00:00:00.000 One thing for certain is that I expect little of the government of Justin Trudeau and I
00:00:10.800 inevitably get exactly that. You can almost bet money on the fact that he and his less than stellar
00:00:19.560 ministers we usually do the wrong thing for exactly the wrong reasons. Take for example
00:00:25.560 the proposal by Tech Resources to pump 20 billion dollars into an Alberta oil
00:00:32.100 science mine project called Frontier. The project will not cost the taxpayer
00:00:38.460 anything not one red cent. All the company needs is a green light from the Trudeau
00:00:43.800 government. The project will inject some much-needed investment into what has
00:00:49.500 become a stagnant economy courtesy of other bad liberal decisions. It will
00:00:55.180 employ thousands of folks in a market that desperately needs it. But no,
00:01:00.940 apparently the liberal caucus is divided over this particular application. So
00:01:06.880 instead of doing the right thing like a real leader would do, Trudeau is
00:01:11.080 considering doing the typical liberal thing. Instead of approving the project,
00:01:16.140 the liberals are talking about providing an aid package to Alberta. Aid to Alberta?
00:01:22.420 Canada? That in and of itself shows a profound lack of understanding for Albertan. Alberta doesn't
00:01:30.060 want liberal aid. They want jobs and the government to get out of the way. They have lost over a hundred
00:01:38.500 thousand good-paying energy sector jobs in the past couple of years. They're used to being the
00:01:44.480 economic engine of Canada, not a poor cousin with its handout. But the liberal mindset doesn't get that.
00:01:51.660 The Laurentian elites think there's no shortage of taxpayer dollars and everything will be fine if they
00:01:59.300 just throw some more of it around. There is a very real Western separation movement dubbed WEXIT.
00:02:07.920 Why the Prime Minister would want to do anything to fan the flames of separation is anyone's guess.
00:02:13.760 Especially when doing nothing won't cost the country anything. Granted, he'd have to stand up to the
00:02:22.040 Laurentian elites who worship at the altar of climate change and listen to the bleatings of a 16 year old
00:02:28.480 girl. But instead of dealing with the issue, or indeed the second derailment of a train carrying crude
00:02:35.580 oil in Saskatchewan in two months, hmm, if only we could figure out another safer way to transport oil.
00:02:43.220 Hmm. Anyway, the Prime Minister has decided to jet off at the taxpayer's expense to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia,
00:02:52.260 where he has met with the Prime Minister and the President there. Why is a whole other question?
00:02:59.020 The government officially says they are opening negotiations towards a new foreign investment
00:03:04.860 protection agreement. Uh-huh. Ethiopia is a net importer of Canadian goods and has, depending on
00:03:13.060 whose metrics are being used, something in the neighborhood of the 167th economy ranked in the
00:03:21.060 world. What the government won't say is that Trudeau is vying for one of the two rotating seats at the
00:03:28.080 UN Security Council. Apparently Canada, who is competing with Ireland and Norway for the seat,
00:03:34.540 needs the support of the Ethiopian government in the United Nations. So the Prime Minister is trying
00:03:41.680 to figure out what that support is going to cost the Canadian taxpayer. It's ridiculous, of course, 0.81
00:03:49.160 but this is the priority of this liberal government. We can always rely on Trudeau to do the wrong thing. 0.79
