attention for their cause and they were we have clips from all over so they start like i said

00:03:31.420 we started in vancouver they are making their way all the way across the the country so we have

00:03:36.700 clips from vancouver langley smithers bc surrey some from uh the other side of the country amherst nova

00:03:42.780 scotia brooks alberta chilliwack and abbessford british columbia lots of images of truckers

00:03:48.700 showing their discontent and their displeasure with these heavy-handed vaccine mandates so here's

00:03:52.540 what that looks like

00:04:03.100 安倍 cú серio 0.58

00:04:07.140 Now when he is dead

00:04:12.040 It is the name of the people

00:04:16.420 It is the name of the people

00:04:20.840 It is the name of Chinese

00:04:24.260 It is the name of Yara 0.94

00:04:27.100 Okay, I will see my death

00:04:31.920 and no surprise what the media is picking up on is the opposite so they here's a story over in

00:04:53.340 post media about the canadian trucking alliance condemning protests by unvaccinated truckers so

00:04:58.300 they found a group who were more than happy to have forced vaccines and they were condemning those

00:05:03.220 who didn't want them so the canadian trucking alliance issued a statement on saturday saying

00:05:07.540 it does not support and strongly disapproves of protests staged on public roads highways and

00:05:12.800 bridges alliance president says that both canada and the united states have cross-border vaccination

00:05:17.240 rules in place and truckers must adapt and comply so no sympathy for the individual truckers who

00:05:23.200 have their own moral concerns and don't want to get vaccinated instead they are jumping on the side

00:05:28.600 of the fancy people of the politicians and the elites in the media saying no they can't do this

00:05:33.760 this is a bad idea and the pylon continues against these truck drivers because they raised over three

00:05:39.060 million dollars through a gofundme campaign so so canadians reaching into their pockets supporting

00:05:44.600 these truckers and their freedom and their individual say whether or not they want to have something

00:05:49.340 injected in their body they raised three million bucks uh through the site gofundme and gofundme

00:05:53.520 says that they're going to hold the funds until the organizers are able to provide details on how the

00:05:58.820 funds will be distributed of course gofundme is just like every other left-wing tech organization

00:06:04.300 meddling in where they shouldn't uh shutting down free speech and in this case donations that people

00:06:09.920 are giving out of their own pocket to a organization or to to a cause and for some reason gofundme is

00:06:16.540 getting in the middle despicable lots of negative takes on twitter unsurprisingly gerald butts justin

00:06:21.720 trudeau's best friend and advisor says this an alberta separatist has collected almost a million bucks

00:06:27.140 on gofundme to support trucker protests where will the money go so see how see how this sort of wagging

00:06:33.320 the dog takes place uh gerald butts is the puppet master he puts something out on twitter and then

00:06:38.240 lo and behold that's what the media pick up on even gofundme uh follows up on that by saying that

00:06:42.920 they're going to hold hold the funding uh another really terrible take from a trudeau staffer here

00:06:47.520 so here's a guy called uh alex wallenstead who uh if you recall he used to be justin trudeau's uh

00:06:54.000 comms person a press secretary he was the one that lied to the media about uh saying that trudeau was

00:06:58.960 not in tofino when of course he was then he got shuffled out now he's working for some other liberal

00:07:03.680 politician and he tweets this just terrible this is the third grocery store i've been to this week

00:07:08.680 that's been empty where are the pumpkins and he shows a picture of a very well stocked grocery

00:07:13.560 store looks like a very fancy probably downtown ottawa uh organic grocery store there no problem

00:07:19.020 for him and so he he he just likes to denigrate uh anyone complaining about it now of course we have

00:07:24.820 anyone who's been to a grocery store anyone who's even just been on social media has seen

00:07:28.420 lots and lots of pictures that look like this here's a couple of examples you can see on the screen for

00:07:32.400 those watching lots of people tweeting empty grocery stores empty shelves and grocery stores we've seen it

00:07:38.100 uh you know throughout the pandemic but particularly bad in the last few weeks here and last few days

00:07:44.200 especially so this one guy says oh look my grocery store in ottawa's looks just perfectly fine and

00:07:50.060 basically mocking anyone who has been dealing with the reality that the that the supply chain is

