The Trudeau government is cheerleading a controversial United Nations initiative that has the potential
00:00:09.240
It's called the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration.
00:00:13.880
And UN representatives are meeting in Morocco on December 10th and 11th to discuss and to
00:00:21.400
Now it may sound like just another gathering of out-of-touch elites patting themselves
00:00:28.120
And the Compact's text itself insists that this agreement is non-binding.
00:00:32.860
But the ideas proposed in this United Nations Migration Compact are not your run-of-the-mill
00:00:40.300
This UN Compact is unprecedented and it is truly radical.
00:00:44.800
At its core, it seeks to make immigration a universal human right.
00:00:51.000
Here this is from the document's preamble, quote,
00:00:54.120
Refugees and migrants are entitled to the same universal human rights and fundamental freedoms,
00:01:00.860
which must be respected, protected and fulfilled at all times, end quote.
00:01:06.860
The agreement doesn't simply apply to bona fide refugees, those who are fleeing war and persecution,
00:01:11.860
those whose governments have just failed to protect them.
00:01:17.600
It seeks to change international law and international norms on migration and to blur the distinction
00:01:26.600
Now, as opposed to refugees, migrants are people who are simply looking for better opportunities,
00:01:32.600
better economic opportunities, and who have often failed to do so according to a country's
00:01:39.200
This Compact stops just short of saying that every person from around the world has the
00:01:43.600
right to come to Canada and become a Canadian citizen.
00:01:48.620
Citizenship would no longer be an honour or a privilege, it would become a right.
00:01:54.780
Alongside describing a world with basically no borders and no meaningful citizenship, the document
00:02:00.000
includes a particularly disturbing section about the media.
00:02:04.680
One of the guiding principles in this document is something that they call a whole-of-society
00:02:09.120
approach to promoting mass migration, including the role of the media.
00:02:14.480
It calls upon governments to, quote, promote independent objective and quality reporting, end quote.
00:02:21.480
But it also calls on governments to stop what it calls the, quote, allocation of public funding
00:02:26.880
or material support to media outlets that systematically promote xenophobia, intolerance, racism, and other
00:02:33.480
forms of discrimination towards migrants, end quote.
00:02:39.920
The UN wants governments to actively intervene in the media, to pick and choose which journalists
00:02:46.360
are worthy of promoting, all based on a radical ideology and a far-left, open-border worldview.
00:02:53.340
And if you oppose this type of radical thinking, well, you risk being labeled racist, intolerant, or xenophobic.
00:02:59.480
After all, those are some of Justin Trudeau's favorite insults.
00:03:03.920
The Conservative Party learned nothing from the last election and the lessons Canadians taught them.
00:03:09.380
They ran an election on snitch lines against Muslims.
00:03:13.480
They ran an election on Islamophobia and division.
00:03:17.580
And still, they play the same games, trying to scare Canadians.
00:03:22.700
The fact is, we always focus on the security of Canadians, and we always will.
00:03:29.140
And they play politics of fear, and Canadians reject that.
00:03:33.380
Is this what the Trudeau Liberal government had in mind when they unveiled their new $595 million
00:03:41.120
The Prime Minister and his top officials are known for name-calling.
00:03:44.120
They're known for attacking anyone who disagrees with their dogma on immigration, diversity,
00:03:53.000
Liberal officials frequently accuse their opponents of being intolerant, being xenophobic, and racist.
00:03:59.220
All for raising legitimate concerns about illegal immigration, border security, or terrorism.
00:04:05.120
Sadly, has chosen the language of fear and division.
00:04:09.560
They've chosen to intentionally use language that could potentially criminalize asylum seekers in the minds of Canadians.
00:04:19.680
It's irresponsible, it's divisive, it's fear-mongering, and it is not Canadian.
00:04:25.000
Are these accusations going to be tied to funding decisions for the media?
00:04:29.000
Will recipients of Trudeau's media slush fund be prohibited from criticizing open borders and mass migration?
00:04:36.920
Will funding be tied to an attestation to promote UN propaganda?
00:04:42.840
The Trudeau government has played a leading role in advancing this United Nations scheme.
00:04:48.940
Two Trudeau government cabinet ministers admitted so much in an article that they wrote back in September
00:04:59.920
The UN's global compact on refugees could be a game-changer, and Canada is well-placed to make it a reality.
00:05:08.920
This dystopian UN plan seeks to erase borders, destroy the concept of citizenship, undermine the rule of law, and circumvent Canadian sovereignty.
00:05:19.920
It could also have a chilling effect on free speech and the freedom of the press.
00:05:25.920
It could change what it means to be Canadian, and prevent media from criticizing these fundamental changes.
00:05:33.920
Look, several of our allies, including Australia, the US, and Israel, have already pulled out of this disastrous UN compact.
00:05:42.920
Around the world, political leaders and respected journalists are ringing the alarm bell.
00:05:46.920
In Canada, however, the Trudeau government is welcoming this UN scheme, while most Canadian journalists are failing to inform Canadians about the radical changes on our doorstep.
