00:00:00.000 In order to protect American car manufacturers and American farmers,
00:00:04.660 we have two modifications to the IEPA tariffs that have already been announced against Canada and Mexico.
00:00:10.380 This first order relates to Canada.
00:00:12.860 Essentially, what it will allow for is the flow of parts and sub-assembly products into America
00:00:21.380 to allow American car manufacturers to continue building cars.
00:00:26.200 It basically excludes USMCA-eligible goods from existing tariffs.
00:00:30.100 And also in order to help our farmers at this crucial time of year,
00:00:34.140 we're going to be reducing the tariff imposed on Canadian potash from 25 percent to 10 percent.
00:00:40.420 So this is a modification to our tariff regime to protect American car manufacturers and American farmers.
00:00:46.820 It basically makes it more fair for our car manufacturers during the short-term period before April 2nd.
00:00:54.280 April 2nd is a little bit different that will be much more significant but
00:01:00.940 this during this interim period between now and April 2nd this makes it much
00:01:06.700 more favorable for our American car manufacturers
00:01:12.320 can you see that peter look nice to be tall peter right i see right over you can see it's so nice
00:01:32.380 that's why he's such a gentleman he doesn't have to rush
00:01:36.940 okay and this is the same just for mexico sir the previous one same thing for mexico
00:01:41.580 One for Canada, one for Mexico. 0.97
00:01:43.580 Yes, sir.
