00:00:00.240 What do you think? Is beauty in the eye of the beholder?
00:00:05.600 Yes, when we're thinking about character. So I think personally for me, I write myself a four
00:00:15.120 physically. Really? What? Yeah, I'm definitely not four.
00:00:18.320 I'm pretty, you're not a four. No, no, no. But I genuinely like,
00:00:23.440 it doesn't bother me. I'm just, I'm very objective about it. I write myself a four.
00:00:27.600 However, I honestly believe what we're missing today is like, everybody's saying that what it
00:00:34.160 appears to be. Everybody's saying, oh, I'm a 10, I'm a 10. But they misconstrued it in terms of their
00:00:38.160 personality, everything as a package, they're a 10. So there is no room for improvement. And
00:00:45.360 I mean, I'm thinking about like, at what point does humility come in? You know, it seems like
00:00:51.040 non-existent. Therefore, they won't really do any, you know, introspection and are they self-aware and
00:00:56.720 all that stuff. So I'm just saying, just saying you're a 10, it's just, it's problematic. But
00:01:01.520 from what I'm saying is that, um, so I think I'm a four, but with my personality and everything and
00:01:07.520 my character, all these very important things, they kind of make the package, they make the person.
00:01:12.160 And these are the ways that people fall in love, um, you know, with somebody's character. So I think
00:01:19.040 that's what they're fundamentally missing when they just say they're a 10. Okay, so you're a 10,
00:01:23.920 but what about your personality? I'm a 10 there as well. I'm just perfect all around,
00:01:29.600 which just comes across as arrogance to me. What do you guys think of the body positivity movement?
00:01:38.240 In terms of what? Do you think it's good for society? No, it isn't. Why? Well, uh, whose,
00:01:48.400 whose body are we saying that it's that, that they're fine? Like what, what, what change has,
00:01:54.400 have we seen? I don't know. I'm just, I just wanted to know how you think.
00:01:58.080 Uh, well, for example, like I think about a while ago, I saw, uh, a clearly obese woman, uh, on the
00:02:05.200 cover of a magazine. I can't remember what magazine it was, but then they said very clearly, this is
00:02:09.760 healthy. And I'm just like, are they trying to manipulate me into thinking that that's healthy? And
00:02:14.560 she was in sportswear, but clearly she's not. It's like, clearly you ain't going to the gym.
00:02:19.920 I know, right? And she was on the treadmill in a mid, like, come on.
00:02:23.120 But, but, but what I find generally heartbreaking is that, okay, yes, I'm, I'm physically slim.
00:02:28.800 Right. So people are going to be like, oh, you're just like fat shaming, but I genuinely have concerns
00:02:33.040 for her. So when I see people who are like, oh yeah, girl, you're a 10. Sorry. I can't speak like that.
00:02:37.920 I'm terrible, but yeah. Yeah. You know, yes, queen. And I'm like, I'm, it breaks my heart.
00:02:43.520 I'm just like, you don't care about her. You're not telling her, you're not encouraging her to
00:02:47.680 change. You know, there's a risk of diabetes. Are they saying, um, diabetes is a 10? Are they saying
00:02:52.000 asthma is a 10? Are they saying depression is a 10? Uh, so yeah, you can say, yeah, you're a 10,
00:02:56.880 but no one's there when she's crying all alone and she has all these health problems.
00:03:02.160 What happens to all that energy then? And it is really heartbreaking. And I've seen,
00:03:05.760 and I've seen plenty of people who have been obese and they've, uh, you know, they made TikToks
00:03:11.600 and stuff. And they say, um, on the TikTok, uh, I've done this to myself or I'm going to take
00:03:17.440 responsibility. And then you see their progression and there's so much happier and they're not in
00:03:22.320 that delusion. And somebody who genuinely cares about you will tell you the ugly truth,
00:03:27.200 but they are telling you, they're not telling you a beautiful lie. And that's what you want from a
00:03:31.200 friend. And that's what we should have in society. If you have, everybody's like, oh yeah,
00:03:34.720 you're fine. Yeah. You're fine. Yeah. You're fine. Um, it's actually really unfair. And I'm just
00:03:40.080 thinking like, in a way I think it's really sinister. Cause if I was fat and my friend told
00:03:45.280 me, you're fine. I'm like, she doesn't give a shit about me. She really doesn't. She would
00:03:48.960 have told me this is, you're actually ill. You're not well. And the moment I get on that treadmill
00:03:53.360 and she's there by my side, you know, championing me on, I'm like, well, that is a friend. So the
00:03:58.640 moment I see people are like encouraging very unhealthy behavior, uh, it really does genuinely
00:04:04.720 break my heart. And I, I just like my genetics or whatever is, you know, people say, oh, you're,
00:04:10.400 you're slim. You can afford to say that. No, I genuinely care about people and I encourage them.
00:04:15.440 And when I see people obviously are, yeah, it really questions. Um, it makes me question their
00:04:20.960 motives. Like you have an agenda. Why are you, you know, encouraging clearly unhealthy behavior?
00:04:26.080 And is that why you don't agree? You don't think the body positivity movement is positive?
00:04:31.440 No, I, I, well, it's false body positivity because it's saying you're fine the way you
00:04:37.840 are and there is no, you know, improve. There is no, uh, they're not, we're not championing
00:04:43.200 improvement is what I'm saying. Okay. I think that's a good point that you made. Um, but I would like
00:04:49.040 to like draw upon like the opposite side of that. Like obviously with body positivity, it's not just about,
00:04:53.040 um, like weight. It's about like skin texture, skin color. Yeah. But that's like one of the
00:04:57.520 biggest things I've seen. You, you've seen more between like weight. Yeah. I don't, I don't really
00:05:02.240 see skin texture or skin color. That kind of thing. Or like people that don't shave, people are hairier.
