00:00:00.000 When I watch the turmoil that's taking place on the streets of the United States of America,
00:00:10.140 I am overcome by sadness. It is so sad to see this happening. All of it, from all sides. All
00:00:17.960 of it is too much. All of it needs to be taken back a step. And yet what's also sad is all of
00:00:23.980 the responses we're hearing from so many different individuals in the media, politicians, corporations,
00:00:30.280 celebrities, athletes. So much of it, again, whatever perspective it takes, I feel like
00:00:35.000 most of it is actually about ratcheting things up, heating things up, as opposed to cooling it down
00:00:41.580 and bringing down the temperature. Everything you see up there is so lamentable. The United States
00:00:46.520 of America, arguably the best country in the world, greatest country in the world, arguably one of the
00:00:50.560 greatest countries in history, perhaps until very recently seeing themselves descending into anarchy
00:00:56.000 like all of this. You've got the Antifa activists, the Black Lives Matter activists. Supposedly these
00:01:01.100 are peaceful protests. You see the absolute violence, the mobs, the looting that is going on.
00:01:06.360 It is disgraceful. You see these self-described militia people. They're out and about in the
00:01:11.400 streets. They are armed. This 17-year-old who has been charged with murder. What is going on there?
00:01:16.440 Where are his parents? Why was he even out on the streets like that? And don't send me a message
00:01:20.740 about, well, there's states that carry laws. Okay, yeah, I know. I don't care. It still shouldn't
00:01:26.240 be happening. And these police videos, it's clearly too much. I appreciate people's frustrations. This
00:01:32.280 man being shot in the back seven times, that is definitely overkill. And yes, I know we can talk
00:01:37.340 about, well, was there a knife? Was he reaching for it? And so forth. I'm aware of all those nuances,
00:01:42.420 but let's make those nuances, again, calm things down to step everything back. And there are people
00:01:49.240 right now, and of course I'm speaking from Canada as I say this, who I think would like to see stuff
00:01:55.140 like that on the streets of Canada because they talk about these things in a way that says, well,
00:02:01.520 we have those same problems here. Okay, let's really be careful how we say that. Let's really
00:02:08.300 qualify our phrases there because we do not want to see the sorts of turmoil and anarchy that's going
00:02:14.620 on in the streets of the United States right now happening here in Canada. That's really
00:02:19.040 messed up stuff going on south of the border. I mean, that is really furthering their decay,
00:02:23.700 and that is sad, and that is tragic. At a time when there's so much opportunity out there for
00:02:28.880 everyone, we should be able to come together, and everybody should be able to prosper together.
00:02:34.120 For some reason, that's not happening. Something is broken. So do not goad this situation on in a way
00:02:39.540 that you wish it to come to Canada because none of it, none of it is good.
00:02:49.040 Thank you.