00:07:57.300 completely in a mess in ruins and a lot of stuff a lot of shelves are empty a lot of people aren't able

00:08:02.760 to get the supplies that they need he eventually deleted this tweet because he was so ashamed by

00:08:07.420 uh accidentally telling the world uh his own elitist opinion basically just everybody shut up

00:08:12.880 ignore the fact that my government is contributing to this everything's just fine look at my fancy

00:08:17.200 grocery store everything's looking good uh the reality is that when you force truckers when you

00:08:22.640 force people who are in the middle of the supply chain to comply to an unethical rule that they

00:08:27.580 don't want to they don't want to get vaccinated not all of them want to get vaccinated some of them

00:08:30.960 have recovered from covid they had the antibodies some of them might have had an adverse reaction we

00:08:34.500 don't know exactly why they don't want to get vaccinated but that's their choice we live in a

00:08:37.720 free society that's their choice they're truckers they're not really interacting with the public

00:08:41.940 they're sitting in a truck by themselves for the most part and maybe when they're interacting with

00:08:46.560 people they're outside where covid doesn't spread as much so they have a very valid reason not to get

00:08:51.040 vaccinated trudeau's putting in this heavy-handed policy forcing them to get vaccinated his staff are

00:08:56.460 mocking people who are complaining about the supply chain disruptions that are happening

00:09:00.500 and look here here's a story in global explaining exactly why this is a problem canadians may see

00:09:06.160 less food in grocery stores but experts say it's no need to panic of course global throws in the

00:09:10.800 experts what the experts say but the important takeaway from this piece here is that the canadian

00:09:15.400 trucking alliance estimates that as many as 32 000 canadian and american cross-border truckers

00:09:21.140 may be taken off the roads due to the mandates that represents 20 of the 160 000 truckers total

00:09:28.320 and that's in addition to nearly 23 000 drivers the industry was short before the mandate so you have

00:09:33.940 an industry where not a lot of people want to work it's a tough tough job by yourself for long long

00:09:39.000 hours and on on roads often dangerous conditions trying to meet deadlines it's a tough tough job and

00:09:44.580 on top of that you're putting in this mandate that shouldn't even affect them you know you could have

00:09:49.640 a conversation about requiring people at hospitals that are engaging with vulnerable people about about

00:09:56.020 making sure that they're vaccinated making sure maybe teachers are vaccinated who keep the schools

00:09:59.520 open making sure that public facing people get vaccinated but but a trucker is not a public yeah

00:10:05.140 he's sure he's doing cross-border transportation but he's in a truck by himself so the idea that you

00:10:10.280 would force these people to get and it doesn't even make sense the science isn't even there you're

00:10:14.800 sitting he's sitting in a truck by himself and you're forcing an already an industry that's already

00:10:20.140 has shortages and and has issues you're artificially making it 20 percent fewer employees there so so 1.00

00:10:27.440 way to go justin trudeau and your idiotic staffers mocking this whole situation meanwhile you're the 0.99

00:10:33.280 ones that are causing it now that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the horrible media 1.00

00:10:38.680 takes so aside from usually ignoring the issue ignoring the big protests ignoring the trucker convoys

00:10:43.860 this time the media is sort of piling on is talking about how it's a bad strategy it's a bad strategy

00:10:49.380 that these truckers are are protesting against the vaccine mandate so here's the ctv story

00:10:54.560 truckers should have been more prepared for the vaccine mandate experts say so they speak to someone

00:10:59.700 who's a professor of the school of public administration at dalhousie university questioning

00:11:04.400 the wisdom of the truckers lobbying strategy given how firmly prime minister justin trudeau has staked

00:11:10.260 out his position in favor of vaccine mandates during last year's federal election trudeau really drilled in

00:11:15.700 on putting the pressure on for vaccines this professor said if some companies are making an

00:11:21.380 effort and others aren't i don't get it it's another thing again if companies are really resisting it

00:11:26.740 as though the government doesn't have the right to do this so she's basically just saying that this is

00:11:31.140 a bad issue this is a bad issue for truckers they should just really find a different issue because

00:11:34.500 trudeau is so passionate about it so there's no point in even fighting it and obviously the government

