On top of the proposed ban on handguns, the Liberal government is also proposing a ban on air guns, or replicas of real firearms that look like toy guns, but are in fact replicas and look real. And now, Liberal MP Paul Chang s 478-page amendment seeks to ban thousands of long guns, thousands of guns that are not used to commit any crimes in this country.

00:00:00.000 And last but not least, along with the red flag laws and along with the yellow flag laws,
00:00:04.360 and on top of the total freeze on handguns, the government was also proposing a prohibition on
00:00:09.640 air guns, or guns that closely resemble real firearms, but are not real firearms,
00:00:14.740 like replicas, or better known as toy guns, but toy guns that look real. And now,
00:00:19.600 Liberal MP Paul Chang's 478-page amendment seeks to ban thousands of long guns,
00:00:25.560 thousands of guns that are not used to commit any crimes in this country. As we all know,
00:00:30.800 a gun in the wrong hands can kill somebody. It's a very dangerous thing, even if it's the
00:00:34.140 Plankster that's used to shoot tin cans. It's still bad. But gun owners in Canada are some of
00:00:38.960 the safest Canadians in the country. Even if they wanted to have illegal guns, they wouldn't be able
00:00:43.580 to because the government is constantly surveilling them. And whether or not you think that's a good
00:00:47.040 thing or not, the truth is, they are very safe. And no one, not even the Liberals, are able to say
00:00:51.680 that the licensed gun owners in Canada are the ones committing gun crime. We all know who commits
00:00:56.000 gun crime, and they're not the legal gun owners. They're not the licensed gun owners. They're
00:00:59.280 gangbangers in our biggest cities. Now, Justin Trudeau, Marco Mendocino, and the Liberal government,
00:01:03.940 they always like to use the term assault-style weapons. They always like to try and scare Canadians 0.99
00:01:08.680 to say, well, the guns we're taking off the street are military assault-style weapons. Should we take a
00:01:14.680 look at some of these dangerous, scary, military-style assault weapons, as the government always says?
00:01:19.300 Why don't we take a look, actually, at what is in this new amendment? Oh, look at this scary gun here,
00:01:23.520 the Ruger No. 1. As the National Post puts it, if you're looking to hold up a liquor store,
00:01:27.460 it is probably your worst option. It's only got one shot, so you've got to fire it once,
00:01:31.580 and then you've got to load it up again with another bullet, each time, one after another.
00:01:35.140 Take a look at this one. It's the Mossberg 702 Plankster. It's all black, so it's kind of scary 1.00
00:01:39.940 looking, but as the name suggests, it's used for shooting tin cans, target practice.
00:01:44.980 The National Post does say, however, that it's got about the same amount of firepower
00:01:50.200 as the gunpowder-activated concrete hammer that you can buy at the Home Depot, but again, like I said,
00:01:56.180 you see this one a lot in downtown Toronto. You see it in the back alleys of Scarborough,
00:02:01.160 where all the gang members like to hang out. It's a very common-used gun in the downtown Toronto
00:02:07.000 gang scene, the Plankster. Oh, look at this guy here, the Wesley Richards Model 1897. Another .22
00:02:13.680 caliber gun, so just like the Plankster, it's got a lot of firepower, a lot of danger there.
00:02:18.120 As the model name suggests, it is in fact from the 19th century, and it also comes with some pretty
00:02:24.840 nice engravings on the side. So we've got a serious gun here, and it says in the original
00:02:30.660 marketing for the gun, it is used for rabbit shooting. So designed for rabbit shooting, but
00:02:36.320 take Justin Trudeau's word for it. He says we're not going after hunting rifles, but again,
00:02:40.840 the Wesley Richards from 1897 is very dangerous looking, but kind of cool looking gun here.
00:02:47.340 It must be banned in order to keep our city safe. The liberal government is banning any break action
00:02:53.440 shotgun, which as the name sounds, you actually break the gun in half to load two shotgun shells
00:02:58.980 into it and cock it back into place where you can shoot, and they're shotgun shells. But Canada's 0.81
00:03:03.680 trying to ban almost every single type of break action shotgun, which includes almost all the guns
00:03:08.960 made by a manufacturer called Parker Brothers, which is an American gun maker, which hasn't
00:03:13.400 existed since the 1940s. I think one of the funniest parts about this amendment is that
00:03:17.000 in their extremely long copy and pasted list of weapons that they have decided to ban,
00:03:22.240 they didn't even bother to look at some of these options because take a look at here. One of the
00:03:25.780 guns that is banned in the list is called the Webley and Amp Amp Amp Scott Wildfowl gun. So not only
00:03:34.700 do the names have Wildfowl and Duck in the gun, they're not even spelled right. It's clearly copy
00:03:41.860 and pasted with Webley Amp Amp Amp Amp. As you can see, liberals are very serious about keeping
00:03:47.240 Canadian city safe. That's why they're going after the Webley Amp Amp Amp gun and the finely engraved
00:03:53.800 Italian Canceri rifle, along with the Parker gun, the break action shotgun, and the Wesley Richards 1897
00:04:01.980 very dangerous, very scary military-style assault weapon. So as you can see, the guns that are being
00:04:07.800 banned have the name Wildfowl and Duck in them, among, I'm sure, many of them. So they're actually
00:04:13.480 designed to shoot ducks. The guns are designed for hunting. But liberal cabinet ministers like
00:04:17.260 Marco Mendicino and Justin Trudeau are brazenly telling people that they're not going after hunters.
00:04:22.020 Take a look at these two.
00:04:23.140 Mr. Speaker, we've been very clear that we are not targeting law-abiding hunters and fishers.
00:04:29.680 We're not going after shotguns or rifles. We have banned military-style assault weapons.
00:04:36.560 Mr. Speaker, in fact, my colleague from the Conservative Party is wrong. We are not targeting hunters.
00:04:43.960 In fact, I met members of the hunting community this morning to assure them that what we are
00:04:49.360 going after are the AR-15-style firearms, which have been used in far too many mass casualties
00:04:55.080 across the country.
00:04:59.680 Thank you, Mr. Fuhrman
