00:00:14.880 than a few clues that he is planning a radical redesign of the Canadian economy.

00:00:26.840 Parliament will reconvene on September 23rd with a throne speech, which will
00:00:32.460 automatically be subject to a confidence vote in the government. The opposition
00:00:37.660 Conservatives and the Bloc Québécois will undoubtedly vote against it. The
00:00:41.840 Greenies will likely vote with the Liberals. What remains to be seen is how
00:00:46.360 Jagmeet Singh and his NDP group will vote. If he props up the minority Liberal
00:00:52.040 government, I believe he will have relegated the NDP to perpetual also-rans.
00:00:57.740 Never again will they be taken seriously as a political party, as they were back in
00:01:03.260 the days of Jack Layton. Jagmeet Singh is no Jack Layton. Trudeau has indicated he will
00:01:10.080 take our government, and our spending, which is already well over the top, onto
00:01:14.600 some sort of green platform. John Iveson wrote in the National Post that liberal
00:01:19.420 insiders and career bureaucrats are very nervous about what Trudeau is going to
00:01:23.800 do. So too should every Canadian. He has already taken our debt into the
00:01:29.620 stratosphere at significantly more than one trillion dollars. Our deficit is
00:01:36.580 currently running at about three hundred and eighty billion dollars. In 1993 when
00:01:42.180 Jean Chrétien assumed government and appointed Paul Martin as the Minister of
00:01:46.120 Finance, our deficit was about 35 billion dollars. He instituted a series of belt
00:01:52.420 tightening exercises and reined in what was then seen as a runaway economy amid
00:01:57.640 profligate government spending. We are now more than ten times worse and with
00:02:04.420 Trudeau's upcoming throne speech it promises to be much, much worse. And the
00:02:11.080 Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance Christia Freeland, and the Environment
00:02:15.760 Minister Jonathan Wilkinson are all promising that addressing climate change
00:02:20.200 will be the government's priority in the upcoming throne speech. The country is in
00:02:26.440 a significant recession, if not depression, post COVID-19. Businesses are
00:02:32.200 closed and many will never reopen. The Prime Minister is under yet another ethics
00:02:37.420 investigation and perhaps two RCMP investigations, all the while he
00:02:42.520 prorogued Parliament in an attempt to deflect criticism and parliamentary
00:02:46.780 committee investigations into the WE scandal. The issue of school reopenings and
00:02:51.660 rebellious teachers unions have parents across the country very anxious and the
00:02:57.360 nonsensical issue of climate change is this Prime Minister's priority. This is
00:03:04.660 going to be very expensive. Justin Trudeau is talking about programs to pay for
00:03:09.820 things like retrofeeding office buildings with green technology, a new
00:03:14.200 carbon-based tax and eliminating fossil fuels. He has already done as much damage
00:03:19.000 to the oil and gas sector in Western Canada and fomented a long-dormant
00:03:24.160 Western separation movement that threatens to rip the country apart. Some estimates are
00:03:31.360 that the Liberals will commit north of $100 billion for these initiatives. That is on
00:03:37.480 top of the $380 billion deficit. Spending ourselves into prosperity on this
00:03:43.820 nonsense will not work. Dalton McGuinty proved that when he was Premier of Ontario and
00:03:49.060 now Justin Trudeau wants to repeat that insanity on a national level. This is
00:03:55.480 reckless and foolish. The throne speech and reacting to it will be the first
00:04:01.120 significant test for newly minted Conservative leader Erin O'Toole and will
00:04:06.220 give the country a good indicator if he is truly a Prime Minister-in-waiting or
00:04:10.060 merely a pretender to the throne. And Jagmeet Singh has given no indication if he
00:04:16.560 will do the right thing for the country and vote no confidence in the
00:04:19.960 government, triggering an election as the Liberals try to outflank the NDP on their
00:04:25.920 left. Make no mistake about it, with this huge proposed shift to the left the
00:04:33.400 leadership of this Prime Minister should be placed before the electorate and the
00:04:38.180 choice in the election if triggered will be clear. Dramatic socialist policies or
