00:01:06.260 not hiring Canadian. And what Ford just attempted to do was compound that problem. There is

00:01:13.360 a case to be made that, yes, having all these asylum seekers in hotels and the feds are

00:01:18.980 finally set to pull funding for this. What the heck is he supposed to do with a problem that

00:01:25.500 has largely been put on his front door by the federal government? But it wasn't this. No one

00:01:31.160 was asking for this, except for maybe, maybe some shadowy lobby groups, such as the Century

00:01:38.960 Initiative, which is Canada's sort of mass immigration advocacy effort, which their

00:01:45.640 corporate sponsors include three of the major banks and the Globe and Mail. Maybe this was

00:01:52.960 dreamed up over his supposed late night campfire tale with Mark Carney during that first minister's

00:02:01.900 week. This is a man that he ostensibly endorsed during the federal election while Ford and some

00:02:09.420 of his inner circle were busy lobbing bombs at the federal conservatives. And I know you don't

00:02:15.620 recall asking for what he just tried to pull. And so many groups like the Coalition, now Project

00:02:22.040 Ontario, you know, they're fighting for the little guy here, Michelle Rempel, the shadow minister

00:02:28.040 of immigration in the House. She's been absolutely terrific. And the real concern here right now is

00:02:36.740 that we don't want to be talking about immigration during a summer slowdown.

00:02:43.680 But there's a concerted effort to further undercut these kids,