00:05:10.000 Yeah. I mean, I don't want to see that. Like why are they putting that? I miss the days when models
00:05:18.160 would make me feel bad about myself and I would put their picture on the treadmill and I'd start
00:05:23.200 running. I didn't bring them back. I think you've got to find a balance because if you go to the other
00:05:29.440 end of the spectrum and someone's really underweight and it's being advertised, it's, it's not gonna,
00:05:36.000 that's not so great. I think you are, you are ultimately, ultimately you are fine the way you are
00:05:41.360 because I don't think no one can tell you anything. Obviously if you're having these health issues,
00:05:45.520 then definitely needs to be addressed. But, um, yeah, to be honest with you.
00:05:51.440 So you think you're fine the way you are at 300 pounds?
00:05:55.040 Not necessarily. You're not. I do think you should, you should definitely do something about that.
00:06:01.280 But I think it's about being realistic. If these types of things are being shown on media,
00:06:07.280 then I think it should be shown in a way to show that, listen, whether it's bad or good,
00:06:12.400 uh, there are people like this and they're still part of society, et cetera, et cetera. It doesn't,
00:06:16.960 it doesn't, it doesn't deem you, uh, a certain way in a negative way, if that makes sense.
00:06:23.760 Don't you think it normalizes it? Because shouldn't obesity not be normal? Shouldn't it be abnormal?
00:06:29.840 Isn't that what we should want? I think obesity shouldn't be the norm, but I do feel like there are
00:06:34.800 people that are just going to be bigger and there's people that are going to be smaller regardless.
00:06:37.840 Like if we put everyone on the same diet, people will still be different sizes.
00:06:42.080 But not like morbidly obese.
00:06:43.920 I did say like not obese. I said like people are going to be different sizes. And I think,
00:06:47.680 um, it'd be interesting if body positivity went in the, in the way, in the direction that we're like,
00:06:51.600 okay, they're going to be people that are different sizes and they're still a part of society.
00:06:56.080 They still should be respected. We still need to treat them like humans. I think that's kind of what
00:06:59.920 the direction it should have gone in instead of like normalizing, um, being morbidly obese.
00:07:04.320 I think that's your point. But I, but I think people will say when you say all shapes and sizes,
00:07:08.160 they will put in morbidly obese. Like that's fine. Unless you explicitly say except morbidly obese,
00:07:12.880 but then you will be, you know, shamed for fat shaming. No, like, I mean, like genetically,
00:07:18.160 like you're going to be shorter. I might be taller. Someone might be, I don't, I don't want to say that
00:07:22.560 use the term big boned because it doesn't really make sense, but some people are going to be broader
00:07:26.240 and have wider shoulders. Like, this is like the reason why a lot of people pursue different sports.
00:07:29.920 Um, you just built different, you know, regardless of diet and how, how you train, you can't really
00:07:36.240 change your genetics by that much. Some people achieve certain muscle formations that certain
00:07:40.880 people won't have, you know, I want to show you guys, um, something that I saw on Twitter today.
00:07:47.040 I'm going to blessing. And this is, I'm going to send it to you. You may send it on Instagram.
00:07:51.440 Yeah. Cause it's, it's an extra one. I don't think it's like normal to the extent here. Let me,
00:08:01.680 uh, okay. I saw a picture on Twitter today. That was like a beach from the seventies or like it was
00:08:09.200 before the seventies, maybe sixties, fifties and obesity really wasn't normal. Then if you go to a
00:08:14.320 third world country, it's not normal. Even, even like there weren't even really overweight people.
00:08:20.400 Um, and so I feel like when you put them on the cover of magazines, it's like, you're saying find,
00:08:27.120 like, find me attractive. You must find me attractive. And when you're like, uh, not really,
00:08:33.280 like, I wouldn't want to look like that ever at all. Not even a little bit. They, they say your body
00:08:39.360 shaming, but it's just like, honest. Do you know what I have more issue with? I don't really have an
00:08:43.680 issue with putting someone that's large on in front of a magazine. I have more of an issue with like
00:08:48.080 the magazine's intentions because a lot of these big magazines have promoted like hyper skinny
00:08:53.520 or underweight women for like the past 10 years or past decades before. And then just to put a
00:08:58.560 larger woman in front of the magazine all of a sudden is like, yeah, let's just forget all the
00:09:03.680 past women we promoted before. And this is a new standard of beauty. I don't really like that
00:09:07.920 kind of narrative where like, okay, we're just going to switch up now. And this is what we support
00:09:11.440 when that's really not what they're about.
00:09:13.040 Mm-Hmm. What do you, what do you mean? Cause like, let's say you use like like Marilyn Monroe,
00:09:18.960 she wasn't underweight. She was like a pinnacle of beauty. Yeah. But she's like one woman. Yeah.
00:09:24.800 I think that's the exception, not the rule when it comes to everybody had that hourglass figure.
00:09:29.360 That's why it's so iconic. Yeah. I feel like that was like, because of the fashion at the time,
00:09:33.760 if you look at the kind of the dresses that they wear, it's very like skirts are very high-waisted
00:09:37.840 and it's very tight at this point. I think it's more to the fashion and emulating this type of style.
00:09:42.320 As many of you know, I was just banned on TikTok and we are demonetized on a daily basis on this
