Well, 2024 is closing with a bang for Justin Trudeau. He is not ending his ninth year as
00:00:13.460
prime minister quietly. In fact, it's all falling apart for him as we speak. But this year, like
00:00:19.220
every other year under Justin Trudeau's leadership, has been a year full of liberal
00:00:23.140
government mistakes and failures. And since we're at Christmas now, let's take a look back at some
00:00:28.060
of the worst liberal government failures of 2024. But before we do, be sure to drop a like on this
00:00:34.440
video. Help us out by subscribing to the Trudeau YouTube channel. And the comment question for the
00:00:38.540
episode is this. What was the worst liberal government failure of the year? Let me know
00:00:44.380
your answer in the comments below and let's get into it. Well, it's a no-brainer. We have to start
00:00:48.480
with the most obvious and most recent liberal government failure. And that is the resignation
00:00:54.740
of Chrystia Freeland and a growing liberal mutiny against Justin Trudeau. He ends the year with a
00:01:02.580
liberal caucus that wants him out as leader. He ends the year as a very lonely man, as a very lonely
00:01:09.220
leader, where his own people want him to go, the NDP now want him to go, and the Bloc and the
00:01:15.360
Conservatives want him to go as well. It is being reported all over the world that last Monday was
00:01:21.580
Justin Trudeau's worst day in office because not only did he lose his most trusted ally,
00:01:27.420
Chrystia Freeland, in a very public and scathing resignation letter, he also tabled a fall economic
00:01:33.680
statement that blew past his own government's deficit projections by over $15 billion. The
00:01:40.300
growing liberal mutiny has been in place for quite a while now. It all started when Justin Trudeau
00:01:46.240
and his liberals lost the Toronto St. Paul's by-election. A few days after that, liberal
00:01:51.680
backbenchers began calling for his head. And the situation is only getting worse. So Chrystia Freeland's
00:01:58.380
resignation and the liberal mutiny is our top liberal failure. How about that foreign interference
00:02:05.000
inquiry, an issue that has plagued this government for over two years now? Last year was the year the
00:02:10.940
dam broke on the story. It was the year that we all became aware of just how deep the CCP infiltration
00:02:18.380
into our political system really was. But this year we began to get some actual names involved in this
00:02:25.120
operation. And we also got to see Justin Trudeau use the inquiry as a political weapon against the
00:02:32.980
Conservatives. Earlier on in 2024, Marie-Jose Hogue, the commissioner of the inquiry, told Canadians that
00:02:40.360
they are not going to publicly release the names of former or current parliamentarians involved in
00:02:47.640
foreign interference operations. So we're going to allow all the traders to keep their jobs in
00:02:53.040
parliament, sit in the House of Commons, and potentially run for election so Canadians can
00:02:58.600
have the opportunity to vote for a trader. What a good result. Good job, guys. Well then, a few months
00:03:03.960
after that, journalist Sam Cooper, along with independent member of parliament Kevin Vuong, began
00:03:09.740
releasing names to the public who they are certain are winning or unwitting participants in foreign
00:03:16.040
interference operations. One of them is Trade Minister Mary Ng, who was accused of being an
00:03:22.280
unwitting conspirator in a foreign interference operation backed by the Communist Party of China.
00:03:28.240
You also had Liberal MP Parm Baines accused of being involved in a CCP-backed foreign interference
00:03:35.120
operation, as well as current Senator Yuen Pao Wu and former Conservative Senator Victor Oh. The fact
00:03:43.440
that that story had to be released by an independent journalist and an independent member of parliament
00:03:47.520
makes that one of the Liberal government's top failures of 2024. While immigration has been a major
00:03:55.420
issue in this country for over a year now, Justin Trudeau's mass immigration agenda, welcoming in
00:04:01.520
millions of temporary residents, millions of international students, and hundreds of thousands
00:04:07.280
of temporary foreign workers, resulted in this country turning its back on the immigration consensus.
00:04:14.960
Giving up on the idea that immigration is good for Canada. And can you even blame Canadians at this
00:04:20.400
point? Well, the situation got so bad for the Liberal government that they had to completely reverse their own
00:04:27.200
immigration targets just a few months ago. Justin Trudeau went from last year telling Canadians that
00:04:35.440
more immigration relieves pressure on the Canadian economic system to now saying that actually we're
00:04:43.360
going to have flat population growth. We're going to completely reverse our immigration targets.
00:04:49.520
What a failure. You know, he could have just saved himself that failure by not being an immigration
00:04:55.040
extremist by not being a open borders zealot. But of course, he couldn't help himself and nor could the
00:05:00.960
Liberal government. And so that is one of our major Liberal government failures of 2024. Talk about another
00:05:07.040
failure, the Green Slush Fund scandal. Just add it to the list. Just add it to the growing list of Liberal
00:05:14.320
government corruption, of Liberal government scandals. We can now add the Green Slush Fund scandal.
00:05:22.480
Sustainable Development Technology Canada, a government-backed foundation which received over
00:05:29.040
$2 billion in federal funding to dole out to companies for green energy, had to be shut down
00:05:35.680
in July after the Auditor General flagged potential conflicts of interest. The Auditor General found 10
00:05:42.800
projects to be ineligible from the SDTC that received $59 million anyway. You want to say it's
00:05:50.640
unbelievable. You want to be able to say this corruption is hard to imagine, but really,
00:05:55.360
is it hard to believe? They just keep doing it year after year. So the SDTC scandal and the Liberal
00:06:02.160
government's attempt to cover it up do not provide documents to the House of Commons. That is on our
00:06:07.920
list of major Liberal failures for 2024. And finally, how about the complete failure when it comes to India-Canada
00:06:17.680
relations? Now, I'm not going to sit here and say that the Trudeau government's response to credible
00:06:23.920
allegations and intelligence that the Indian government was behind the murder of a Canadian
00:06:28.480
citizen was wrong. What I am going to say is that the Liberal government brought this upon themselves.
00:06:35.040
For years, they have been playing it way too soft with Calistani extremists. They have allowed this
00:06:42.000
situation to get out of control, and their open border allowed agents of the government of India
00:06:48.800
to come into our country to start carrying out extrajudicial executions. So not only has the
00:06:55.920
government been soft on alleged terrorists, has been soft on extremists, the government's failure to
00:07:04.080
control our border resulted in this situation getting out of control in the first place, which then
00:07:08.880
triggered months of ongoing diplomatic disputes that dominated world headlines. That triggered secular
00:07:15.040
brawls in our streets between Hindus and Sikhs. This fractured Canadian society, especially among the
00:07:20.880
Indian diaspora, and it made Canada a laughing stock on the world stage. It all could have been avoided,
00:07:27.840
but it wasn't. And so that is why it is on our list of top Liberal government failures for 2024.
00:07:34.880
That's all we got on the show for today. Let us know in the comments what you think we missed,
00:07:38.720
or what you think Justin Trudeau's worst moment of 2024 was. I will see you all next week,
00:07:44.400
but until then, enjoy Christmas. Rejoice in the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Enjoy Christmas,
00:07:51.200
everyone. We'll see you next week for the Ratio of the Year award show. Until then, enjoy. Thank you so
00:07:58.240
much. My name is Harrison Faulkner, and this is Ratioed.