00:11:39.300 has the right to force people to inject something that they oppose to into their bodies that's basically what 0.57

00:11:44.420 she's just saying like what what what a dumb issue uh really really bad take and in the same story 0.81

00:11:49.540 we've got another bad take this is an individual called andrew steel who's a vice president of 0.98

00:11:53.700 consulting at strategy corp so basically just a lobbyist and they said that polls show that public

00:11:59.300 opinion is overwhelmingly in favor of strong vaccine requirements for essential workers and that

00:12:04.340 companies and trade groups need to read the room if you're making a public relations or government

00:12:10.100 strategy you should align with public opinion governments especially in a high stakes massive

00:12:15.060 crisis like this don't run in the face of public opinion and do the opposite so again basically just

00:12:20.420 saying look this is popular and therefore you don't get any rights you don't just just shut your

00:12:25.380 mouth you don't get any rights we're just going to do exactly what we want and if you're protesting

00:12:29.940 you should probably read the room you should just read the room and do exactly what justin trudeau wants

00:12:35.380 you to do and the final worst take this is this is this is going to end up on fake news friday for 0.98

00:12:39.540 sure it's just so stupid so the cbc instead of instead of covering the issue instead of looking 0.96

00:12:45.780 at the issue of why these truckers are protesting the cbc just completely made up their own reason why 1.00

00:12:51.300 why the truckers are protesting everyone knows that the truckers are protesting against the vaccine

00:12:55.140 mandates except for the cbc who spun this story invented this story that the truckers are actually

00:13:00.980 protesting dangerous conditions on bc highways so here it reads hundreds of people joined a convoy

00:13:07.860 led by truckers in bc protesting hazardous road conditions on the province's highways the rally

00:13:14.660 organized by the west coast trucking association made its way from surrey to vancouver saturday in

00:13:19.220 hopes to bring awareness of the icy and dangerous road conditions that truckers have to deal with in

00:13:26.020 the winter season and then they find some guy some some guy who's like confused about what the

00:13:30.500 protest is actually about to say like oh yeah we're just we're just protesting the icy roads

00:13:35.060 we're we're these canadian truckers who are protesting winter basically we're protesting acts

00:13:39.940 of god sometimes we're driving and it's snowing and we want the plow to be there but the plow isn't

00:13:44.340 there yet and and so so they concocted this whole idea that this is what the protests were actually about

00:13:49.860 give me a break cbc this is just such a bad take and it's obviously not true as soon as they posted

00:13:55.460 this dumb story on social media it got ripped to shreds by everybody saying are you serious this is

00:14:01.220 not why they're protesting this is not why they're protesting nobody's out there protesting winter 0.95

00:14:05.300 they're protesting trudeau and the heavy-handed vaccine mandates and so they had to add this little

00:14:10.580 correction at the bottom saying it is different from another rally that left vancouver for ottawa

00:14:16.100 protesting vaccine mandates on sunday and so of course they added that after getting ridiculed because

00:14:20.660 everybody knew that the protests were not about the icy roads or the truckers aren't protesting winter

00:14:25.940 you know maybe one guy was out there protesting winter everyone else was out there protesting the

00:14:30.980 vaccine mandates and the cbc wrote the story about the one guy and pretended it was everyone and then

00:14:35.300 afterwards pretended that they knew the difference and they just had to clarify oh this is a different

00:14:39.460 rally than the big one that you've probably been seeing lots of images about on social media and and 1.00

00:14:45.140 and you know through through your friends online so really really stupid idiotic take by the cbc but 0.99

00:14:51.300 what do you expect i mean they're they're there to cover for justin trudeau and that is a pretty big 1.00

00:14:55.380 way to cover for him well look anyone who's paying attention knows that there are mounting concerns and

00:15:00.420 more and more canadians are voicing their concerns they're standing up they're saying enough is enough

00:15:04.180 we're going to get through this pandemic without a vaccine you cannot force us to do this anymore

00:15:08.260 your science doesn't add up your logic doesn't make sense we're tired of it enough is enough

00:15:12.660 and it's great to see so many canadians standing together and standing against

00:15:16.660 this tyrannical government i'm candace malcolm and this is the candace malcolm show
