00:00:27.500If the data said 95% of them were Afghans or 95% of them are Iraqi, if you are Italian or Portuguese or whatever it is, and it said 95% of those nationals that come into this country are committing these crimes, then we need to look at that data with the facts in front of us and do the things that are required to safeguard our children.
00:00:49.200in. Canada is a country where people are free to worship. That is not a debate. Muslims have0.67
00:00:58.580every right to pray. Christians have every right to go to church. Jews have every right to go to
00:01:02.760synagogue. Sikhs, Hindus, Buddhists, atheists, everyone has the same basic freedoms. That's
00:01:07.700what makes Canada, Canada. But here we are, and this is where the debate begins. In downtown
00:01:12.580Regina, a mosque has started broadcasting the Islamic call to prayer over outdoor loudspeakers
00:01:18.380on Fridays. Reports say it lasts roughly two to three minutes around the noon hour and that test
00:01:23.560has been approved to run temporarily. And now people are asking a very fair question. Where is
00:01:28.480the line between religious freedom and the public being expected to hear religious expression through
00:01:34.140an amplified speaker? So I want you to watch this video. This is the first time this has happened
00:01:39.660in Canada and I'm going to give you my take as a Muslim that was born here.
00:01:48.380this is not about your religion this is about to me and again as somebody that is the son of
00:02:03.280immigrants that came from afghanistan in iraq i was born in this country in canada i am a muslim
00:02:08.900it is about respecting the nature of this country and the fact that this country was built on
00:02:15.180Christian values, right? This country has the opportunity for people of all religions,
00:02:23.240all respects of where they've come from, to go ahead and practice what they believe in. Absolutely.
00:02:29.360But when does it come to a point where this is, in my opinion, not appropriate, right? This shows
00:02:35.600a lack of respect for the people around you. And to be honest with you, look, I've been to other
00:02:40.280countries, Dubai, Turkey, et cetera. They do this. They put it on the loudspeakers and it doesn't
00:02:45.860matter to me. Let's say I enjoy this. Maybe it's something that I like hearing. It shouldn't mean
00:02:51.480that I go ahead and push this upon everybody in loudspeakers in a country that is not fundamentally
00:02:57.800Muslim based. And that's where we've seen this happen in other countries that are predominantly0.87
00:03:02.500Muslim. They have this. Okay. But this is Canada, right? This is a country where we came in. And1.00
00:03:08.720And when I look and I speak to other Muslims and other immigrants, it's part of being respectful, assimilating, and understanding other people have different cultures, other religious beliefs.
00:03:17.780And to be putting it out on a loudspeaker, in my opinion, is a step too far.
00:03:21.640This does not mean I'm saying don't practice your religion.
00:03:24.760It doesn't mean I don't respect Muslims, myself, and other Muslims to practice what they believe.
00:03:32.920It means that you understand that you live in a predominantly, foundationally, in our Constitution.
00:03:37.740it's based on those Christian beliefs and values to be respectful. And with some people that
00:03:42.900compare this, by the way, to Christian churches and the bells ringing, that's totally, that is
00:03:48.800not a comparison that can be made, right? Like, look, I barely, to be honest with you, ever hear
00:03:53.540church bells ringing anymore. And that's a musical tone. That is bells playing, okay? This is a,
00:04:00.960you know, a recite that they put out over loudspeakers that is in a different language.
00:04:06.320It is totally different. It's words being propagated over loudspeaker versus bells of a Christian church, as an example. And so that's where I think it's a step too far. It's about respecting the people around you. And it's in my perspective, if you believe this is something that you need, then go to another Muslim country. It just doesn't make sense.
00:04:27.120And I find the other hypocritical thing is it's really funny. And again, this is just one example. Not all Muslim countries are like this, but like my mom is from Afghanistan. Okay. I'm part of Ghani. If you went to Afghanistan, guys, okay, and you played the Bible over loudspeaker, you are going to be stoned to death. Okay. I'm being dead serious.
