00:00:35.740 going to do. And I'll tell you what that is, because he just reiterated this talking point,

00:00:45.740 have to stand in the face of what very likely will be negative, divisive campaigns while
00:00:51.300 we stay positive. Because we know that scaring people and dividing people might lead to short
00:00:57.260 term electoral gains. But it ends up hurting your capacity to govern for everyone. So we've
00:01:02.780 been hearing this a lot from Justin Trudeau, this, I'm not going to fear monger. I'm not
00:01:07.140 going to call people names. I'm going to run a positive campaign. I'm going to take the high
00:01:11.720 road. And then what does he do that sometimes that very same day, or at least his proxies and
00:01:16.880 other ministers and people like Gerald Butts? Well, they go and they call people who aren't
00:01:20.860 100% on board with their agenda, mean and nasty names. We will drag along the Neanderthals
00:01:27.200 who don't agree with that. And that will be our continuing approach. Well, I'm not a
00:01:32.020 Neanderthal. Ontario, sadly, has chosen the language of fear and division. They've chosen to
00:01:38.580 intentionally use language that could potentially criminalize asylum seekers in the minds of
00:01:46.760 Canadians. It's irresponsible, it's divisive, it's fear mongering, and it is not Canadian.
00:02:02.420 It's a very, very odd psychological thing that they're doing. It's like they go on and
00:02:07.140 on accusing people of fear mongering. But you know, if you're going on about fear mongering
00:02:11.660 nonstop, isn't that itself a version of fear mongering? And the question is, for how long
00:02:17.960 are Canadians going to tolerate this? Are they going to see through this clear double standard?
00:02:22.040 I remember the other year when Andrew Scheer rose in the House of Commons and he asked a
00:02:25.820 pretty basic question about, what are you going to do, Prime Minister, of the dozens of returning
00:02:29.840 ISIS fighters you've got on home soil just sort of walking around freely? Justin Trudeau turned
00:02:34.740 around and accused Andrew Scheer of Islamophobia for that question.
00:02:39.100 When will the Prime Minister take the security of Canadians seriously and look for ways to put
00:02:43.880 these ISIS fighters in jail?
00:02:46.980 The Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Speaker, the Conservative Party learned nothing from the
00:02:53.060 last election and the lessons Canadians taught them. They ran an election on snitch lines against
00:02:59.060 Muslims. They ran an election on Islamophobia and division. And still, they play the same games
00:03:06.980 trying to scare Canadians. The fact is, we always focus on the security of Canadians and we always
00:03:14.540 will. And they play politics of fear and Canadians reject that.
00:03:19.480 I mean, what? Where's the connection? But few people even paid attention. Nobody picked it up. There
00:03:25.560 weren't stories of outrage about the Prime Minister maligning Andrew Scheer for no good reason. I mean,
00:03:30.360 I wrote a column about it, but practically nobody else did. Are Canadians going to catch up to this?