00:04:49.180So it's just it's really funny when I when I see this. And then some Muslims will come and attack me and they have started to attack me because I share this perspective. And to be honest with you, these are the people that I unfortunately don't respect because they don't even want to debate. Right. They just immediately will try to vilify you. The entire point here is that we respect and we have to be self reflective of what we're trying to do in this country.
00:05:13.580If we are talking about ensuring that there's equality, ensuring that we accommodate for people's beliefs, we have to be respectful to others and their beliefs, and we shouldn't be putting this stuff on loudspeaker.
00:05:26.120I think it's a pretty common sense thing, but people can misconstrue it, and they'll say you're causing division and hate.
00:05:32.420But I'm telling you, as somebody that's Muslim and spoken to many Muslims, the majority of people that I speak to don't want this.
00:05:38.680right? We don't want this to be blasted via loudspeakers in the middle of a downtown in a
00:05:43.920major city in Canada. What we do want is the ability to express ourselves and be able to
00:05:49.300pray the way we want. And we all support that. As all Canadians, we support that regardless of
00:05:54.040your religious beliefs. But I really believe this is a step too far. Now talking about a step too
00:05:58.800far, we're going to flip the page to a story out of the UK, which has not gotten mainstream media
00:06:04.080attention. And honestly, if there's one thing that you followed me on, it's really about
00:06:08.680crime it's about public safety it's one of the key things that i hold near and dear to my heart
00:06:13.140and the reason why i think this is important is because it again comes to the fact that
00:06:18.600we are stopping public debate and discussion on something because people are scared to be called
00:06:24.060racist and that is allowing for hundreds of thousands of girls and women to be raped
00:06:30.160watch this video this is breaking news rather euphemistically because what we're talking about0.97
00:06:36.360is abduction and rape of minor white british girls on mass by pakistani adult men this report
00:06:44.680suggests that the number of white british girls who have been raped by pakistani men could be as
00:06:50.700high as about 250 000 and the report suggests in fact that the number could be higher the report
00:06:58.340quotes a senior imam from oxford as saying that 95 percent of the men involved are pakistanis
00:07:07.180this now is a report this is sick paints an alarming picture but the estimate does appear
00:07:13.680credible enough bearing in mind that most such cases never are reported given the nature of the
00:07:20.420crime and the nature of the offense and the circumstances around it and the government
00:07:24.400to try to kibosh the report young girls to report such offenses also at the center at Westminster
00:07:31.200there was a demand for an inquiry into this and Keir Starmer turned down that demand and got his
00:07:37.420MPs to vote against it and he's just resigned an inquiry has been ordered but this was under
00:07:43.240pressure and the terms of that inquiry are limited oh this makes me so sick to my stomach and I'm
00:07:49.240gonna say this right now people follow me you follow me you watch me because regardless of
00:07:53.920my background, I hold everybody accountable, including I am a Muslim and I will hold Muslims1.00
00:07:59.940to the fire on some of these egregious crimes that they are committing. I hold everybody to1.00
00:08:04.960the fire equally. I don't look at people by the background of their skin, their religious beliefs,
00:08:10.660et cetera. But when in the case, like in the UK, they ignore collecting the data. This is a very
00:08:17.640important part. They ignore collecting the data on racial profile and then an independent
00:08:23.560report comes out and says up to 96, 95% of the people are Pakistani nationals that are committing
00:08:30.620these heinous crimes since 1950. Over 200, about 250,000 people through an extrapolation. And I0.94
00:08:38.160will use an asterisk there because the government purposely did not collect the data of racial
00:08:44.360profile for these crimes. And the reason why I'm covering the story in Canada right now
00:08:48.500is because the same thing in terms of the data collection is happening here.
00:10:20.740Imagine if they had the data earlier on and said, well, clearly we have an issue.0.99
00:10:24.960There's clearly a 95% correlation of Pakistani nationals doing this in this country.0.93
00:10:30.160We have to solve that in this specific nuanced way.
00:10:33.600But instead, they obfuscated the data, and thus people were left to do anecdotals, anecdotals, and they never got to the root cause of it all.
